    My personal tip for fish eye is to actually just sketch out your drawing with regular perspectives, then apply fish eye filter on top of the sketch and finish the line art+colouring after that.

    My issue with CSP 2.0 is that as great as these features are, I already paid tons of money for CSP EX. Not to mention the update pass costing money too and stuff, not being able to have a one time purchase is awful because you can't guarantee how much of your income each month will be able to go to the program anyway. Plus paying for an update is ridiculous. With the price of basic things people need to survive going up lately, it's just not worth paying that much money for some more features in an art program you already paid hundreds of dollars for.

    • @arnaudbacchelli8864
      @arnaudbacchelli8864 Год назад +2

      Subscription has its advantages. It’s more accessible financially, if you want to use a different software in 8 months you can cancel, and the editor gets more regular money to upgrade and update the software. Overall the subscription made software much more accessible. But I understand it feels a bit frustrating. Just remember that « life time » version for a software can’t really be true.

    • @JoyceW-Art
      @JoyceW-Art Год назад +17

      You can update to 2.0 with a one-time payment, it's even free if you bought CSP in 2022. But all the updates between 2.0 and 3.0 aren't included, you would need to update to 3.0 to get those. With the subscription you get the in-between updates as well
      So it's kinda like this; either pay once for 2.0 and don't get updates till you buy 3.0
      Or get updates in-between with a subscription

    • @demikus
      @demikus Год назад +20

      @@arnaudbacchelli8864 Yea they didn't do a great job of advertising what they were actually doing. They plan on Major revision numbers 2.0, 3.0, etc, to be available for perpetual purchase, and to help support them in between you can basically gain early access to feature updates between the major revisions by paying a monthly or yearly sub. You will still get Stability updates if you purchased the perpetual license to 2.0 without any sub.
      Side note, their roadmap has 3.0 slated for some time in 2024, so you just would go without feature updates for a year if you plan on upgrading to 3.0 perpetual.

    That shading feature is so damn cool. I often have zero idea where to start when it comes to shading and just sort of end up muddling through. Some of these features are going to be really helpful; especially since I'm working on this novel solo (as most of you are probably doing too).
    Can't wait to see what other features they added. Clip already had a ridiculous amount of features and I know there's a lot more they added in the update that they didn't mention.

    The Align Tool alone almost makes me wanna Switch to 2.0
    But the subscription system is such a major turn-off for me, there's no way I'll give up my permanent license :')
    Edit: Apparently, if you got the 1.0 permanent license you can also get the 2.0 Upgrade permanently! (At least right now)

    I love the new head model feature but there is still no ability to attach two models together so they can be moved and posed at the same time. Kinnda makes it difficult to use imo.

    I wish there was a way to lock certain parts of a 3D model so you can move everything else without having to readjust and make corrections or even save/register a camera's angle and zoom so that you can go back to it after rotating the camera to make pose adjustments. I often find that I figure out an angle I really like, notice something I need to change but need to move the camera to make said change, and can't get the exactly perfect camera angle/position again. I'd love to register a camera angle for the folder that I can just reset it to after making such changes!
    I know you can move some parts without it effecting other parts depending on what it is, but I'm specifically referring to a feature of locking a part in space like they're holding onto a pole while being pulled away by a tornado or something. I feel like I soend more time adjusting a model for references than if I were to draw a pose from scratch, so I don't often use it, but these new 3D features might make me reconsider. I'm especially excited for the liquify tool! The mesh tool is nice, but there are situations where liquify would be more applicable and I'm looking forward to using it!

    one problem I see with giving the model its own eyes is people might use that way to often. suddenly more artists using Clip will draw characters with similar looking eyes dispite your style. I hope this wont be the case, but things tend to lean that way the more a program holds your hand through things. I still love clips studio though, its in program pose models helped me through lots of troubles when it came to proportions and foreshortening challenges, but one thing I always keep in mind is never draw exactly to the body, its a guide, not something to trace exactly.
