Love the videos man I still regret not having a military career I so thinking tore my ACL to o shreds in high school just before Christmas 1990 the recruiter wouldn't have me that was then now so many years longer would you believe that isy worst regret in life I dreamed of being a soldier as young as I can remember I appreciate what all you guys have done for our country🇺🇲
"Dont wanna deal with the day to day bullshit on active" my biggest reason for wantin to go reserves its fuckin chill
Awesome content Ben! Could you please make a video about the Army Reserve Loan Repayment Program and what MoS qualifies for that?
Thank you!
How long did it take to get your bonus after you turned in your bonus paperwork?
Is being a 68w reserve fun? How much work do you guys do? Is it too much work? Do you heal peoples injuries on the battlefield? Is it boring? If yes, what times are boring?
Do you know how retirement time is calculated? I’m active duty right now but I’m ready to switch over
So how long is basic training and ocid toghther after you can come back home??
You are right on the fact that National guard is better for tuition.
Hi. Ben when you are in the reserves can you get discounts or any help to buy a house or a car?
Can you do 2 years contract of active duty and volunteer to join the reserves ?
Congrats man .
Thanks bro! 🎉
Hi Ben, I’ve been thinking about the army for a while now. This video helps me a lot. I truthfully didn’t know about reserves and it definitely intrigues me. I’m 29, have a decent career but want to join the army to serve, make some more income, and for the help of tuition. Do you know if army reserves help with student debt? Also, how many weeks is Basic training and AIT? If I’m serious about this, I’d want to work with my current employer and figure out timing, etc.
The reserves can help with student debt, and basic is 9-10 weeks long, and AIT length is dependent on the job you choose.
Ben Allen another question. I’m confused on pay and MOS. If I’m an E1, I’m paid a base salary, but do I get an additional salary from my MOS? Or is there just one base salary despite your MOS?
K. Y. You don’t get anything for your mos.
My army reserve unit is moving to a different location
How do I transfer to a company or in IT in another state
Can you tell me how much they pay for month if I reserve.
I’m thinking of joining the army this year. I have a BA Degree and a family, but my old ass is going to be 31 this year. My plan is to join for two years active duty to see if I would really like it. My question is, aside the limited MOS’s that you’re able to do, do you still get full benefits such as BAH and so on with a two year contract or would I have to enlist for longer than two years. Thanks!
Longer than 2 for the full gi bill
What’s up old man! 31 and planning to join too.
congratulations!! us weekend warriors stick together ✊
E G. Hell yeah! Still getting used to it! Just went to my first Battle Assembly this past weekend!
I'm 17 I'm joining the split ops enlistment and I'm asking if the process from going from reserves to active duty that difficult? I'm trying to do reserves until I graduate and then go full on active duty. Fyi I'm trying to do a medic mos and idk if I will be taught my mos there.
I heard it can be difficult yes. And you will learn your 68w job once you go to AIT after Basic.
Me too! I’m wondering about the same thing because I’ll only be in school for two years then I want to go active too
Hey
I wanna know about the monthly pay in army reserve and also how many days leave annually?thank u
I make like 350 in the Reserves for the 2 days that I go as a SGT if you are a lower rank you’ll make less. And you don’t get any leave days in the Reserves since you only show up 2 days out of the month.
Also, so how much is was the bonus I listened most the time but
Question which is better, I am debating between 68w and peralegal specialist dont know what to choose
68w
What was the total pay while in basic training? I want to join the reserve but I'm 33 yrs old with a family and would be taking a pay cut for basic. Just wondering if I could still pay my Bills while in basic.
So basic as a private you’ll make like 650-700 every 2 weeks.
Did you end up enlisting? AJ?
@@boltononabudget7423 No I would but I can't afford the salary. I suggest joining young before having too much on your plate.
@@ajochoa6216 keep your head up high
yo bro they make you use your old uniforms ? or do I get fresh gear :D
When you get to the Reserves they give you mew stuff!
I’m joining from active duty to reserves with a bonus &stabilization. Did they offer u that?
What does that mean? Stabilization? I get out in October and just wanna set myself up for goodness ya know.
How much schooling does the reserves pay for. I’m shipping for basic on September 8th. 68W
I good amount! You can find the exact answer online
Hey Ben thank you for your service and everything you do you make amazing videos man new subscriber to btw but I took the asvab awhile ago and got a 28 do you know any good recourses to use to help me pass thank you
There a lot on google just type in asvab study guides!
Ben Allen Thank you
Congratulations
Thank You! 🔥
Does OSC give age wavier to the age of 42
How long did it take for you to get your bonus? Just switched from active duty. Turned in my paperwork about 2 weeks ago.
How long did it take you? My info just posted on IPERMS. My administrator told me I’d have to wait because I’m not the only person in the Army. Idk how much wait is reasonable vs him having me on the bottom of his pile.
@@eatchas it ended up taking about 2 or so months due to the paperwork getting lost the first go around.
@@warrenleonard4516 thanks bro. I’m at the one month point hopefully it comes through soon.
@@eatchasdid you ever get it
@@Percattack NOPE. Was supposed to get news on the 21st. But I got distracted by multiple family emergencies. This past weekend was drill but we went to the field and my retention NCO wasn’t there.
I'm trying to go reserves. I'd there a 3x5 contract
What kind of battalion will you be in? I'll be in a signal battalion.
DaxSwag's#1Fan im in a Blood Detachment!
is it possible to go to med school and be a reserve at the same time?
Heaven Clark yes!
How
Hey with the bonuses does that mean if you chose 6 years for 10k then they would just hand you 10k??
I’m really looking to join but i can’t get enough info
It’ll be taxed so it’ll be less than 10k
Ben Allen cool but they’ll give you cash in your bank account?
For the most part yeah, you just gotta turn in the bonus paperwork when you get to the new unit.
Swearing in next wensday for Army Reserves! Thinking between 68G or 68J 😬
Best of luck bro!
Ben Allen thank you bro! Love ur army videos, stay grinding! 💪🏼
Of course bro! Thank you! Please share the videos to your other friends as well!
I'm going in active duty at the end of this month and my biggest worry is just making friends.
Nova Sky it’s really not that hard, it’ll come easier than you think! 🎉
If you think you’re weird don’t worry there’s weird people there. If you thinks it’s because you’re to quite don’t worry they’ll make sure that you’re not lol
Man, this is 10 months ago. I wonder how's he doing.
you'll have a lot of friends. You are going to need a lot of strength dealing with politics.
Hey so much a year would you make? I’m interested in doing these
Not a lot honestly
It’s like 4-5k a year but benefits are good
You didn’t have to do MEPS again?
Nope
I’m 30 and really want to join the military. I have no school but 20 years of life experience as an entrepreneur in international business. Not sure what MOS is similar to my experience.
Are you thinking Active Duty or Reserve/NG?
Ben Allen Not sure, I know I want to get a degree and also become an officer when the time comes. What do you recommend?
Well if getting a degree is your main concern I would recommend Reserves/NG
Ben Allen Good and what brings me to the next topic is Branch AF vs ARMY which would rank “faster”? Or worth the 20 years I would be willing to put in.
I don’t really know a whole lot on the AF but Army does rank up pretty fast depending on the job.
Glad I’m staying with the reserves 😂
Did I just watch someone get killed in the intro 😂😂
Do u earn bonuses for how much people u live with??
No
Aye Ben is being a 11b so bad ? Like being treated badly then others?
It’s a little true, yeah!
Ben Allen thank you man for replying ! I always wanted to do infantry but in your opinion do you think it’s worth joining that mos ?
@@danielfrausto9697 fuk no man. Think again theres hundereds of mos in army.
I was planning to join Army reserve but I can’t decide between Active/National guard/Reserve, I’m 19 yr old and I can’t decide which?
Go active first don’t like it join the reserves
@@MysticSoul19 it’s reserves first n if u do like it. Then u switch to ACTIVE. You get honorably discharged n messes up things for u in the civilian life.
I mean what I was told it’s best to do that.
I got 3 months left
so do you receive your bonus all at once ?? how does that work ?
In some cases you do get it all at once and others you get it in payments
Do you know anyone that joined Active Duty at age 25
A lot of people
Can I sign 3 years active duty?
Yes if it’s available!
Why not guard?
Treva mason the reserves were the first ones to hit me up so I went with that!
I wanna join, but what are the chances I die man...
12%
I just got to my unit and 10 minutes in I was getting fucked with a lot
Sounds like the Army
Is there a 2 year reserve
Lol u didn’t answer my question
TheSolidus909 😂😂😂😂
Update us 😊
Joining at 29 years old is too old?
Nope
