This is amazing way, one thing I would do though (apology if it was mentioned, but I am currently a little short on time so can't watch in full) is to trace over the 3D backgrounds and stuff, just to make them consistent with the rest of your art which may have different kind of shading or be more/less detailed. This also allows you to change some details about it, such as e.g. the floor pattern, what's on the shelves/counters, or the colors that you wouldn't normally be able to had you just plopped the 3d model in.
Such a great video with clear instructions! I've tried following others but I always get confused so thank you! Please make a video of your coloring process when you can!!

When I first started using CSP I couldn't find a lot of models either, but checking the asset store frequently has led me to finding really cool assets :) I recommend searching for different words for the thing you are trying to find as sometimes people will name something differently! for example, if you are searching for a couch (only 80~ materials last time I checked) try searching for sofa (over 400 materials). Also on the asset store homepage when you scroll down you can see the top free and top paid materials for that week and that's an awesome place to find popular assets. Hope that helps!!

Was the thing you converted a 3d object? If it was then there's two things it could be, either your canvas size was too small/you made the 3d object too small, but if that's not the issue and the lines are just really pixeled, go to filter > blur > smoothing
Do you know if there is a way to turn line art like this into a ruler so that you can manually add line weight variation afterword? Thanks! Great video!
so you can manually add line weight variation to vector layers actually! when you convert to lines, on the screen, there is an option on the left to convert it to a vector layer. I haven't tried it yet so I don't know what it looks like (I just use a raster layer and kinda draw over my lines) but if you try that and it looks good in a vector layer, you can use the 'adjust line width' tool under the correct line settings to vary your line weight!
@@salem7622 Aw sweet unfortunately I wasn’t even able to make line art from an image or 3D object because I think it’s only a feature of the subscription version. But thanks for letting me know in case I choose to upgrade
if you click the wrench icon after you insert a 3d object you can change the camera angles under the camera tab! if you're on your computer you can use the mouse wheel to scroll & click (uncheck link camera advancing in the wrench settings) and if you're using an ipad you have to use the first three camera options above the 3d object
I mean you can draw it too, using perspective to draw objects is not that hard. The only use I can see for this would be tracking where characters are but that too can be done by drawing an isometric view.

Hi🙂 a question. Is It possibile to reduce all the objects scale while using 3D? I mean, if i make a room, for example, and select every object and then i reduce their dimensions, they all reduce by their axes and i lose the distance i set between the objects, so my question is: "there's a way to just reduce or increase the scale of the entire scene while using 3D layer?
wait are you asking if you can select all the 3d objects and reduce all of them at the same time, or are you asking me if there's a way to reduce all objects AND keep the distance between objects? I don't think you can reduce the size and keep the distance but you can reduce them all at the same time! if reducing them all at the same time was your question lmk if you use a computer or tablet/ipad and I can let you know how to do it 🙂
@@salem7622 my question was about reduce the entire scene, like we can do with an image material, for example. Basically Is reduce all objects and keep the distance between them.
my laptop would fart if I try to work on more than two 3d objects, let alone convert to lines and tones. Also I heard converting lines and tones is available only on the ex version. is it available on pro too ? (sorry about my eng, im still learning)
Oh my god haha no my laptop would be huffing and puffing too whenever I used 3d assets, I switched my mac to bootcamp/windows and I haven't had problems since 🤩and yes it's only available in ex right now!

What version do you have? I'm not 100% sure but I think that the Clip Studio Pro version doesn't have the feature, only EX 😖buttt I just remembered this asset I found, I haven't tested it myself but it has a lot of downloads so it's worth a shot trying!! assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1805281
@@salem7622 Thank you Salem! Your hunch was right; you can only convert 3D to line art in the EX version. I currently have the pro free trail and will hopefully upgrade soon.
@@angelbonser4909 Glad it’s figured out! and the EX version is definitely really useful for comics and sometimes they’ll run discounts so hopefully one comes soon bc i currently have the monthly subscription and i want to buy the one time purchase version lmao 🤞
I tried the asset that the uploader pinned and it does work. All you have to do is select the layer you want to extract the line and then the line extraction asset that you downloaded should be in the auto action panel. Then just double click the first japanese thingy box (idk what that is, I just clicked lol), then a window will appear that says convert layer and just click OK. A numerous windows will appear after that but just click okay (sometimes it would overdo the whole thing after everything is done but just undo it so you could get the extracted line) and voila, the line is finally extracted. Let me know if it worked :)

Basically Is reduce all objects and keep the distance between them.
say could you tell me how to rotate all of my objects at once when i'm trying to put a scene together?
If you're on a computer you can hold down shift then right click on all the objects you want to rotate and then it should allow you to do so!
Very helpful! Thank you.
my laptop would fart if I try to work on more than two 3d objects, let alone convert to lines and tones.
@@salem7622 thank you for letting me know :)
This was so helpful! Thank you.
no problem :)
Awesome! Thankyou.
Great tutorial, thank you!
Necesito ayuda, a mí no me aparece la opción de convertir a líneas, solo me aparece hasta convertir capa 😭
Que hago ahí?
So basically colouring is different steps. The 3d modeling just to get outline.
Am i on the right direction.
Yes pretty much! I def should have included the coloring but I didn't want to make this vid too long 😅 I will make a coloring video eventually but I posted a tips on the CSP website maybe it could be helpful for now tips.clip-studio.com/en-us/articles/6337
This was an amazing tutorial
Super helpful! Thank you! ❤️
Really cool video. I was looking for one like this forever, but I'm glad to finally find yours. Can you do another, but for outside enviornments?
I actually did one in my newest vid!
@@salem7622 I noticed! I recommended your video to my aunt since I found it so helpful. I hope you make more like this one!
@@luckyducky7819 aw that's so sweet omg I hope it was helpful for her!
I finally got my 3D space the way I want but when I clicked layer; lines and tones were not listed. I also tried right clicking on the layer and starting over with a simple sphere. If anyone knows another way to convert 3D objects to line art, please PLEASE let me know! Thank you in advance!
@@Gmp_98 Thank you Gwen! It did work! Probably because converting 3D objects to line work is only available in the EX version and I just upgraded. XD It's so nice to know there is a supportive community of people like you and Salem!!
