Thanks for posting this video! Does the automatic behave diverent now that the car got more horspower/torque. Lets say if you drive 130km/h, will it still shift back 2 to 3 gears when you try to gain some speed? Thats the thing about the 1.6 turbo with autobox i really don't like.
The automatic behaves really well. Depends on driving-mode. In sport-mode it will definitely shift back. But now it actually has a lot of power beyond 4000 RPM, so it's not a problem anymore. Stock dies quickly after 4000 RPM. Now its increasing all the way to around 6500, where the automatic will change gear :)
I have two more questions. Why didn't you go for the BR-Performance upgrade which you mentioned on Bimmerpost before. The other guy from Bimmerpost said that his 114i (with BR-performance upgrade) went form 0-100kmh in 6.13sec. Your car is 1.5 seconds slower. Do you got any explanation for this? His car got 230hp on dyno so yours only 15bhp down on that!
hey dude , I want to make my 118i power up , Can you tell me how did you make your car up to 215 hp , I just call Autowerk they said 118i can only have 30+hp for Mcchip drk , thanks you (I'm also in BKK,Thailand) 0-100 in 7 - 8 sec is really looking good for Automatic I hope I can make same as you , thanks you

I am currently using 316i F30, and very interested to upgrade mine. What was the cost of remapping to your stage (I am also in Bkk)? Was the speed limiter removed? if so, What is the new top speed? ** I am a bit concerned about the safety of its ecu, engine and gearbox as it is more than 60% power gain. So How are those issues running in long term uses. thank you.
Top speed limiter is removed. 250kmph+ is possible. The maximum torque is within the gearbox limit, and I have never experienced any gearbox judder. Any tune can potentially lead to more wear and tear, but under normal circumstances, you would never push the car to its limits more than a few minutes or even seconds.
I have the same model, even on 250 HP with intercooler and exhaust changed still no problem with the gearbox. The max torgue is 250NM but the gearbox is strong, keeps easy 450 Nm based on the manufacture. The turbo is strong as well, only some small issue on the wastgate but nothing that is affecting the engine. The only difference is the extra oil cooler that 318I have. I'm considering the tuning too. The only things thats holds me back is the factory warranty of 1 year and 1 month that will drop after tuning

BR is not available in Bangkok - mcchipDKR is..
I think I could get a much better 0-100 under better conditions. I will try again later :)

I read if you remap the ecu when you service your car they will reset the ecu.
and which petrol are you using?
Yes, that can happen. They give a warranty for 5 years, so they will remap again if this happen. I use 95 (benzine or gasohol)

Do you have the 118i LCI (2015+)? Different engine...
