      If he did not mention the drill bit, its for masonry or setting driveway markers. Its possible to drill into a gravel road and set a fiberglass marker stick.

    Great job on the turkeys... according to Pete on Just a few Acres Farm, that kind of clicking chirp is Turkey for "Hey look i found something new and good". Your turkeys got out of the crate onto the grass and first one, then another, then soon all of them were making that click-chirp. So cool!

    I bought (3) Bronze Dbl Breasted turkeys from TSC and feed them 30% GameBird feed. The best thing I do is feed [Vitamins & Electrolyte] in all my water feeders [Mann-Lake & some hatcheries sell these packets]. I recently saw another video advertising a poultry blend added to water, the guy said it helps with the uptake of nutrients. My chickens are doing very well with the blend of feed I'm using (mixing grower & Meat-bird in different ratios).. When I was a young man, my employer would feed minerals mixed in the salt and swears it prevents his cows from a miscarriage with a better calf crop, the same is true with all types of livestock.

  • @ann2155
    @ann2155 6 месяцев назад +6

    I found that when I was raising them it was the heat that made the biggest difference. When they’re young, they get cold easily. I had a mama raise 14 of them last year they all survived.

    Can you recommend to new poultry keepers that all chickens, turkeys etc need grit in their diet so they can digest their food ,it’s essential to grind food in the gullet.crushed oyster shells; buy it in big bags ,is traditionally fed to them .and it helps form strong egg shells for hens and ducks

    Justin Rhodes found another dead turkey so put them in the coop and closed it tight put goose outside of coop then fenced it very hot and the hawk had the nerve to fly down and sit by the coop trying to figure out how to get in but couldnt so flew away... that is one determined hawk hugssssss

    One of my childhood memories is being sent to collect dock leaves to be chopped up for the turkeys, if I remember rightly to prevent blackhead. Much later in another chapter of my book of life, we raised turkeys for the Christmas market in the UK. 30 to 35 lbs, broad breasted bronze. Much too big to cook so we used to cut the legs off, freeze them then cook them later. ❤❤🌻🌻

    Turkeys are bunch of babies...our poults got pneumonia and we lost 6 out of 25...we have had to put them into our garage for a week because of the amount of rain...as soon as the heat came, they all went back into the pen and on grass...strange summer for poultry...Cheers from Maine.

    Looking at your setup got me wondering if pulling your netting power from the "hotter" perimeter fence is what killed your sheep. I looked back at your sheep video and saw that you also drew power from the perimeter fence. Just a thought - I don't know how much hotter your perimeter fence is, nor if there is a better (lower) setting for sheep. Cheers.
