Can I say.. you are the Mr. Rogers of the homestead world. This is a compliment
howdy neighbor
I love my mini, too. My siblings laughed at me when I told them I bought one. They aren't laughing anymore.
Great idea using the truck to roll. The fencing mini truck has 1000 uses good investment.
I am also in NC and I'm calling it spring. Camellia trees are budding, birds are back chirping, roosters are fighting, hens are back laying eggs. regardless of what the calendar says, first stages of spring are here
So enjoyed todays video. Not that I don’t enjoy all your videos!
Todays, the videography, content, flow and music…well, perfection! Great job.
Yay! Thank you!
With the voice over in the beginning and the sounds of the farm and you working, it seemed like a mini documentary. 🙂 Loved the music at the end.
Jason, I'm really liking the pace and tone and video-ness and all the editing you do. Voice overs, explanations and over all just listening to your world as you work. I jumped when I heard that crow caw. It sounded like it was outside my window hollering at me! I have cleaned out a few garden spots and cleaned up around the place, but I know better than to plant just yet. Still got a little bit to go, despite what Phil the groundhog has to say about it.
I'm really enjoying the videos with no music, very peaceful and much more my speed after a long days work.
Congratulations, Jason! The fence looks GREAT! I am doing The Hallelujah Happy Dance!!!!
I saw someone in my small town in Ohio driving a mini truck today and I instantly thought of you. It's the first time I've seen a mini truck in person.
You make fence building look easy. Those pigs are so fascinating
Fence is looking great. I have learned a lot watching your progress. I must say I think Zeek and Elvira need a glamor shot calendar. Maybe even some shots of the kids. They are the best.
I like how the camera just takes us around with you and there are quiet places
at 3:28, those vines growing up the oak tree look suspiciously like poison oak vines embedded into the bark. I love seeing you enjoy the 'mimi' truck. Be Blessed.
Good fences make good neighbors
You are in North Carolina ,,, Now we can have all 4 seasons all in 1 day.
I somehow missed this video Jason. I did see you put the poles in and make the H brace at one end. Freddy and the piglets! I like your fencing pliers. I bought my husband a pair of them for Christmas one year. If you use staples for your fence you have to have those. So fun to see the roll of fence get moved by the minitruck. Wow, the fence moved the minitruck! That fence looks really nice Jason. Thanks for this video Contreras family!
We need to get you a tractor company sponser.
Hi Jason. I enjoyed your day-in-the-life style video. Breakfast, coffee then off to get more fencing done. You're Amazing. 👏👏
I like these permanent fencing. Slow but you will get there.
Yey! One step closer...100 feet closer! Great job Jason! Blessings!
Your fencing is looking really good, Jason. Like you said, each section gets better. Thanks for sharing and see you Friday on the podcast with Al & Ben. Have a Blessed day.
This guy is on fire 🔥. The difference since January 1st. is amazing.
You should have fence building classes...I d come
Every time you go out to feed your kunekunes and they come running to greet you - it puts a huge smile on my face! They are so adorable!
Chock your mini truck tires to help keep it from moving. You can buy tire chocks where semi truck supplies are sold but i think Harbor Freight sells them too. With that slick grass, a chock might slip. A triangular wedge of fire wood works pretty well for a smaller truck and is easier to kick into the dirt.
You are the Fence doctor, for sure. Great job. 💕✌️👋💕
I was gonna say, it’s starting to look like a farm!
It’s amazing that you do all that by yourself.
Had to smile regarding your Spring’s coming quip. Over in the middle of England; north notts, Derbyshire, Yorkshire, we have a saying that goes “Naer cast a clout til May is out”. ( never take off any winter clothes til the May blossom has bloomed). Some think it means til end of the month of May, but it’s the Hawthorn.
Mini truck sure is your other right hand. nice fence job , Love them pigs
Love your videos. You are not all about content but actual real life accomplishments. Your place is looking great.
It is really amazing the transformation over just a year...well ✅ done #TeamSowTheLand!! Most authentic Homestead Family (Channel) I've encountered 💝🌟💜💟💜🙏🏻
Work smarter, not harder! I'm waiting for the high tunnel to be finished. This nice weather after the snow makes me want to go our to the garden and plant EVERYTHING!!! God bless y'all and keep growing.
Fantastic progress & great filming & explanations! I won’t be building a fence but could refer someone to watch, if they wanted to build one! Those pigs are so entertaining! Blessings to everyone 🤗🇨🇦
Nice warmer days, then here comes blackberry winter.
That's how I do it. I use my truck to stretch the wire. But I have a big ranch Hand bumper on the front and I use a come along.
You need to put a strand of electric fence along the top of the fence for when you get your cows and that will keep them from pushing on it.
Now if that tow bar was only 2 to 3 feet taller and some wheel choks you'd be good to go. Great work mate.
I love using a Ranch vehicle as a Ranch vehicle. Well done. Love the videos!!
Love watching your videos I always learn something😊
I'm so glad!
Love these videos! I appreciate all the fencing videos, helps us see different scenarios you come across and how you handle them.
Really loving the fence series. I am learning too, Through your experiences. Very interesting and enjoyable. Thanks!
Great innovation with putting up that fence. Looks fab. Top job.
Happy Thursday from Sparta, NC. That's one way to string fence😊...good job!
Fantastic job real smart to use your mini truck the fencing is looking real good....😊
Fence stretching guy! Good job!
Great job Justin, not having any help you are doing a commendable task. Love the go-pro pig series.👍👍
We have false spring going on here too! I live in CT right on the coastline. Typically it’s still cold this time of the year but the last couple of weeks we re having 40-50*days. Today will be sunny and 46*! But, while I m loving it, I also understand the need for the colder degrees and the snowfall. You and Lorraine should be very proud of the life you are creating. The steady work ethic of the two of you shows itself in the progress you have made since you moved there. Your property is beautiful. Your barn and house are coming along quite nicely. Also your vlogs are a favorite of mine. I ll never put up a fence like you are doing but actually learning how to do it is quite interesting. And you re right - it is quite peaceful and meditative to even just watch that process.
Thanks for sharing the fence experience! Always look forward to seeing what you've accomplished!
I've even used a come-along and a couple of lengths of black steel pipe to stretch shorter lengths of fence. Fieldcraft. 🙂
I wouldn't bother doing a wooden fence except for aesthetics, near the driveway entrance, for example.
I'd have to say that you are a pretty smart man. I enjoy your videos 🙏🙏❤❤🙌🙌👍👍
Just a thought, it might be a good idea to put and additional H brace in the middle of your 100' or in between where you put your gates. Love the videos.
oh geez
Congratulations on your new fence!
Wow Jason, the fenc look awesome and to see you did it yourself, alone. Smart idea using the mini to roll the fence. It saved a lot of hard work in doing so. You should be proud of what you accomplished by yourself. Your homestead is looking better with each project you complete. Thank for sharing your videos with us. The weather is tricky, spring like today and bitter cold the next day. The springlike weather will make you want to start planting in the garden, but DON!T. Fantastic job on the fence Jason. Bye for now from Alabama
Thank you for ansering my question about the fence.
I love ur calm positive videos! 👍👍👏👏 Ur fence build is very inspiring!!!
What an Awesome custom bumper!
Good day to all, peace,,, nice window.
We enjoy following the fence build.
Maybe next time put the truck 90° to the pull!! some kind of vertical holder for the fence roll hoked to the truck and that you can pull could help
The truck was moving for some time 😂
Jason when you get on a long run of fence where you can use T post you will get way more than 100' every two days.
oh yeah!
Fence looks great!!!
Just love your great attitude & excellent work ethic!
So love watching you enjoy your work awesome video thanks Pete cape town south Africa looking forward to seeing more progress 🎉
A good looking fence!
Nice progress. Blessings.
Wow, nice job!!! New to the channel but have heard every episode of the podcast. I love podcast content from you all.
Welcome aboard!
Coming along really good. Love those pigs!
Enjoyed watching u build fence. Thx!
You have done amazing work well dun you. My advice is not use wood across the top or bottom .the animals will rub against it and it will break .thy love to scratch. I use barb wire at the top .all the way round. If you don’t want to use barb wire, you can use the wire you cut off from the horse fencing .use it top and middle/ bottom that will give you better support when animals Lean against it ❤😊
Thanks for the tip
@@SowtheLand i forgot to say if you do that you need little metal rings that connect to the fence and wire just use pliers to pinch together well dun 🤠👍
Good advice. God bless.
Truck is really helpful!
Love the video!! Great job on the fence!
Thank you!
Jason. That’s a first rate fence.
Great job
When the kunies come running, they sound like the muppets singing. Dooo dooo dooo dooooooo,
🐝 Thanks for the great video 🌻
Nice chainsaw! Is it very heavy? I worked my way, clearing my property going north then east, now I’m coming back around headed south cleaning up my mess. I have a blister from using the sawzall, which is worth it’s weight in gold. Maybe one of those mini chainsaws would be more my size. I hope my fence looks as good as yours!!
Great video.🌻🌻💕💕
Nooice! 😎 STOC
Next time, wedge a chock behind the wheel, to block it from moving! 😅
Hi @sowtheland silly question, but do you need to go back and fill in the holes from where you screwed in the supports for the posts to keep them upright to prevent carpenter ants/bees getting in to prevent another infestation of the post? This is not a criticism, it's a genuine query. If any of the commenters could enlighten me I'd love to learn.
Put bricks under your wheels to stop truck moving
fence height wont keep jumpers out from your property need to be at least six feet high.
yeah those pigs got hops!
From the comfort of my computer chair, it seems like the fencing is going up in much less time than in the beginning.
Please wear Kevlar chaps whilst using chain saw.
will the chickens be able to free range one the fencing is finished.
Maybe when you put your car sitewarts it will stay better?
Do think you could raise your own corn for feed
❤❤❤❤❤
You need roof bar's on your mini truck. Question can you not run the little pigs in the woods
Tax day. April 15. Ok to plant
💗
👏👏
👍
I was wondering if you noticed that she was moving 🎉😢😂😂
What is the tool you use to tighten the chain?
😊❤😊
