Djapanese music
+David Cummings That is the point...
Dangit.. Had to delete my comment cuz I noticed your comment after posting mine..
A Voice Crying Out don't you mean 'djangit?'
+raspillade...no offence, but that joke was a fail! Gotta lift your game, if you want net cred...kno wot i mean, jelly-bean?!
No dang it doesn't have a J sound in it like djent does
This is how the Japanese used to djent in 650 B.C.
Scias B.C.E.*
B.C.
oftheborg It's B.C.E. finish elementary school and then come back.
Go left. Lol. Did you just graduate?
oftheborg From a college equivalent, yes. However that doesn't really matter.
When you want be a samurai, but want to keep your djent ways of life.
hahahaha this comment made my day
not really sure why - the comment is unoriginal and not funny
CafeNightster You just gave birth to a Djamurai
Ahh, the ancient art of Djap.
That is one sick ass custom guitar you have there
The Asians are always one step ahead and better...this was great!
Imma Dumass Thank you very much! (k1mu)
KHUFRDAMO NOTES haha no problem and I didn't mean anything bad by that comment...even though it probably sounded like it..
Imma Dumass OK! I see! No,I didn't also mean anything bad by that comment.
I told the purely thanks.
Sorry, I might not be able to understand nuances.
Because I'm not good at English.
So I think there is a case in returning a misplaced comments.
...Learning is not enough. :-
Haha Okay! Thanks for your time! keep of the great work! :D
+Adolf Hitler yeah i've never seen a guitar with wireless stuff build in before.
Oh man, how I love the mix you made of Djent-Progressive- Japanese Traditional stuff!
Make some more! I need some more!
KHUFRDAMO NOTES Kinda sounds like an epic boss battle theme...maybe from Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Sounds Awesome!
Dude my brain went right to video games.
Henri Fra. To me, it sounds like something in BlazBlue.
Hell yeah ,Blazblue for the win
I've listened to this probably over 300 times, came back and rediscovered it after a few years after moving, and... It's just as great as before 😎👌
not low enough. should have use deep sea cabel for the string and tune it as low as Justin Bieber IQ.
+Tengku Izdihar HA! Funny man.
lmao
BAHAHAHAahahahahahahahaha! Beautiful analogy. Bieber is on the low end of the IQ scale.
mantap djiwa bro wkwkwk
Tengku Izdihar if the string was as low as his IQ then... my god. The universe will shake. The gauge of string will have to be 1000000000000000000000000000000
Despite that it is neck deep in djent elements (modern prog metal elements rather) it's still instantly recognisably Japanese, making it much more interesting and fresh (for me) than the great majority of djent bands where I can hear chlicés in a returning loop. Good work guys!
Ive been telling people for over 10 Years that the videogame soundtrack to - Shinobi III : Return of the Ninja Master would make an Incredible Djent album. Most laughed at the idea. Im glad Im not the only one. This is EXACTLY what I was talking about. Fucking incredible work, Man.
I can never get tired of this song. The mysterious sounds in the background sounds like about to fight some yokai lol. Awesome stuff man!
HAHAHA! Thank you very much!
Also recently we released a new "Japanese Djent" so please listen to it too,if you want.
ruclips.net/video/eNGSdQOG57A/видео.html
The oriental instrument reminds me of Shokran haha
I like everything about this video..the way he's dressed..the guitar...the progressive and yes the djent influence..and the Japanese influence...it's awwwwl good...nice work!
japanese folk music + djent = amazing! great video really liked the melodies =)
Call it Djent, but it's just CYNIC all over except 25 years later....
great song, sounds like some dragonforce mixed with dream theater
Phenomenal! The song is amazing, the guitar is beautiful. Strandberg inspired build? Wonderful craftmanship.
RUclips recommendations never fail to make me happy
Nice job man. I'm a metal guy but I love traditional chinese/japanese music, that intro was sick. I love the visuals too, those gardens you see in movies look so peaceful, wish I could be there! Keep it up!
This sounds like progressive metal with some djenty tones in the beginning and I love it!
sounds like a metal version of a super nintendo song ! i love it!
I remember finding this song ages ago, I still revisit it here and there. I love Japanese scales, great videos by Marty Friedman of former Megadeth on those.
Good job man 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
Havent heard this in a while..one of the best songs I've ever heard..(forgot how awesome it was..wow)
I believe this genre is known as "Djentanese".
Djapanese*
DAMN RIGHT DJAPANESE!
no Djepanese
I guess you could call him the Djentsei.
Japanese songs ALWAYS have the best lead tones
This deserves more recognition. 😮
Kumogakure? Akatsuki? Is this the rumored... Naruto Metal?
And those melodies are very reminiscent to Touhou... but that's probably more because of the japanese scales used.
Either way, this kicks ass. SO much.
Keep killing it!
4:43 those turtles are ready to throw down
1:19 WTF?!
i don't know what is your source of inspiration but what ever it is keep using it.... domo arigato
This reminds me how good The Haarp Machine was
Dude, this is just too amazing!
Again steping by just to listen to this beautiful piece of japanese metal.
This actually really great!
I'm not a big djent guy, so this caught me off guard.
I enjoyed it very much.
Thank you. :3
+Asa Perez It's because this isn't really djent..like at all.
***** I don't really know what djent is. :/
Great stuff, cool guitars and....Kyoto...missing it so much ;) keeping an eye on you guys :)
awesome I'm so happy the Djent wildfire has finally spread to Japan. Love the song and looking forward to future works.
これは、とても素敵な歌ですよ!
1:10 that sounds so dream theatre-ish
Wow GJ guys awesome sound, love it! And Thanks for showing us around in the video very cool!
the Japanese Born of Osiris
Joey Thompson 4:25
Born of Sashimi
Born of Ameterasu
Born of Japanese
Nah, this is more like Japanese dream theater
More like Dream Theater instead of djent but still nice :)
I was about to comment the same thing, but I'm more glad that someone else made the connection lol
I would never imagined to find something like this XD You're great
Nice play and great keyboard melodies :)
lol for ninja appear at 1:18
Anyone who digs this should also check out Cyclamen, especially the early stuff. Not sure if this guy was influenced at all, but it kind of sounds like it :3
Great work, I really like J-Djent and can't wait to see it evolve even further
Fascinating stuff. Definitely agree with the rest of the comment section though... The low string needs to be more bassy to be djent material. Looks like you got the technique down though.
And to think I found this by accident. haha
Woah!! This sounds amazing!! The harmony is pretty cool and the guitarist is really talented!! Keep dj0nting!! \m/
Maxis Morph Thank you very much! (k1mu)
Sounds tight af. Keep it up bros \m/
very nice! :)
Great playing, tone, visuals and some japanese sounds to complete the mix / make it a bit different from the generic ones.
Greetings from germany & keep going :)
Petti Son Thank you very much!
I'm glad you enjoyed it! (k1mu)
Sounds awesome, man ! I really dig the style, it's quite unseen to associate djent and, I guess, Shamisen or Koto. Great work !
Lucas Tafini Thanks, man! I'm glad you enjoyed it! (k1mu)
I recognized almost all the places you filmed in lolol
今まさに撮影地に住んでるんでなんとも言えないおもしろい気持ちで拝見させていただきました!これからも応援してます₍₍ ᕕ(´ ω` )ᕗ⁾⁾
soaringdragon0312 Thank you very much! Oh, I see!
I think RUclips is the best thing to ever happened to heavy/virtuoso/shredding rock since Shrapnel records exposed guitar playing beyond just a backup or rhythm instrument....vocals have been out front long enough....guitars can sing too!
This is a very good tune!
Keep rocking !!
Please in the next video add the babymetal girls (joke) xD
I would call it Sushicore!
This is fuckin racist haha
What about bamboocore?
Hahaha
Respect to you my friend! What an amazing composition!
Very nice, I love the guitar and the tone. Interesting the choice of instruments and layers.
Very good, love this! Good luck for the future! ありがとうごさいます
Ruben Tura
Thank you very much! That's very kind of you to say!
こちらこそありがとうございます! (k1mu)
Probably what Dream Theater would sound like if it was made entirely of John Myungs
I'm probably going to upload a cover from this song this week
Japanese style « anime » instrumental metal is one hell of a motivating genre.
This is amazing!!!
at 3:00 or so it gets a litlle Meshuggah-ee for a second lol
Really nice work guys. To me, definitely made me think of Dream Theater, and that's high praise. Keep it up.
I'm working on Japanese scales and progressions on my seven string. You make it look so easy. Respects.
Quite interesting, great work! Also love the guitar got a nice rough/used look ;)
Jack Shang Thank you very much! (k1mu)
hey there, Love the song! I also love the way you mixed the traditional Japanese sound with progressive metal. I do however think it could be a little bit more "djenty". Overall great song and keep up the great work!
handicapitation Thank you very much!
I see.
Actually, I was thinking the same thing. LOL (k1mu)
Man... this is beautiful. ¡The next Shinobi game must have this tune!
This sounds awesome!!! Want more stuff like that!!!
Greets from Austria
REMT144 Thank you! That's very kind of you to say! Please wait… (k1mu)
This was good, especially some of the passages at the end.
Nice progressive metal :)
Such a sweet outtro!!
not so djent, straight up progressive metal but still so damn good. this is amazing!
The name of the song is "Village Hidden by Clouds" I think this is a reference to the hidden cloud village in Naruto since it is also a Manga
This is really fun. Thank you.
To me, it is not djent but an awesome prog metal reminiscing of Derek Sherinian solo albums. Thumbs up and rock on!
Very awesome bro :) but I think that sound like Prog Metal than Djent
Djent us technically a subgenre of prog.
This is more like progressive metal
marco luque Thank you for comments! I see. Certainly, This song contains elements of progressive metal. (k1mu)
Your welcome dude i really like your song you have a great tallent .. oh another question , what guitar is that?
marco luque Thank you dude! yes, That guitar is original guitar.
It was built by my friend Nike.(He is wearing a black kimono in this video.)
He said that was "Inspired by guitar of Strandberg Guitarworks and Skervesen Guitars". (k1mu)
+The Utgardiangamer He's (probably) referring to progressive metal such as Persefone or some of Haken's heavier stuff. And no, not most djent bands are very progressive, especially because a lot of them sound so similar. However, the select few "kings" of djent, such as Tesseract or The Contortionist, definitely deserve to be called progressive. But stuff like Periphery, Vildjharta, etc. doesn't even come close to approaching the prog world of Steven Wilson, Dream Theater, Opeth, David Maxim Micic, Pink Floyd, etc. This is just my opinion though. None of this is factual in nature.
+marco luque What if I told you that... Djent is a progressive sub genre?
Nice piece of art... sounds like progrock.... Great looking guitar!!!
Brutus plays guitar
Thank you for watching! That's very kind of you to say.
that was really good, love the location
***** Thank you for watching!
This location is around the Kyoto station!
(Toji , Fushimi Inari-taisha and Kamo River, etc.,)
Recommended to visit! :)
(k1mu)
KHUFRDAMO NOTES id love to visit, but too f**ng expensive buddy ;)
besides all the hate this is actually a really cool idea that i think should have been expanded on
amazing keep killing it bro
Pretty nice song!! This just gave me ideas to improve a song I'm making, it's a similar idea to your song, but mine is 'Hebrew-Arabic Djent'. Keed Dj0010010nting mate!!
Ximon Trespalacios
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Oh! I’m interested in your'Hebrew-Arabic Djent'!! (k1mu)
when like 90% of the song track is MIDI synths and drums and weeb users say it's better guitar work than any American band
KHUFRDAMO NOTES Love the phrygian mode incorporation.
***** Thank you very much! That's very kind of you to say!
You're right. resemble phrygian mode.
But Not exactly…
I thought that using 陰音階(=INNONKAI(Japanese mode scale))in this song.
陰音階 is C,C♯,F,G,(G♯),A♯ (in keyC).
This scale's point is don't use both "major 3rd" and "minor 3rd" in scale . (k1mu)
I enjoyed the music so much sir. Reminds me so much of Dreamtheater! Awesome!
very unique, great work! Thank you for sharing your talent
mike boxler Thank you! That's very kind of you to say! (k1mu)
そのギターは木造なように見えてカッコイイ!
あの伝統的な笛の音も似あうよ!
looking at your skervesen makes me want one even more. love the shoggie style.
The solo part sounds like something you would hear on a Guilty Gear OST. Nice.
Very cool song, looking forward for more!
Ninja + Djent = Nindjent.
Samurai + Djent = Samudjent
Djent + Katana = Djetana.
wine+music=Djenmany :)
A sub-genre of Djent.
Rohit Jha you are a djentleman and a scholar
Rohit Jha I'm a samunindjent
You + what you commented = sad.
Great work! love it
That outro is going to be stuck in my head forever.
Just a little side question.
Is it actually common in Japan to wear a Kimono?
I figured they were simmilar to european traditional clothes, that you only wear them for some sort of traditional stuff, but wearing them in public is considered wierd?
Kimonos are mostly worn by geisha and are more formal,as I'm told by one of my pals in Japan. Yukatas, the more casual clothing back then, is often worn today during festivals and stuff like that.
Hope I helped
In ancient times the epic guitar player slayed everything he encountered proceeding northward through villages of forests full of the unknown.
this is amazing!!! great work!!!!
Mar Kabasi Thank you very much! (k1mu)
