@Reseted Kitsune yeah, my friend and i were always talking about how we have ideas for stuff but we're too lazy to actually put it into practice, so i thought of this as a way for both of us to have someone pushing us to keep working

Oh boy, I love seeing more people discovering the wonders of CSP! Sooooo here are some more tools that some of ya may find useful : "enclose and fill" (next to all the fill/bucket tools) = you loosely select an area and it fills everything that is inside your lineart. Keep in mind that you don't need to use it on the same layer as the lineart one In Filter > correct line> adjust line width. Makes your lineart thicker or thinner BUT another good use for this is that sometimes when I fill stuff in with the enclose and fill, it ends up a few pixels bigger or smaller than my lineart, so I can just quickly resolve that Edit> convert to drawing color - converts everything on the current layer into the color you have selected - useful for changing the color of you lineart for example Correction layers - put this bad boy on top of you drawing and you can play around with the contrast hue blah blah blah WITHOUT affecting any layer underneath. It may seem obvious for some people but I didn’t know about them for a long time T^T BIG THING: yall need to learn to use the Quick access menu. I swear to God it's so fucking useful. Basically in that lil' box you can put different tools and commands so instead of having to go looking for the adjust line width (for example) you just have all ya need in one place. (auto actions are also something like that but with multiple commands: like you can create a new layer, clip it to the layer below and set it on multiply, name this action "shadow layer" or smth like that and then Bam! From now on you can do all of these things with one click) The navigator window: so you can always see your drawing full even when you are zoomed in, on that window you also have a quick way to flip you canvas to check for mistakes, you can a also use it to zoom in and out or to move around your canvas. The selection pen and erase selection tools can also be helpful the lasso fill - combines the lasso selection and the bucket tool in one THE MULTIPLE LAYER ERASER- for when u can't find THAT ONE ANNOYING DOT
If you are ever only publishing your work online, working at 300 dpi might never be needed (though there are still some advantages). But if you think it's possible you might print hard copies someday, at 100% scale, 300dpi is minimum professional print quality. 600dpi sharpens up antialiasing (and decreases stair-stepping and pixilation if not antialiasing) especially useful in black and white work or any work with sharp edges. 600dpi also allows you to blow parts up when reusing art within your comic (for a close-up, say) as well as in larger promotional pieces like posters.

Recently, my favorite features of CSP are the vector tools and auto actions. Nowadays, I do my line art in a vector layer because it still looks hand drawn and with the vector eraser I can make quick and clean adjustments without distorting the image too much. The auto action feature is also great because it automatically do certain things for me such as adding multiple layers with pre-set blending modes and names and so much more. It saves a lot of time. My favorite use of it is automatically trimming my comic pages, especially when I have the Pro version where it doesn't have the option to multi-export my comic pages. Coloring-wise, the paint bucket tool is so diverse and makes coloring the flats very convenient and fun. One way is how you can set the bucket to close the gaps in a certain way so that it won't bleed through the places you don't want it too. So even if your line art is a little loose or has some gaps, it's convenient :D Overall, love the video and the comic page looks so good. I also downloaded the cloud brush and I love it XD
how can i love your youtube sooo much ?? your voice is so soothing and your art is so cleannn, i specially love the videos where you draw a bunch of characters and kinda explain them, so good !!!

Honestly I love everything about csp so much. I got so used to not so great free art programs that I nearly cried when I used csp for the first time and everything was so much nicer and easier and my art came out smoother and everything. You did such a cool job with this comic spread, the colors look so good, the lineart is fantastic, everything is great
Whenever I have art block, I just watch one of your videos. Something about them just gives me the motivation and inspiration to draw whatever I've been putting off, so thanks for that. And also, I think you deserve so much more appreciation. If I could subscribe more than once, I would.
I really like your art style. I would love to see an updated step-by-step video for beginners specifically on coloring comics in Clip Studio. It’s interesting to see the process but I wish there was a shorter how-to video that breaks everything down into steps and provides useful tips in a concise way. For example, it’d be useful to learn about the different layers of paint that need to be applied to give the artwork dimension, how to go about shading, how to add highlights, what type of brush is best to use during each step of coloring, how to use layer modes when coloring, and also how to utilize layers to make coloring easier and keep things organized. I’d also be interested in learning about any special tools that Clip Studio has to make coloring comics easier and how to properly make use of these tools. Anyway, thank you for sharing this video. It’s interesting to watch your process. I will rewatch this video so I can learn more from it.
Hey, thanks so much for this tutorial. I don't use Clip Studio, but just watching you go through the process made me feel like this was something I could do, too. I really love watching you color.
21:17 if you do like those other marker tools except for the overlapping there's actually an easy fix for that. If you look at the brush settings for "blending mode" you just change that to normal and they won't do that anymore
Um, thanks for the helpdul video!! It's really inspiring to see how somebody skilled is working on something really beautiful. And your voice - that's just magic. From now I'll follow your every video! Thank you a lot!
The fact that the stills aren't just stills is just...aaaaa it's so good what the heck- your art style is so inspiring too, the sort of semi-realistic with a cartoony twist is just (mwah) beautiful

i would love to see these guys on concept corner! they seem so fun and interesting. (plus i like the idea of sci-fi cowboys so much.) and I'm interested in the kind of scenarios they'd find themselves in!
Clip Studio Paint is truly an amazing program. Personally I love all the different tools it has. Especially the vector layers that work like the raster layers except editing the lines is ten times easier.
you might enjoy the vector layers for linework! they are a godsend IMO. you can adjust line width after drawing the lines, and you can erase a line up to where it intersects with another, with a single stroke! you probably already know about the vector layers, but just in case, i wanted to let you know
Alex, please don’t tease. I’m gonna need this comic in my collection. A gay sci-fi western is amazing and I will buy in a heartbeat, especially when it’s you!
You deserve a good million subs. Your art is amazing and inspiring, and your voice is awesome. You are so cool, and can’t wait for the day you reach 1mil subs!

One of my favorite brush makers is Frenden for all types of texture and he always has sales on his brushes, which believe his max pack has over 700+ now Highly recommend plus he always updates
I adore the way you explain how you change the layout! I've been really wanting to get into making comics lately but don't quite know how or where to start. I think you give really good advice though and if I do ever try my hand at making a comic I'll try to keep it in mind! I hope you have a lovely day/afternoon/night.

I just love your artstyle!!!
Whenever I have art block, I just watch one of your videos. Something about them just gives me the motivation and inspiration to draw whatever I've been putting off, so thanks for that. And also, I think you deserve so much more appreciation. If I could subscribe more than once, I would.
i love the way ABD inks! His style is something I admire greatly ✨
Every single time I watch one of your videos, I get inspired to pick up that pen again. Every. Single. Time.
Your art is so pretty and your voice is so soothing that for half an hour I forgot sadness exists.
I love your style sm. It really feels like a western style with hints of manga/anime which shows the evolution of your style
I really love watching you color.

if you do like those other marker tools except for the overlapping there's actually an easy fix for that.
I don't know how to stress to you how much I love your art
The fact that the stills aren't just stills is just...aaaaa it's so good what the heck- your art style is so inspiring too, the sort of semi-realistic with a cartoony twist is just (mwah) beautiful
hey Alex, really love the vids, you have always been a big inspiration for me, so thank you for everything you do and the amazing art you produce with your pure talent! I always love when you put little art tips or useful sites or programs in the vids, they really help a lot! Thank you for showing me, and im sure many others, the amazing world that is art
I'd like to see a video on how you made your speech bubbles! These wobbly but clean at the same time and that's so cool!
i would love to see these guys on concept corner! they seem so fun and interesting.
Why are all these. Characters Soo cute!!😭😭😭😭✋✋✋
I wish to see more of that cute little green boi- he is too damn cute
you might enjoy the vector layers for linework! they are a godsend IMO. you can adjust line width after drawing the lines, and you can erase a line up to where it intersects with another, with a single stroke! you probably already know about the vector layers, but just in case, i wanted to let you know
I really love your comic/manga redraws. You can learn so much from it and I am a total fan of the sketch/layout phases in such projects 🥰 thank you
Alex, please don’t tease.
Yesss!! I look forward to these videos so much your art makes me so happy lol
YESSSSS PERFECT TIMING! I'VE BEEN FEELING STRESSED AND LIKE ABSOLUTE CRAP SO THIS IS VERY COMFORTING TO WATCH A NEW VIDEO OF YOURS! THIS IS SO COOL!
Your artwork is very pleasant to look at, and its quite nice to be able to watch you draw. So thank you for making this video!
I don't really do comics or colour, but those hands really helped me a lot, holy moly!
Came back to comment about how much I Loooove this new page. It's so lovely and all the colors are gorgeous!
One of my favorite brush makers is Frenden for all types of texture and he always has sales on his brushes, which believe his max pack has over 700+ now
Highly recommend plus he always updates
I adore the way you explain how you change the layout! I've been really wanting to get into making comics lately but don't quite know how or where to start. I think you give really good advice though and if I do ever try my hand at making a comic I'll try to keep it in mind!
I hope you have a lovely day/afternoon/night.
2:42 I freaking love this quote
Oh man your style is stunning! The whole page turned out beautiful
west has such a soft vibe i love them
Wow you really are a lifesaver, I've been planning a comic myself for a while now and then you drop this video perfectly in time to keep artblock away with all the inspiration so like thanks for keeping me productive! And also as a side note your character design videos are super helpful too
I've been bingeing your videos for a few days now, great upload timing!!
