I'm surprised you didn't put in BanG Dream! considering there are a lot of bands thus bassists in the anime! but thanks for making this video!! love your short cover of the Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet!!
For those curious, the drunken bassist in Bocchi The Rock is a reference of Hiroi Margaret, the bassist of "88Kasyo Junrei", a Psychodelic Rock band from Japan.
I love Ryo and also with the performances and music playing they closely referenced actual base players. The attention to detail in Bocchi The Rock is amazing and I love the show with all my heart.
pretty neat how they are using real guitars instead of just generic representations. That 6 string looks very much like my buddy's Kent Armstrong. great piece.
I think you forgot 1 anime Davie. In "Sakamichi No Apollon" or "Kids on the Slope", there is also a bassist. He is Mukae Tsutomu, the father of Mukae Ritsuko (main heroin), and the leader of The Mukae Tsutomu Quartet. He plays the double bass and I think he is very good especially if you like jazz music
In an episode of the anime they go to a music shop to buy an MXR overdrive pedal, and mention guitar brands and stuff. Given is pretty heavy on gear accuracy and music in general. I believe they've even had multiple Arctic Monkeys references thrown in there.

I feel attacked at the missed oportunity to hear Fuuka's bassist, and Fuuka's gorgeous voice~
Ok but the bassline in K-ON! songs like Samidare 20 love is actually pretty good, and when I saw the original thumbnail (which included Mio) I expected an actual review on Houkago Tea Time's (or Mio's) basslines lol
You did Beck Mongolian Chop Squad dirty. No slap for you.
I was looking for this comment. Who ever feed him the 30 second anime clip, ignored all of Taira's (bass player) other sick moments. So sad.
Mio calls her bass Elizabeth, because it's a pun on the Japanese pronunciation. It's pronounced as Eriza-BASS
3:37 Absolutely *EPIC* moment
I slap LIKE 👍
6:58 This scene was ultimate epic for me when i was kid, so i wanted to play bass. I went a local music school, but my teacher said that: no way, you need to learn first on classical guitar because the basics.
In the end, i wasn't worthy the bass energy thus My parents bought an electric stratocaster six string guitar(the algorithm prefer the badass solo guitarist, not the bassist :dd).
It was good memory for me, thank you :dd!!

sirens in the distant started just as they began 2:58 and thought it was part of the anime like "damn this sounds awesome with sirens"
David, your bass playing was so epic, it made me actually think of watching anime….as long as there is a bass involved
You'd love Bocchi The Rock, it's probably the most relatable to musicians with heavy attention and detail to the way they play the instruments and imo has the best songs
5:40 Pretty cool name, It will be my child name in the future as a fan of Davie and inspiration.
Huge shame you missed the drunk bass player, there is a stree performance scene and another where Bocchi goes to see her acid rock band live, both were pretty amazing.
@Davie504 no one noticed that you swapped bases in 4:11 😅
I DID!!!
0:48 checkmate
I love Ryo and also with the performances and music playing they closely referenced actual base players. The attention to detail in Bocchi The Rock is amazing and I love the show with all my heart.
pretty neat how they are using real guitars instead of just generic representations. That 6 string looks very much like my buddy's Kent Armstrong. great piece.
i'd never expect davie to slap that hard on " guitar, loneliness and blue planet "
Thank you so much for doing this!! Al always enjoy watching your videos =) for me the best bassist is haruki from Given

These anime bassists are far from Davie's level
How could I obtain this such power?
Davie bASS level
Except for Tolkien maybe. He’s a natural after all.
@@conaldeugenepeterson2147 Last I checked, South Park wasn’t an anime.
@@diomar64 if the Simpsons is anime south park is too
We’re blessed. David just bocchi the rocked my freaking socks off. Gets me so emotional. This video gets 504 slaps out of 10. EPIC.
Calling Haruko Haruhara (7:29) a "He" is a bold move. I salute you. It could result in to orbit level epic slap!
5:35 エリザベスに対抗してて面白い
「あのバンド」のベースとんでもなく上手いですね!!
6:02 ever notice how the gear is so accurate in this scene? There is an Ampeg bass amp, Marshall Guitar amp, Jazz Bass, and Tele Deluxe
In an episode of the anime they go to a music shop to buy an MXR overdrive pedal, and mention guitar brands and stuff. Given is pretty heavy on gear accuracy and music in general. I believe they've even had multiple Arctic Monkeys references thrown in there.
@@omerion385 cool
what is the name of this anime?
@@1andGGiven
Davie is the kind of person who would play at a gender reveal party and the gender is revealed he just takes out either his pink or blue bass and plays a song
Edit: I don't do that weird shit but I would find it funny if I saw a video of it
Ew no he rejects gender reveal parties as does the rest of the world
That is the weirdest anology every
american moment

From the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, the bassline for God Knows was pretty good!
