Don’t know why but it is so entertaining to watch you do all this physical work, and see your animals living their best lives. Thank you for blogging your daily chores,
One joule is just 1/12 of the power I always hooked my pigs to on my perimeter fence. In 15 years of moving pigs, single wire fence, I only twice had my pigs get out. Both times was during big lightning storms.
You’re so lucky to have Randall. He’s awesome. Loved this video-not many kids have the wonderful experience of riding on a tractor with their dad; most of the time it’s their grandfather. Love your fatherly ❤️ commitment to the old ways. Can you imagine the smile on grand pop’s face watching from heaven-his son on his tractor riding around his grandchild❤️.
My Grandparents had 2 chicken houses 12 thousand in one 8 thousand the other they grow off in 8 weeks. I enjoyed helping with them as a kid it was hard work an hot in the summertime. Enjoy watching your farming videos. 😊
Hi, Jason! You have become a turkey whisperer too. I have been praying for them so long they feel like my children. Those little gobblers are awesome. The piglets are so cute. I like Little Red the best. Still loving your sense of humor.
Jason...Don't belittle the turkeys!(ok...they may be slow(cautious)), but remember...they almost became our 🇺🇸 national avian, but at the last minute it was decided that 🦃 weren't quite as tenacious as the bald eagle, which as you know...won the prize!🤣🙂😂🙃👀✅️
I am truly inspired by your dedication to providing more grass and freedom for your turkeys and pigs. Your commitment to enhancing their living conditions reflects a deep respect for animal welfare and a thoughtful approach to farming. Sharing these improvements not only showcases your care for your animals but also highlights the positive impact of better environments on their well-being. And I am Floating Village Life.
Good Times. Reminds me of my Pops.... he always had the 3... Beef, Chikkin n Pigs. He enjoyed the interaction, and rewards. And ive Never eatin Better food during those years. he passed in 2021. Sigh, but my Daughter has chikkins in Georgia now😁😁👍, she used to collect eggs on Poppo's homestead when she was a kid. Circle of Life brother Jason. Be blessed. Prayers for a Tractor🙏🙏
Love your vids and your reality humour. Jason you and Lorraine are wonderful on your farm. It is growing so well. I remember all the fencing you did, whew, glad thats done! Is your garden all done for now and/or do you plant late crops. I used to plant spinach at least twice with lots of it making to my freezer! Happy Days! 💦☀️😄👏❤️🥰🤗🙏
With those large feed bags you could make a pattern for a cool shoulder/grocery bag and make a Sow the Land stamp to have your logo on them and include them in your store. That fabric/plastic will hold alot of weight and last forever. Or another use would be to save as is and in the spring use them to cover fruit trees at night to protect from late frost that can destroy that year's harvest before it gets fully started.
I just want to say I'm very Proud of what you three have done. Since you moved onto this land. We don't see Miss Penelope very much. But when she is in the videos it is wonderful. I have been watching your videos since you started, and watching Miss P grow up has been wonderful. Please tell her and your wife I say Hi.
Jason. Go by McDonald's some time and ask if they still get their pickles in a green bucket and if they do could they give you any extras. They handled 50 lb loads no problem.
Enjoying your videos from the comfort of my chair with a cup of tea😅❤ but physically felt the weight of that rock bucket as last night I carried a bucket full of grassy dirt and it was heavy!!!!! How in the world did you lift that thing! Stay in good health there Jason. Love from Ontario Canada 🇨🇦🙏😊
It looks like you should just start planning strategic places around the property to put structures. Over time you'll have to do less trips for water/feed the more storage spots you have. Thanks for sharing your journey!
Hello. tks for video. Love all videos of your pigs. Lordy I remember those first pigs, the 2 brothers and how they ran off that time....lol.. but those brothers trained you well. Really enjoyed this video and the turkey move. Even shared this video on my FB timeline. Much love to ya'll.....
If you milked sheep or a cow, you would have enough protein for your chickens and pigs. Throw the pigs some eggs, and you have more. Grow mangleworzels and daikon radish and you have greens and starches through the winter and beyond. Feed the chickens all of your off- cuts, from butchering. There is no need to buy grain if you don't want to. But if you really wanted seeds for your chickens, consider growing amaranth and millet, very easy and prolific. Sunflower seeds too.
Where do you order those huge bags of feed? It’s very expensive to feed our animals shopping at tractor supply or other stores that sell by the 50lb bag.
hey Jason, if you don’t really like the taste of beef, liver or chicken liver cook some sausage with it and if you can have gravy using the iron corn flour do that and it comes out really tasty if you can have sage and Time put that in there little salt and pepper the sausage gravy changes the flavor of your beef liver
Yes when turkeys get older they're very strong I have a Tom Turkey a Wild West Turkey as very mean it jumps up 4 feet tries to spur me got me a couple times and I have knocked the sucker out quite a few times one time I thought he was dead picked him up and put him in a dogpen cause he was just leaning up against the cage up for sure he'd be dead in the morning that sucker came right back of the life again
Thank you for sharing 💛 Loved observing those turkeys at the end of video. I am curious if they caught on to the 'grit' and did they roost on top? on inside the coop?
Another great video, Jason! Could you please comment on the age and the weight of the young Kune Kunes you just moved? I am curious how taxing it is to pick them up. Thanks!
As you have so many turkeys this year, why don't you keep 2 or 3 hens and a tom and hatch out your own in future years. Could be a fun little project for Penelope.
I can almost hear Elvira sighing and saying,”FINALLY!”
Elvira's looking at you like. Come on, dad!!! Give me a break!❤❤
Just sitting here anxiously awaiting a turkey processing class announcement 😊
Love how you care for your animals! Blessings Kiddo!🌻🐛🌿💚🙏💕
SOW THE LAND

Lol!! The sped up end with the turkey’s following you everywhere around their paddock😃😘
Happy piggies and turkeys. Great vide, as always. ❤😊❇️💞❇️❤
Love how you keep a low profile is getting your audience to focus on the main characters, the farm animals. Your wit is hilarious!
Ok, love your sense of humour and your choices of music, Jason.
This has been an excellent turkey year for you. They are inquisitive and I think their purring is calming.
I liked watching the turkeys follow you around in fast forward. 👍👍😜
Glad you enjoyed
I really enjoy your videos I love how the turkeys follow you.
Jason the Turkey whisperer… sending you all lots of love from Melbourne Victoria Australia ❤
Lol. That was funny at the end when you ran it in fast forward. The turkeys really followed you around.
Oh my those animals are living their best life!! Love this
Your turkeys are making a lot of happy noises, Jason. 🦃
Great classical music at the end!!!!
Don’t know why but it is so entertaining to watch you do all this physical work, and see your animals living their best lives. Thank you for blogging your daily chores,
That little butterscotch kune is adorable!🐽🐖
Now I have a deeper understanding of the idiom 'eat like a pig' and the idiom 'bird brain'. LOL

OMGOSH... hahaha. The ending, fast speed ballet w you and the turkeys following you where ever you went.

Lol. That was hilarious at the end. The turkeys were literally following you everywhere.
Sow the Land music! SO happy to hear it again!!!

The turkeys are so sweet! 😊
Hi, Jason! You have become a turkey whisperer too. I have been praying for them so long they feel like my children. Those little gobblers are awesome. The piglets are so cute. I like Little Red the best. Still loving your sense of humor.
Turkeys are looking great
The turkeys and piggies were so cute today... very nice video Jason...Thank you 👍
"Gobble gobble. Gobble gobble." Jason displays excellent turkey language skills. (I always "meow" at cats, so I get it.)
gobble gobble
So does that mean Jason is bi- lingual? Lol.
@@SowtheLand Hey, wait, does that mean you think I'm a turkey?! 😲
Hahaha, true!

When I was small my father used to call us to a meal by saying”feet in the trough”😅😅😅
I love how well you take care of all you animals:)
thank you! a ton of work but so rewarding

👏👏👏 Same
I enjoyed your video and all the comments.😂😊❤
Ok what i found with my turkeys is that when it gets hot they like to stand in water to cool off; give them a cement mixing tray of water to stand in
How bout couple kiddo pools 😊
I think chicken like standing in water too. 🐓👍

You really got your feed system down. Not scary at all anymore. 😊
👏👏👏
Jason, use a home built vacuum pump to transfer feed. Look it up!
HI LOL it was funny seeing the Turkeys fallowing you like that.
👏👏👏
That was so funny when you dumped the “grit”, it sounded like that turkey said, what, what, what!! 😆
🤣
Is it FRIDAY yet? Can't wait for the next podcast! ❤❤❤
The turkeys sound like you are in Jurassic Park! Love watching your family success :)
Beautiful altro music.
I love how clean and organized you are!

Elvira is having spa time at her private retreat.
I’m glad you were to keep turkeys
Great farming video. Momma going to feel so happy. Young pigs maybe not so much.
Loved it all 😂 you and your animals are such a combo ....
I love your music choices. The ending was very cool. Gobble gobble!!!
Myself and a couple friends were camping one night and we had Turkey come in to the campsite.

First time looking at you're channel. Amazing, hard work, but that's how God want it to be. Much respect
I love ALL Sow the Land videos!
Love your music choice for the turkeys! ☺️
That was a fun day (for me) Thanks
I like how Lorraine said “oooo, that’s a big spider, blah!” lol
You're a flock leader, lol
fun at the farm 👀👀🙌🙌❤❤
Gobble gobble. God bless.
Awesome video!
What a lot of fun to watch😁!
Love the end scene. Lots of exercise. 🦃. Gobble gobble...
Jason. Go by McDonald's some time and ask if they still get their pickles in a green bucket and if they do could they give you any extras. They handled 50 lb loads no problem.
Great video always👍🏽
Thank you again
Great video Jason. 🤟🏻🇨🇦👍🏻
Growing fast
Good video, Jason
Pete and Hillary from Just a few acres farm homestead don't feed their new Turkey hatchings for 24 hrs I think and they hardly lose any!
That's what Jason did this year. Looks successful.
Enjoying your videos from the comfort of my chair with a cup of tea😅❤ but physically felt the weight of that rock bucket as last night I carried a bucket full of grassy dirt and it was heavy!!!!! Hey Jason,if you take up a little grass , they might dust bath… keep them busy. I’ve had wild ones set up a dust bath in a random spot in my yard.
Lots of good stuff going on
I enjoy following you along on your homestead chores.❣️ Would trimming the turkeys flight feathers keep them from flying over the netting??
Loved the music. 🎶
Jason, I did not know that the feed depreciated that fast! Oh, my goodness. What a terrible chicken keeper I am.
It’s going to help it in storage if you keep it dry. Humidity will degrade feed.
Jason and Lorraine are chicken whisperers. He has excellent communication skills with all his animals.
@@pampilgrim2274 yes Jason is the compassionate one.
All food depreciates fast, our does too!

You can also make a mobile corral for the sheep.
well, I have super hilly terrain..
Sheep need a large pasture to graze for hours and hours, not a small mobile corral.
Thank you for sharing 💛 Loved observing those turkeys at the end of video. I am curious if they caught on to the 'grit' and did they roost on top? on inside the coop?
Love your set up getting ready add pigs to our homestead. Can you tell me how many sets of fencing you use for one paddock please?
