I would love to see tons more sketch book sessions! I only have a suggestion though, I think that maybe drawings some weird and whacky dragons could be a really good way to release and make some creative juices. It’s just something that is really open and doesn’t need that much attention to anatomy, it’s just about the ideas and the story you can create.
I was once doing a drawing challenge that involved rolling a d 12 and a d 20 each like 10 times for prompts. Unfortunately, I am poor and have no dice, so I used the dice rolling bot on our DnD discord… which I was DM’ing. It was very fun seeing all the players panic and ask what tf I was planning.

"Is it gay to be a warlock?" Me, a DM: *looks over to the undead dhampir warlock in my campaign, who is in love with his vampire patron/maker* "heterosexuality? Never heard of her." Also, I'm looking forward to running their romantic arc- I assured my player there was potential for romance between their character and patron, there's just emotional labor on patron's end to be done. It's gonna be a fun ride though, cuz his patron's backstory is buckwild and I look forward to drip feeding my players that cuz the whole party is invested in the relationship. 🤣

I'll try to avoid too many spoilers for Curse of Strahd and Van Richten's Guide, cuz I'm using both for my campaign. Although storywise I took a few liberties for the sake of tailoring to the party, what I disclose might not apply to the canon modules. Anyways, I told my group I was comfortable having romance in the campaign, and as a response the warlock’s player specifically requested their character arc be a romantic one with their patron. My warlock's player wanted the patron to be a canon character that had beef with Strahd, and as soon as I mentioned Jander Sunstar with a quick description of his personality and appearance they went “Him! I want him to be my PC’s patron.” And between the small paragraph about Jander I got from Van Richten’s guide and the lore dive I did while preparing the overall campaign, I realized that a romantic storyline would fit very well in this campaign, with Strahd being a great contrast to Jander over how they both treat their romantic prospects. The gist I’m going to present to my players is that Jander learned his lesson that you can’t force a person to love you- Strahd has not. So let me bring up how my warlock met his patron. In his backstory he was a merchant that occasionally participated in some black market dealings, and one deal in particular went south enough that he was in the middle of getting beaten to death when Jander happened upon them. Now, in my lore dive I noticed a pattern in Jander’s behavior- that he has a tendency to bottle up his negative emotions, especially anger, and lash out at some easy targets once he’s seen someone he considers innocent get hurt. This incident was no different, and while he was able to kill or drive away the warlock’s attackers, our dear warlock was very close to death. Jander told him that he had a way to save his life, but it was a bit drastic and there’s a chance it would permanently change him. Warlock agreed right before he passed out from blood loss. The warlock doesn’t know exactly what Jander did (that’s a side mystery for the campaign) but he became a dhampir as a result and he’s been loyal to Jander ever since. As one player put it nicely, these two are at the tail end of a slow burn romance. The campaign is just the inciting incident for it. We’re still in the beginning stages of the campaign, using the House of Lament parts from Van Richten’s to level the party up before releasing them into Barovia. So when the group got caught up in The Mists, the warlock got separated from Jander. Party arrived at the house, they met a friendly spirit medium- an NPC I made up for the campaign, someone Madame Eva told them to find for answers. While they explored the house, Warlock kept finding various items that belonged to Jander. They had been made aware that The Mists have a tendency to mess with space and time, so they theorized (correctly) that Jander had arrived at the house at least a day or two before they did. After the first seance, an unnamed spirit used the board to warn the party that the medium wasn’t who he seemed. Some extra spooky ghost shenanigans later, the party decides to confront the medium about the items. Push comes to shove, a fight breaks out, and after enough damage on the medium occurs it is revealed that there is an extra face underneath the medium’s damaged skin. Their opponent peeled away the skin to reveal that he wasn’t the real medium after all, but Strahd himself. He took the moment to assure them that he wouldn’t be harming them this session- and that Jander gave himself up in exchange for the party’s safety from Strahd while in the house. So now we have the gist of the plot going- that for reasons to be revealed, Jander has been kidnapped by Strahd and the party is extra motivated to go kick his ass the next time they meet. And he did promise them that if they made it out of the house they would be invited to his next dinner party. But the goal of killing Strahd will be a hard one to reach, for he is a powerful man with many allies.
The second drawing just gave me the vibes of: “DUDE YOU COULD’VE LOOKED THIS GOOD THE ENTIRE TIME!! AND YOU CHOOSE A SQUID?!! I WILL BE SO ANGRY IF YOU GO BACK!!” Kevin in the third drawing: “I’m just gonna place my hand on my husband to make sure he’s okay” And the fourth drawing made my cheeks hurt. It was cute! Sooo cute! Thank you a lot, I’ve had it rough with a person in school and my mind has been so distracted with how I shall talk to her about her terrible behaviour towards me and my friends. So my energy has been drained but this made me stop thinking about it for a while. Thanks a lot.

My current d&d character is a human child Artificer, his name is Zypher, he’s been adopted by the femboy lizard barbarian dad of the party. The most chaotic thing I did as him is make a boss and her room smell like spaghetti
You should look up Cloak of the Depths It allows whomever is wearing the cloak to breath underwater. It also had tentacles that come from under the cloak that can propel the user in any direction. I think it might be super helpful if your dm will allow it 😁 👌🏻

Squid boy kinda gives me vibes of "ayo dude chill I don't know why you in a big time rush" and then just looks into the camera while Felix wonders what is he even looking at?
Is it bad that even though I dont know much about them I kinda want to ship Felix and Kevin together like, I know one is literally a god like sea monster and the other is this mortal who said god like sea monster decided was fun to be around, but I just for some reason I want to ship them and I dont know if thats a good thing.
Bruh the warlocks I knew were as followed: Her best (girl)friend, who was also the only one who excepted her, was murdered right in front of her eyes, so she went to the most powerful general of the underworld to get her back. She murdered, scammed, did sacrifices, all just to get her soul back. The general for her hard work, did just that, and gave her the screeching soul of her loved one, who was much more of a curse, reminding the character that it was her fault she died, how she could have saved her. But she was just happy to have her back, so she kept her around, kept doing jobs to keep her, until the party came in and killed her boss. It was very sad, it turns out that haunted ghost was not her actual soul, just a demon in disguise. It’s unclear what happened to the character afterwards, whether she moved on or kept trying to find ways to get the love of her life back. The next warlock I knew was a huge wh*re. She slept with EVERYBODY. Mostly barmaids. Got herself destroyed by flirting with a barmaid who wasn’t interested and who was a mindflayer.
I was having a very high stress day & thought “I haven’t watched one of Alex’s videos in a long time & his overall presence is soothing. Oh, a tentacle warlock sounds right up my alley!” Haha I guess all this to say thank you for sharing your work & thoughts with all of us! Something that helps me from keeping to one polished drawing per sketchbook page is just thumbnail sketching and gesture posing! Also I adore the story of Warlock falling for patron, I have a few myself. Including my main Wizard turned warlock who didn't know she had made a pact. Her Patron is Technically Grazz'zt But her Powers is coming from another player. Our Monk who had a Demon sealed within him and recently came to terms with sharing his body in a perfect balance with. They love each other even before this and I adore them.
I loveeee the added touch of the pinky purple gradients :O Definitely beats the random shapes behind sketches I always used to do haha! I love these two so muchhhh 💜💜

I'm really sad because my friend started a campaign that I was a part of. But sadly we only had 1 session and won't be continuing it. I was really excited for it too because my character was a chaotic evil tiefling paladin named Mikhail. Yes in reference to the character in my profile picture. But as long as I get to watch and listen to other people enjoying their campaigns I suppose that's good enough for me.

You should look up Cloak of the Depths
It allows whomever is wearing the cloak to breath underwater. It also had tentacles that come from under the cloak that can propel the user in any direction.

Is it bad that even though I dont know much about them I kinda want to ship Felix and Kevin together like, I know one is literally a god like sea monster and the other is this mortal who said god like sea monster decided was fun to be around, but I just for some reason I want to ship them and I dont know if thats a good thing.

Bruh the warlocks I knew were as followed:
Her best (girl)friend, who was also the only one who excepted her, was murdered right in front of her eyes, so she went to the most powerful general of the underworld to get her back. She murdered, scammed, did sacrifices, all just to get her soul back. The general for her hard work, did just that, and gave her the screeching soul of her loved one, who was much more of a curse, reminding the character that it was her fault she died, how she could have saved her. But she was just happy to have her back, so she kept her around, kept doing jobs to keep her, until the party came in and killed her boss. It was very sad, it turns out that haunted ghost was not her actual soul, just a demon in disguise. It’s unclear what happened to the character afterwards, whether she moved on or kept trying to find ways to get the love of her life back.
The next warlock I knew was a huge wh*re. She slept with EVERYBODY. Mostly barmaids. Got herself destroyed by flirting with a barmaid who wasn’t interested and who was a mindflayer.
Felix mission in the next session should be to destroy those sunglasses, because kevins eyes are amazing!
I was having a very high stress day & thought “I haven’t watched one of Alex’s videos in a long time & his overall presence is soothing. Oh, a tentacle warlock sounds right up my alley!” Haha I guess all this to say thank you for sharing your work & thoughts with all of us! I thanked my friend today for telling me about your channel a year ago. Thanks again for all that you do & for being genuinely you.

Something that helps me from keeping to one polished drawing per sketchbook page is just thumbnail sketching and gesture posing!
Also I adore the story of Warlock falling for patron, I have a few myself. Including my main Wizard turned warlock who didn't know she had made a pact.
Her Patron is Technically Grazz'zt But her Powers is coming from another player. Our Monk who had a Demon sealed within him and recently came to terms with sharing his body in a perfect balance with.
They love each other even before this and I adore them.
I loveeee the added touch of the pinky purple gradients :O Definitely beats the random shapes behind sketches I always used to do haha! I love these two so muchhhh 💜💜

I'm really sad because my friend started a campaign that I was a part of. But sadly we only had 1 session and won't be continuing it. I was really excited for it too because my character was a chaotic evil tiefling paladin named Mikhail. Yes in reference to the character in my profile picture.
