@susanrobinson910 Both great movies! He was my sister's favorite when we were kids, and she watched both of these movies weekly. The Great Outdoors was good, also.

Born in 1991 Like.. wow crazy historical times we're living/lived in , even til this day! Monarchy change, pandemics, technological advances, Mars, electric cars..etc.the list goes on!
In Serbia it was the dark ages, inflicted on others and self-inflicted. Wars, darkness, madness, sanctions. But the most beautiful thing also happened to me - my son arrived, in '98.
The Port Arthur Massacre that occurred on 28-4-1996, where 35 people were killed and another 23 wounded, was without doubt one of the most iconic events of the 1990s.
i am sorry not sure why you disappeared from my youtube feeds, i thought the channel closed, this is the first video i watch since years, thanks youtube!
My favorite decade was the 80's. That's when I was a teenager and had experienced my first taste of independence after buying my first car, a 1963 Ford Galaxie 500. The music of the 80's was a great influence on me. I joined the Army right after I graduated high school and went overseas. That was 1986. I spent most of the 90's in uniform. I got out in 1998. Pop culture of the 90's was hard to escape. I wasn't a fan of 90's pop culture and I certainly don't miss it, although there were some things about the 90's I did like. I had a laser disc player and was the envy of my Army buddies. I had one of the first bag phones and everyone in the barracks wanted to use it to call home. I made a lot of extra money on the side. Keep up the good work!
The 1990s was my favorite decade. I would love to relive it. My sister sang in a rock band, and I made several new friends (I thought would last a lifetime). My mother lived up to and through most of 1999. I had a dog, a parrot and raised cockatiels. I had a job I could tolerate and comfortable living conditions.
Princess Diana's funeral: I was working at the Olive Garden in Toronto, Canada the night before her funeral and when I had finished closing (kitchen staff so done around 2am as this was a busy Friday), I walked down from the restaurant to the Skydome (now called the Rogers Center). Her funeral was to be displayed on the giant JumboTron and even at 2:30am, there were some people already there even though I believe the live broadcast was not scheduled until 6am. By the time it was being aired live, the stadium was quite full. I had stayed to watch the service as I felt it was the very least to do to honor a person I never knew but only through the media.
Lived through 13 different Presidents, some good, some bad, some... evil. Watched as 3 astronauts died on the pad and 2-1/2 years later we walked on the moon. Cronkite broadcasting the daily body counts from Vietnam. Woodstock. Beatles (they aren't all that). Cuban missile crisis, both Kennedys & MLK's assassinations, My Lai, first Black man on the Supreme Court, Super Bowl 1, Roe v Wade, Billie Jean King, holy shit there's a lot over 65 years. 😶
For me, one of the most iconic tragedies happened in the Baltic Sea when HMS Estonia sank, killing 852 of approx 989 people onboard (none knows for sure) and promoted a change in the law to always have an accurate list of how many people were onboard at any given moment. My fave teacher at the time almost went onboard but her husband got sick the night before and so they were saved.
I live in Norway, and we hosted the winter-olympics in 94. And I must mention the horrific Estonia-disaster, which also happened in 94. That was a passenger-ferry, who sank with 852 souls. Most of the passengers were from Estonia and Sweden.

I remember hearing about Princess Dianna my first day of my grade 12 year. I heard about her death when I was getting ready for school on the radio. We didn't have cable at that time because we just moved to Cold Lake AB from Winnipeg MB and didn't have anything set up yet. Everyone was talking about her demise at school that day. Going to a new school was already pretty awful so sadly Dianna's death is permanently etched in my memory.
