I'm 4 mos. post-op from a posterior total hip, and I would have liked seeing in this video more than just the patient's walk without a limp. How was his flexibility? His strength? Had he dropped all his restrictions or kept some? Could he ride a bike? swim? get down in the floor and get back up again? I know we are not all alike, but the purpose of this video was to let other patients know what to expect, and more info would have been helpful. I hope the patient enjoys many more trips to Greece!

I still limp 4 months after surgery.
1 used walker for a month and then cane for 1 and a half months.
Some movements and positions still hurt.
In the morning I face some difficulty starting walking.

No pain is just hard to believe. I can see minimal pain or a high threshold to pain but no pain? I just had my right hip replaced and there is pain. It's getting better but it's there. Glad the patient is doing well either way.

I had R. hip replacement June 28/2022 And it was very very painful. Lateral surgery. I qas in the hospital for 3 nights. On the 4th day, I had therapy 2 times. So I wasn't released untill the evening. When I got home, I have 18 steps to come up to my bedroom. I wanted to pass out ! Let alone getting up the steps to my house. 7 steps. I was on my walker for a little over a month. Now my Caine, for about a little over a week. Going in to 2 weeks soon. I had 27 staples in my hip. And they don't numb you when they take them out. Dreadful !
This has been a process. I have watched many videos, on people saying ,on the walker for 3 days. Didn't use a Caine!! ???
Everybody seems to have had a speedy recovery. All but me 🤔🤔 I do wish the patient well . Don't wish pain on anyone. Maybe its just me.

Was this an anterior or posterior THR? Thank you.
