Yep, 1985, my birth year. So while I was a 90s kid in terms of culturization, I still love a lot of 80s things because some of my first solid memories were of 80s trends right before the 90s really got going strong. Honestly I think the 80s give me the most faux-nostalgia overall, because even though I don't have much, if any working memory of the 80s, I still really really liked the media that carried over into syndication and cable, so I ended up being something of an 'echo 80s kid'.

Joe R M hacksaw Jim duggan and iron sheik and they had I believe weed on them and was arrested. It was a major deal because Hacksaw was a “babyface” ( good guy) and Shiek was a “heel” (bad guy) and it was unheard of to have them travel together especially since on tv they were in a feud lol so it kinda peeled the veil back to show wrestling was a staged show (shocker lol)

Any year in the mid 40's were really bad too, but I see what you mean.
I love this entire Timeline series you guys are doing! Great content, keep it coming!
This is one of the greatest features that this channel (one of my favorite RUclips channels) has made. I can't wait to see more of the Timeline series! Been waiting for this one!
I grew up in the 80s best time ever, the only thing I found weird was that HARVARD UNIVERSITY taught a class on the RUBIK CUBE
... easiest class ever, just move the stickers lmfao
@@ja18000 LOL, I popped mine apart and snapped it back together. 😁
And they had a whole cartoon about the Rubik Cube, called Rubix, or something like that.
Nevermind, it was called Rubik, the Amazing Cube. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rubik,_the_Amazing_Cube
@@mentor397 I never heard of this until now, thank you,
The "yeah" regarding the huggies commercial literally read my mind as I was flabbergasted hearing about the craziness of the complaint lol.
At 43 years old I own Thunder Cats and Jem on DVD! *THEY* were a true part of my childhood 🥰
Lol 46, nerd 🤓 🤣
I'm 39 I have those DVDs too along with Transformers
I really enjoy these Timeline videos. You do such a good job 👍
i love these videos i just wish you went from 70's through the 90's
LOVE this series! Talk about a walk down memory lane...83 - 86 were 3 of the best years of my LIFE, when I was a sophmore, junior, and senior in highschool. Nope, I'm not a "jock", pining for the long, lost glory days. I was in a rock band and livin' large! D&D, girls, and guitars was my life (and I was still valedictorian). Now, I'm in a rock band again, and still having fun...though I go to bed a hell of a lot earlier these days! Bwaaaa, haa, haaa!
So many hands, although with many gaps, across America. I definitely remember that.
Yeah, I remember hands across America. I lived a couple of blocks away where it was suppose to connect so, I figured why not do it. A lot of gaps.
I remember handing out flyers for that.
I did it in DC. My conservative family thought I was nuts. No gaps near us and I wondered for a long time if it truly was across the country.
I love Weird History documentaries.
12:47 The true highlight of the 80’s
🎸🎸🎸🎸
This is the only year i want to search in few days.. but i didnt recognize that yesterday you released it.. by the way thanks for the timeline.. 😍
There's gotta be more than a few weird stories about the early WWF...
Hulk Hogan is the only wrestler to pick up and body slam André the Giant.
@@theannoyedmrfloyd3998 Kamala (RIP) did it too... but I’m not sure if it was during a match. Edit: yep it was- ruclips.net/video/_nzTG6TQu0c/видео.html
I remember one of NJ State Troopers pulling over a car near the Meadowlands and finding a drunk Iron Sheik and one of “All American” styled (Hacksaw Jim Duggan maybe?) wrestlers inside.
Ohhhh the stories I’ve heard lol there’s a lot meat on that bone
Joe R M hacksaw Jim duggan and iron sheik and they had I believe weed on them and was arrested. It was a major deal because Hacksaw was a “babyface” ( good guy) and Shiek was a “heel” (bad guy) and it was unheard of to have them travel together especially since on tv they were in a feud lol so it kinda peeled the veil back to show wrestling was a staged show (shocker lol)
I was a teenager during the 80's. It was great to be part in that era.
Was born next year. Loving the timeline videos. Hoping to see 90s as well
The content you guys run on the channel is great but these timelines just take it to another level.
"Small Wonders" always freaked me out as a little kid.
I experienced my first year of life in 1985. Although I was too young to fully appreciate the events that took place, this era truly resonates with me.
What an iconic year!
PLEASE DO OTHER DECADES AFTER THIS!! 70S AND 90S!!
I love this segment! I cant wait to hear about my birth year which will be your next episode!
I really enjoy this series I was kid back then and this just brings back so many memories
Great year! Omg the shows... all so nostalgic :)
