- This Tai Chi for Beginners "10 minutes easy practice" video, is all you need to find the magic of the energy inside you. If you have ever started your day by wishing you had more energy - that you could tap into the same energy that makes the birds sing and ocean flow - then you need this workout. Follow along this easy sequence (perfect tai chi for seniors, perfect tai chi for kids too), as each move is repeated several times, until you find yourself in the rhythm of nature. That's moving meditation. That's whole body healing. The life energy you discover in your Tai Chi practice will fuel you through the day, to give you energy for anything you want to accomplish today.
Oh yes. Doing tai ji is like flying a kite on a windy ocean beach.
Isn't it though? That's just what I was thinking when I saw this kite flying while I was filming. :-)
Beautiful Tai chi movements.. It's so relaxing and keep me in the present.. I am trying out for the first time following your video but towards the end in old monk chopping woods, I got lost in the hands and legs movements.. Will definitely practice it over and again.. Have a great day and Thank you once again Shifu DR. 👏🥋🥊
That was stunning David Dorian!!! Thanks for waking me up today! Miss Mentoring today! It’s a HABIT NOW!!!
Love your Tai chi lesson
Tai chi, the way you do it inspired me. Thank you for shared all the videos.
What a beautiful way to start my day! I did this on my deck with the birds singing, the breeze blowing, the sun peeking through the trees. I'm ready to face the day - nothing can stop me now! Thank you ! ❤
What a beautiful way to start my day!! For the past couple of months I have been following one of your other videos every morning, but this was even more magical! It was as though I could hear the roar of the waves and feel the crisp breeze. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks once again! Please keep them coming! Just FANTASTIC!!
Dan thank you so much!
You and tai chi have changed my life. You helped me rehab from a heart attack and have changed my life and attitude for the better. Wish I had known you a long time ago. I could go on and on. Suffice it to say, I am forever in your debt!
Fell in love with an old instructional course DDR did way back when. Imagine my delight to find hes refined his format to an even simpler meditative form. Love what you do homie.
Beautiful 😍🤗 thanks
Love it
The Tai Chi class I started going to folded because of poor attendance and I so like the instructor that I didn't look for another. A year or more later I decided to look on you tube and eventually found you DDR and I must say that I am thrilled. I have started to do a little practice every day and I just love how you encourage us to have a go and to go and create the flow. Just right for me. Many thanks!
Lesley - so sorry to hear your last class folded! I'm always bummed when that happens. But I am delighted you found the channel - I hope you find lots of videos to enjoy and practice with!
Great practice...
Love this flow!! I shared it with 2 classes today, and everyone enjoyed it. Thank you!
My Dr. Recommended you and I’m giving this my best.👍
I love to use this as a warm up or down before I do my power walk, thanks David xx
💛🙏💛🙏💛🙏
You appeared as I was thinking about this and alas failing in my attempts to regain BaLance. Thank you very much appreciated
It's ok 👌😊👍 thank you for the rest.
Thanks DDR its allways nicee to start Morning with a Little qi :)
Hope everything is alright in your world. I look every day to see if you have done a new video. You are sorely missed by more than just me. Thanks for all you do!!
Old Lady Digs in Garden -- that's me !
Dorian, thanks for this, i tried it but i was more stressed to follow u then being relaxed to do it, i was much confuded on steps, is this most easy steps or u have another to explain thé mouvement... Thanks so much for this moment... Good luck.
As usual nice routine. David, there was a 10 minute routine you did awhile back, that eas taped at late sunset, it was a great routine but very dark and sometimes hard to follow. It has become my favorite and wondered if you could reshoot it on a sunny day? Anyway all of them are terrific and you have become my favorite Tai Chi instructor on U Tube.
John thank you so much! Wow -what a great compliment; that truly does inspire me to continue to make more like this one. As far as the video at sunset goes... now I'll have to go back and see if I can figure out which one it was!
I'm not a big fan of constantly changing camera angles. Titles are good and execution is clear and easy to follow.
Joe Nowak Thanks Joe!
I agree...this is hard to follow as a beginner
I've only just come upon this video and I agree, especially with the woman who stubbornly refused to move out of the camera view as she was getting ready to go surfing. She distracts me every time. I'm going to look around the channel to hopefully find another video similar to this but without the distractions.
DDR, I pactise the "turn body and kick with heal" the most and it's still the one move that I stuggle with!
Well I've had a difficult week, too say the least. There's an old quote "for want of a nail the kingdom was lost" and this is apt to my recent tribulations. The leason, I should have learnt well by now, is pay attention to details. So about 200 miles into my 800 mile journey I started to be concerned about the squealing noise coming from my car or trailer I stopped to investigate. I discovered that the bearings on one side of my trailer had totally disintigrated and after spending a day running around trying to find replacements I was left with no choice but to buy a new trailer. The problem turned out to be because I had not noticed that the hubcap was missing, so 1st it shed all it's greese and then it totally burnt out the bearings. But, wait, as if that wasn't enough today I returned from a shopping trip, I thought I'd locked up my bike, I was just having I bite to eat when a noise drew my attention, I turned to see some little **** taking my bike. I gave a pretty good chase but he was on a bike and I was on foot. So 2 costly lessons, pay attention to every little detail no matter how small.
BTW the 1st thing I did when I ran into difficulties on the road was to find a bit of space in the Aire de Repos (French rest areas) and do some T'ai Chi. I continued this throughout the journey and I have to say that, dispite my difficulties, this was the most relaxed trip to date.
Great video. Could you please share your music Playlist?
Hi Nurys! Yes of course I'll start adding the music list to the description of the videos. These days, I'm getting almost all of my RUclips tracks from a website called EpidemicSound.com. Check them out - they've got really the best tracks I've found so far.
I mostly enjoyed this, but I struggle to be on the "correct" side - I start a movement following what you are doing with your right & left arms and legs, then half way through the movement I realise I have somehow switched and am mirroring what you are doing (or worse, my arms are on the correct side but my legs are mirroring yours)! Would it matter if I just mirrored your movements - I find that much easier!
Ann you're in luck. In just a few minutes I'll be uploading today's video that will explain how to follow these "Flow" sessions. The short answer is: just do what you see, and don't worry at all about left or right!
❤️
Yes that’s good man. I think some of the music was a bit nicer before, when it was just an acoustic playing...no need for drums
Thank god I did Tai chi before I tripped ddr I Caught myself before I went down. :D
😎👌
