Just picked up one of these bags in medium to replace a Kelty Redwing 50. I had always struggled to fit all of my camping gear into the 50L bag and eventually the zipper broke, so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a slightly larger bag. So far the bag feels incredibly durable and deceptively spacious, given that it actually looks quite petite from the outside. I was able to fit a two-burner camp stove with one cannister of propane, a two-person tent, a sleeping bag, a sleeping pad, a hammock, a collapsible hammock stand, a tarp (for over the hammock), and several other odds and ends inside and still needed to cinch down the compression straps a bit to get a snug fit. This thing is massive, durable, and I am excited to hit the road with it.
Just got the medium in the black color but I love the yellow you got here. I had been eyeballing this bag for a long time and then I got one from work. Best review I’ve seen on this bag. I’m excited to use it for trips to Oregon and Seattle where it rains a lot and it’s probably going to be my bag for when I go to a few countries in Europe next year. I had a choice between the medium and large and like you said the medium has plenty of room.
I've been asking this question too and for European airlines you're more likely to be rejected as the weight limit for many airlines is maximum 10Kg. Small seems to be the safer issue and even that exceeds the maximum dimensions but as its a duffel it can be squished. I'm going to get the small and likely the same colour as the vid :)
