Most women don't. I was 'forced' to give up most of mine to spend time with my ex watching the most idiot shows on television. Things went south when I was tired of the tripe on television and started finding my hobbies again.
Yeah, I've noticed that also. It's like they don't want you to have any either. Anything that takes money or time away from her is a big no no. They want everything to be about them.
Most women play games with men, that's their hobby.
I once lived with a Chinese-American woman who one day demanded I go to the office of her insureance agent to get a quote on my car. I told her I would go the next day and bring my car with me as we were in her car at the moment. She said I must go right at that moment, or the relationship is over. Now, she had previously told me that she routinely used ultimatums to control both of her ex-husbands, and I told her at that time, this tactic does not work on me. So, given the ultimatum to either do as she says or lose the relationship, I told her she gave me no real choice and I will leave. As soon as we arrved back at her house, I packed my things and called my brother to come and pick me up. Her reaction to this was to say "I can't believe you would throw away our relationship on such a small thing." I didn't even try to point out that she was the one who set up the situation to throw our relationship away on a small thing because I knew she was too unconscious and too stupid to see it. I just left and never looked back - a true red-pill moment.

Nearly all women will use an ultimatum at some point, all you have to do is show her that you won't let her use them. Choose the option she doesn't want you to choose and then see how she reacts. If it's one of those "do this or we're done" say that I won't do what you want and if you want to end it thats your decision. Nearly every single woman will see that you are the one in control of the situation and will realize that ultimatums have no effect. I made the mistake of being a bitch and going along with the ultimatums in my first couple relationships, never again.

The answer to an ultimatum is “no”. It’s always “no”, it has to be. If she finds out she can threaten you and get her way, you are done. You are toast! So it’s pretty simple, ultimatum equals “no”.

What about when the one issuing an ultimatum actually has a valid point or bargaining chip(s) that are extremely valuable to recipient of the ultimatum? Also, realize that it isn't necessarily the woman that is the one being unreasonable.
I warn women about ultimatums. Force me to choose between something and you, and I will choose the former each and every time. One learned the hard way: She told me that either I sell my swords or she couldn't be with me any more. She was hardly done making the ultimatum when I chose the swords without even thinking. Told her that, unlike my swords, I don't keep cold hard women. And no, she didn't get a redo. Ultimatums are the ultimate show of disrespect and manipulation and I know I deserve better.

Once had a girl tell me that I had to get rid of my new camaro and get an SUV. I did not like SUVs at the time (still don't). Her reason was so she can take her friends to the mall and go shopping. My vehicle, that she will not pay for gas, insurance or anything to maintain it. I said no, I got the car I wanted because that is what I like. Her response, me or the car. Not even hesitating, I replied, there's the door. Did not even look away from my computer. I have not seen her since.

So tired of seeing blue-pilled car guys sell their passion cars because their wives/girlfriends coerced them to get something more family-oriented, cheaper in maintenance or easier to drive for them (i.e. automatic instead of manual). What a pathetic sight, honestly. I've been given an ultimatum by my wife before. She said I had to either choose her or staying on Active Duty in the Navy. I told her on the spot "A man's got to have a job. A wife is completely optional." She understood her role in the relationship instantly and my priorities. She quit pushing on me to leave the Navy shortly after. I retired about 10 years later...still married to the same woman. They can be taught, you just have to be firm and stand your ground when the shit is important to you.

Hey i had a girlfriend do the exact same thing to me when i was in the Australian Navy. I had just finished up training, started going to sea for the first time, had been in barely 2 years and she started pulling the whole "i don't like you being away so much" crap. She knew i was a sailor when we started dating and what was ahead. Eventually i came back from a 3 week exercise at sea to a text message "I hate this, you have to choose, it's either you're with me, or you're in the Navy". Easy choice seeing as i had over 4 years left on my contract. Sent a short but sweet "Ok see you later, good luck" text back. Went away a week later for 2 months and was swamped with emails every day from her apologizing and saying she didn't mean it etc. Ignored it all, and enjoyed my time with my buddies overseas and got hammered. Best and easiest choice i ever made

Should you receive an ultimatum, the best thing you can do is recognize that the relationship is finished and move on.
That's why it's important to date women that actually have their own interests and hobbies, and vice versa.
When she said, "Do you have any plans for tonight" - If you know how to READ between the line. She wanted to hang out. Or do stuff together. By refusing, it mean your pioriry of interest is above her. She could also take it as, you dont love her asmuch or your likeness for her is bellow your current interest.
The following up statement where she said, "i guess we're done here" - It mean this is not a 1 time occasion, but somewhat a recurrence issue. And she got tired of it.
The way the rest of the conversation is going. The guy seem like he isnt even interested in keeping the relationship, didnt even ask for a middle ground.

The problem is here that we all lack context. If it was his first time rejecting her and she pulled this, it would be clearly her fault completely.
I see how she could react that way if he routinely rejects her and they spend less time together than is reasonable for a relationship, in which case her reaction to send an ultimatum and then end it would make sense.
That behaviour is childish. Basically, if you dont have anything "of physical value" to gain from the encounter; The other person isnt worth your time?
There are times you need to take a hint. A women's feeling can be sensitive; Putting in some care would go a long way for a stable relationship. The case above, you can tell the girl mean nothing to that boy, he goes to no length to perserve the relationship. Which imply it was a very shallow bond.

I have an example to share... (for context, I'm a biker that rides as a full patch member of 2 Veteran motorcycle associations) I had a girlfriend several years ago ask me, in a serious manner: "What if I said it was me or the motorcycle?"... to which I calmly responded while looking her square in the eyes: "You shouldn't ask questions that you wouldn't like the answers to."... It was a bit humorous to see how quickly she started to back-pedal. She ended up asking to join me on some rides and loved it. The relationship lasted another 7-8 months before it wound up circling the drain and I walked away. Ah well, no skin off my nose, its a matter of choosing your battles and standing your ground when necessary.

Opened my mind up a bunch! This reminded me of my first gf, back when I was 21. She got pissed at me for going to a party without her. Reason I went: I invited her to go with me, but she didn’t want to because it was raining outside. Ultimatum: If we're still seeing each other in a years time we MUST get married - that was one of her 'rules'. I just said that's not one of my rules. She made a scene in the restaurant - I dropped her off home and said I didn't think it is working. More hysterics. She also had major honesty issues which bugged me and I always called her out on it.
A week later I saw her waiting outside my home. She had taken a 2-hour bus ride to see me ( she was unable to drive because of a medical condition) - carrying her overnight bag. I remarked how surprised I was to see her. She acted all sheepish and embarrassed. I made her a cup of tea (I'm English) and put her back on the bus home. I received a leather Mont Blanc document case in the post - together with a very long letter. I tore up the letter without reading, sent a thank you card for the present and requested she not contact me again. I received another three letters. I disposed of all of them without opening. I still use the document case. NEVER EVER, EVER succumb to ultimatums.

Ultimatums and shaming don't work and only show a tremendous lack of respect. My husband had a life before meeting me which included playing video games (and cars and motorcycles) and his free time is his to do with what he wants, I can't imagine expecting him to change anything that makes him happy.
This is how I feel. The only thing I don't like is when there is no communication. Like are we doing something tonight or not? I just need to know what's going on and then I'm good. But it's not fun to guess what the other person wants.

As much as I like playing video games. Showing respect to my significant lady, I would occasionally go out on shopping and dating with her.
Just so you know, sometimes guys just float along existing. Sometimes we don't have anything planned and just noodle along. If you want to go do something just tell him, if he hesitates then ask him what he wants to do, probably wants to do nothing and doesn't want to piss you off.
Also, we don't communicate when we have nothing to say, very hard for women to understand that at times, it is a form of communication women just don't quite get that.

Well, it gives you time to rebuild your resources, to learn more about female nature. Mgtow is freedom but in rare cases it does not have to be forever. Once you go go mgtow as I did a first date is a laughable excuse for listing your equity.

Funny. Relationships are all about power. It's never even ... one side always has more than the other and the dynamic can change over time. My mother started out lower in power and gave my father the ultimatum of "Marry me or I'm leaving". He acquiesced, and once a ring was on her finger they spent the next four decades with her now wearing the pants and my father meekly in tow. It wasn't a pretty sight.

I remember long ago when I played Rpg's. I had a girlfriend that didn't understand it, I invited her to play. She fell in love with it. She prejudged it and then completely changed her mind. She got to hangout with me and friends and became addicted to roleplaying games. Lol. We're still friends decades later. My current girlfriend was a little uncomfortable with my firearms and hunting. She is half my age and had no experience with them, so I took her shooting. She totally loves it. Sometimes, just including them if you can helps. If they can't enjoy it, then they don't have to, but you don't have to stop doing what you love. Though some things can cause problems. Responsibilities come first.
Look up the term "Progressive Entrapment ". It is heralded as the major red-flag of an abusive relationship in the making. I would love to see you do a video on it!
The first ultimatum I received was from a GF that wanted me to come get her a lot earlier for our date than we planned. I was in the process of putting a new transmission in my car so that we could go out later that night. When she called I was in the process of jacking the new transmission into place, about an hour before I would finish up then another to wash up and get the dirt out of my finger nails.
“Come get me now or we are through!”
“I can’t the cat is up on jacks and I’m halfway done.”
“Really! Forget it and forget us!”
An hour later I was done, an hour and a half I was chic, shaved and polished ready for a night out. As I was heading out the door she called back, apologizing and asking if we could go out tonight.
Did you just let her get away with all that only only do a word apology? That level of disrespect is a deal breaker! What did you say to her question, "if we could go out tonight?" You should have just went out with friends and found someone less flaky!
I went out with her that night after scolding her and receiving an apology. Though instead of the movie and nice restaurant I had planned, we met my friends at our local hangout and played pool till about midnight then came home and she finished apologizing. We dated for 2 more years. She never tried that again,
In the end did you get bored of her crap and break up? Or did she break up with you? How did that all play out? Seems like when you called her on the crap you had the power. This is why nice guys get walked all over and discarded.
Charles Granata it had run its course. I wasn’t going to marry her she didn’t want to marry me, we had were at that point that we were friends having casual sex. It was over, we buried the body and moved on.

As well, and few men will admit this, your just to lazy to move on given the time energy and money it takes to find a new source of easy regular sex. Pure laziness on my part.

In every relationship that I genuinely cared for a woman, her ultimatums were important. I cared too much. However, when I finally realized female nature, I stopped living the fantasy of "the one". I just realized every relationship is going to end. Just have fun and don't take it too serious. Because I stopped giving a shit... well... the majority of the time I broke up with them over their childish and stupid shit.

My partner used to give ultimatums when I would try to get away from her to go study. I would say I'll be back in 4-5 hours and she would start texting and calling me within 30 mins for all kinds of things. She literally wouldn't stop texting until I dropped everything and returned, or until we had an argument about it. Either way, she had achieved her objective.

Come on man! First of all, she asked him if he had plans, which means he had no prior commitment scheduled with her. Therefore he is free to do what he wants with his evening. She asked, and He straight up said honestly "YUP!" He has plans... So therefore he already has things set in mind and priority for the evening. She got upset because she wanted him to drop whatever he was doing/ had planned so she wouldn't be spending the time alone. She went about it all wrong. She could have said, I have nothing planned wanna hang out? and then it would have let the guy know that she will be by herself and maybe would like his company, but again the guy at that moment would have told her he had plans, or if he felt like it he would have said, well lets hang out, but since he had already made plans ahead of time, and his mind was made up in having relaxing bro bonding time he should be free to do so. He was being upfront, and honest. He didn't do anything wrong. If she had no plans like I am guessing, then she can easily say can I join or at least watch him play for a bit, and maybe hang out after wards. Just because it doesn't interest her doesn't mean she has to talk crap about his pass-times.
To the women who have a hard time understanding why your man games a lot. That is how he socializes! We are constantly on FB, and other platforms, we go shopping with your friends, we go everywhere with a tag along girlfriend, and that is all fine and dandy, but men don't do that. They don't need a go pee buddy, or anything of that sort. They work and come home and have time with the bros only when there is a bbq or reason for a get together, but since there is nothing going on, and his friends like to congregate via gaming console let him! What do you want him to do? Let him be a man in his element of comfort. Some guys go to the bars and hang out there, that is not necessarily my cup of tea, but each person has their own thing they do of interest. He is vegging out. Relaxing, and keeping himself amused by the jokes the guys say. Have you seen how much fun he actually has hanging out with the bros? That is a hangout place just like going to any other place. He is being a dude, hanging with dudes talking to dudes who accept him for his interests and want him to be part of the team. Would you want your man to say...

We were together from me being 18-20. didn't live together. I don't remember what the ultimatum was but the relationship ended right after she made it.

What we also lack here is context: Is him rejecting her an exception or the regular behavior?
If he constantly rejects her and spends less time with her than is reasonable (subjective from person to person) for a relationship, then her sour reaction to it could be justified.
If he normally values her a lot, shows her that and just occasionally needs his "me" time, it could be that the interpretation in the video is correct and she overreacted or just shittested him.
It could also be that the base of the conflict is simply a too big disparity in expectations. There are men and women who want to spend every other day or maybe even every day with their partner and at the opposite end of the spectrum you find men and women who view relationships as weekend or even monthly meet-up.
If the discrepancy about this is too great, the relationship cannot work and it makes sense for them to separate anyway.

Well, one thing to think about for having this as a text 'conversation.' If she went full vengeful and tried to cause havoc with him, he at least has documentation of at least one conversation w/ her. Have sadly seen a lot of videos where women have tried to get their BF or husband in legal trouble. Luckily the guy was smart enough to screen capture or record the woman faking an 'assault'. One video explained the woman called 9-1-1 and claimed her BF was assaulting her. Screaming and saying: stop hitting me, etc. The guy was across a room or something, but he was smart enough to have pulled out his phone and recorded her. When the police came to arrest him for domestic abuse, he was ready and had them watch the video of her performance. She, was actually arrested. When a woman issues an ultimatum to me, I call her bluff and walk away. Ultimatums are rarely, if ever, given out of love and usually, if not always, done to manipulate others. A woman who wants to manipulate you doesn't actually love you. She may think that she does actually love you and even believe it, but that does not make it so. Far too many people demand to be accepted for who they are and then demand that you become what they find acceptable. It's completely acceptable for you to refuse to acquiesce to someone else's world view. Both of my friends who were given an ultimatum to manipulate immediate marriage ultimately divorced miserably. I've never seen that work and make people happy.

In my last relationship which lasted a bit over a year (the longest one I had) my ex didn't really liked my weed smoking habits. I wasn't a pothead or anything, I used to smoke a blunt once or twice a week, at stressful periods I would reward myself with a J at the end of the day after being done with my shit; a regular well functioning college student. At some point into the relationship the idea of moving in together came up, so after a couple of months she dropped an ultimatum: it's her or the weed. Realizing I can't convince her otherwise (pharmacy student, she thinks she knows everything because her pharma-corporate funded pharma department told her that weed is the devils lettuce) I did what any other rational yet in-love person would do. I lied through my teeth and told her I'm stopping for her. Cross the bridge when we get there, right? This was the first red flag, but I foolishly decided to overlook it. After a couple of months a conversation came up on "how much are we going to earn straight out of college". She was surprised that she, based on one source I half assed checked, will make more than me. She was so shocked that she actually took my phone and started looking at other IT related positions that have a higher averaged salary, eventually asking me "will it be hard for you to transition into that". Second red flag. Needless to say we broke up after I told her I'm not willing to change my life for a girl I've been dating for a bit more than a year. I asked for a break, she felt like I was running away and broke up with me. It's all about power when you boil it down, and I'd be dammed if I let some girl have power over me like that. Despite the pain i say good riddance.

my buddies crazy ex did the same shit to him and it led to their breakup. She said "What if I let you play all the games you want for a month..than you let it go? He said it was the words "I let you" that led to him leaving her. At the time he was putting himself through college and working full-time he didn't drink or chase girls so bars were not his scene so video games were his relatively inexpensive way to relax. She just saw low status so she tried to change him. Its disgusting how weak men allow women to shame them into giving up things they love because it's not "what ADULTS should like." It all boils down to they think men should just work and make money for them. Imagine if men tried to shame women into giving up anything...we would be BOMBARDED with ridiculous commercials during the Super-Bowl about how violence isn't just physical.
Had woman try to play me once, dated her for a short time, let her stay over for a few days. She would spend time chatting online but would never allow me near the PC while she was on it. I was like, fine, first big red flag. While she would be up over my shoulder while I was logged in, always asking who is that, to the people I was chatting with. There are things I dont deal with, the big three being lies, hypocrisy and stupidity. Those three are pretty much immediate deal breakers. Of course eventually she tried the my way or the highway approach by saying if I didnt stop talking to "those people", she was going to leave. I didnt even look in her direction, I just pointed and said "There's the door". She left but eventually came back, since she needed a ride, so my cousin drove her home. Needless to say, I never saw her again after that.

Three years ago my wife quoted "Last year I was thinking of leaving you". We have been married 33 years, at that point I pondered on the fact that she pushed for the marriage in the first place so what was the point. Three months later she wanted to sell the house which we built together and had been living in for ten years. I am into computers and the audio visual thing, having a 7.1 surround sound system installed at the time of building the house. The house is also networked throughout so I would be throwing a lot away as the cost of wiring and installation was in excess of $6000. So I agreed to the sale of the house but included the fact that we would be going our separate ways after the sale. She never mentioned it again. The stupidity of it is that we would be paying the same on rent of another home as we were paying off our mortgage. Stupid female logic? I can't even call it logic.

That is SO VERY TRUE that "Ultimatums ARE a declaration of powerlessness" and THANK YOU to my second wife for teaching me that VERY VALUABLE LESSON IN LIFE!!! I was with my second wife for 17 years, 14 of which I was married to her!! And at first I had the logic of either "do unto others as they do unto you" so when she would give me an ultimatum, I would do the same to her!! BUT I often learned that my ultimatums meant nothing!! But hers would always stick as though it was written in stone!! Then one day I had, had enough of her ultimatums and on this day I wanted to go to a car show and SHE DEMANDED that I go shopping with her instead!! So to test her ultimatum and her idle threat, I got up wicked early that morning got showered and dressed, and just as she climbed out of bed I told her "I am going to the car show and I will be back" and left, before she had a chance to argue with me about it!! Now mind you I was used to being up at 6 A.M. and she most weekend days, she wouldn't drag herself out of bed until 10 A.M. or even noon, so by the time she was getting up, I could just grab my car keys and go!!! And really I was doing EXACTLY WHAT SHE WOULD DO TO ME, because she would often just grab the car keys and start to leave BUT THEN STAND THERE FOR AN HOUR arguing with me about how I have to go with her, and I side stepped that part with her!!! When I returned home later that day she was sitting in her car still NOT dressed and still not showered!! And she said to me "I hope you are proud of yourself" and I told her I was!! She had done nothing she promised in her ultimatum which was that she was going to leave and never come back!! And I even pointed out to her that I was going to do EXACTLY WHAT SHE DID, only I was going to do the things I wanted to do without consulting her like she pulled on me ALL THE TIME literally!! In fact one of the hardest things about being with her, was the fact that if she wanted to do something I literally had to drop everything I wanted to do to go do things that she wanted to do and ONLY HER THINGS were some how "important"!!! It was SO BAD in our house and to give an example of this we had FOUR TVS in our house and if she was watching a show in the living room like "Friends" and I wanted to watch a drag race on the TV in our bedroom, she would leave the TV on in the living room, get up and come in and change the channel in the bedroom to her show even if I was in the middle of watching a good race!! And I wish I could be lying about this, but I am NOT MAKING THIS UP, she WOULD change the channel to her show EVEN THOUGH she had the show on, on a different TV elsewhere in the house and even though it wasn't what I wanted to watch, she THOUGHT I was supposed to watch ONLY HER SHOWS!!! And to drive this point home further the cable was in my name, so I wasn't even allowed to watch the shows I wanted to watch!!! In the end I had the cable shut off and she only bitched more because she couldn't watch her shows anymore!! Then she complained to my grandmother that I was being a dick!!! So in the end again she gave me more ultimatums constantly and to what end!! When her and I finally split up, she had the balls to ask me "are we friends?" and my only answer to her was "I don't even know who you are anymore, and NO you are NOT my friend!"

In my experience, men can benefit from more concise communication with women. I play Magic the Gathering twice a week, and my lady friend started going down the "its me or the game" pathway, and I drew a clear line in the sand. She has subtly revisited the issue with "you play it twice a week. You can take a week off and spend time with me." I responded with building a Magic deck for her and said, "If you want to spend time with me on those nights, here is a deck you can play. It would be a lot of fun to have you there. We start at 6:00pm"

The next day, over lunch, I told her I was fine the way I was and I was choosing the latter option, thanks. Without hesitation, she then blurted out, "Oh, good! Now I can start dating again!"
Wow. I said, "Later, tater" and that was that for that relationship. It was a relief to be rid of her. No regrets!
Post-note: in a later conversation (we were stationed on the same navy base so I would occasionally run into her from time to time), she actually had the nerve to tell me that I had hurt her when I broke up with her. Riiiiiiiight. Fucking princess.

Just ended a relationship over an ultimatum. Told her from the beginning that I wanted to take things super slow. Eventually, after two years tells me I should know by now if I want to marry her and she will give me until such and such a time to make up my mind. Told her I don't like ultimatums and with that attitude I won't want to marry you. She said she was done. I've been through worse breakups, im 36, so I've have experience with this bullshit. Damn something similar happened to me recently. Her plan was move in together, get married and have 3 kids. I’m not going to lie at first I was thinking about it, but once she wanted me to give her a deadline I couldn’t do it. She met someone else so hopefully she’s happy. I just didn’t feel it was fair to be given an ultimatum. Was about 3 years off and on.
