I hope more people see this because it's really encouraging for those who want to start webcomics :D
I appreciate that :D I thought making a webcomic was super hard and that stopped me from getting started but I highly encourage everyone to just get started because you learn so much as you go and it's actually much easier than you think! (well sometimes not always 😅)
This is really good info.
Thanks for doing the time-lapse. It's good to see how easy it is to do this.
Wow this is so helpful! Didn’t even know these things are possible. Thanks for the info!
you have no idea how much youve helped me with this
thank u so much, i found ur channel a hour ago lol i hope u keep uploading more amzaing videos. u really explained in a easy way. thx
I believe it's a subscription model on mobile only. It can be bought outright with infinite updates on desktops. Awesome job.
I'm so thankful for this tutorial! creating comics, manga or webtoons are sooo time consuming that it appears almost impossible to do it regularly while having to maintain a full-time job, but using this method will at the very least cut about 3/4 out of the time that it takes to create a manuscript, Thank you!!
Tsm!! This is still very useful!
girl, you are life savior, thank you so much ❤❤❤
this was extremely helpful thank you
So helpful! ❤
Super helpful! Thank you! ❤️
I just found this and I'm super bummed you haven't made any more tutorials or follow-ups. This was so simple and direct, and I'd love more content like this about how to use other CLIP features. I'm trying to transition after nearly 20 years using Photoshop and it hasn't been easy for me.
Thank you!! I'm always worried I might be overexplaining lolol but I really want to make things as easy to follow as possible! I do want to make tutorials, I'm not the best at art or CSP by any means but there are sooo many tips and things I've learned so I'd love to make a vid and share that
This helped a ton. Thank you!
15 min saved hours of working !! thanks so much ^_^
This video was really helpful!!! thanksss
I'm SO grateful you made this video! 🙏 It's incredibly helpful! You showed everything I needed to know in a clear concise way and I'm just so happy to finally understand and have amazing backgrounds. Thank you!
🙌so glad it was helpful for you!! 🙏
THIS WAS SUPER HELPFUL! I would be rly thankful if u could upload the coloring process as well since i ususlly struggle with that!
Thanks, I was looking for a similar video! Can't wait to put it into practice! :D
Glad it was helpful!
Omg you explained so many functions I didn't even know existed in clip studio! Thank you so much this will really help me save a lot of time for my webtoon backgrounds!!
yay I'm glad! 💖
Great video! Thank you so much!
awesome saved me a lot of work.
Great!
OMG I am so glad I came across your video. I have been watching others on this topic but they were so confusing for me and I got lost very easily. But your's was SO helpful! Thank you so much!
wooo i'm glad it was easy to understand!!
Thank you! super duper ultra mega useful!
Very helpful! Thank you.
Great tutorial, thank you!
Thank you for the video!!!!
OMG FINALLY!!! LIFE SAVER!!! I was drawing my backgrounds which i hate doing and this will make me work faster and update quicker!!! Thank you so much for showing this. I bought CS a year ago and never used it yet. Now I can finally focus on only the characters. *sniff sniff*
YAYYYY IM SO GLAD THIS WAS HELPFUL!!! YESS GO FOCUS ON UR CHARACTERS THOSE ARE MOST IMPORTANT 🤗
The best video I've seen to see how that works. You are awesome! Thank you!
Appreciate it that means a lot!
Backgrounds are the part I struggle with most, thank you so much for this video!
Glad it was helpful!
Omg this is exactly what i was looking for 🙏🙏 THANK U SM this was an amazingggg tutorial
Glad it was helpful!🫶🫶
I am soooo excited to try this, I am coming from decent photoshop and minimal blender experience and felt pretty intimidated by having to either re-draw full backgrounds on every panel or having to make my 3d assets on my own. This is a true art hack, im so hyped I can actually make my story quick and easy, thank you for the tutorial! And btw, over explaining is better than under explaining so dont feel self-conscious about it, it was very very helpful!
yay, glad I could make it easier for you!
New subscriber here i love artist like you who really wants to help other artist whom who are starting out.❤❤
Thank You so much for this!!!
glad it was helpful!!
This is so great tutorial and very easy to follow not like other videos I watched😭✨ very helpful 🤧 thank you so much! Wish we could have more videos to watch from you ❣️💖
TYSMMMM THIS MEANS A LOT 😭❤🙏I will make more tutorials in the future!
Such a great video with clear instructions! I've tried following others but I always get confused so thank you! Please make a video of your coloring process when you can!!
so glad you found it helpful!
This was so helpful! Thank you.
no problem :)
I loved it
I would have liked very much to see how you painted it
I learned a lot thanks
Thank this was very helpful
Awesome! Thankyou.
This was an amazing tutorial
I love the simple style of your presentation... keep it up... you have a nice way of teaching.... and I should know I have been a professor for 30 years !!
Thank you this is so nice I'm happy you like my way of teaching
Thank you for this.. I'm planning on making my own background for my webtoon. And this is the most helpful vid I have watched so far. Thank you for making this video!!
glad it was helpful and good luck!!!
Omg the pain of like linearting those was such a hassle thankyouuu🥺😳
Never have across my mind to "setup everything with free assets" , i forgor lol. Thankyou for the enlightenment 😂🙏
That's great. I started creating my own webtoon and i really need extra help with background
This is amazing way, one thing I would do though (apology if it was mentioned, but I am currently a little short on time so can't watch in full) is to trace over the 3D backgrounds and stuff, just to make them consistent with the rest of your art which may have different kind of shading or be more/less detailed. This also allows you to change some details about it, such as e.g. the floor pattern, what's on the shelves/counters, or the colors that you wouldn't normally be able to had you just plopped the 3d model in.
Clip Studio Paint DOES have a 3 month free trial, but the full program is a one-time purchase, not a monthly subscription like Photoshop, unless you're on mobile. Otherwise, great video!
Oh okay thanks for letting me know! 😊
@@salem7622 no problem! I know there's been a lot of confusion with pricing, registration, and other things with the program, so I just wanted to help. 🙂
Indeed, if you buy a Wacom, for example, some of them come with a full program license. Pure joy! 🤩
This aged like Milk
@@justowenya2005 nope, it's still perpetual license like before, the new subscription method differ vastly from the one Adobe photoshop use, in photoshop you need to pay every month to be able to draw in photoshop if your subscription expired photoshop will not open or work for you.
csp new subscription method is different that's limits your access to updates only, while the program will work for you forever unlike photoshop.
OMG yes, this is awesome!!! thank you so much!!
omg thank you i appreciate it
@@salem7622 So would I ! I have a hard time making backgrounds for my Webtoon, so an additional color tutorial would be even more amazing!! Thank you!
@@angelbonser4909 Sure I can make one!!:) I think I might start a tik tok and post webtoon and clip studio tips on there since It'll be easier for me to make a lot more videos on there!
U HELP ME SO MUCHHH ISTG I LOVE U
GLAD I COULD HELP
Fantastic! This is awesome! I've been trying to do something like this but can never find the right assets. Maybe I haven't been looking good enough or I lack creativity 😅
Don't worry I'm sure its not a lack of creativity!! When I first started using CSP I couldn't find a lot of models either, but checking the asset store frequently has led me to finding really cool assets :) I recommend searching for different words for the thing you are trying to find as sometimes people will name something differently! for example, if you are searching for a couch (only 80~ materials last time I checked) try searching for sofa (over 400 materials). Also on the asset store homepage when you scroll down you can see the top free and top paid materials for that week and that's an awesome place to find popular assets. Hope that helps!!
That's pretty dope, reminds me of SketchUp
thank you, this was a very helpful video!
REALLLYYY LMAO I love that small world!! I was actually going to use it for one chapter but never got around to it
please share the coloring video! thank you so much for your tutorials
Thank you senpai
can you make coloring tutorials please? i'm so in loved with your videos!!
Thank you so much! This is really helping! I haven't had a tablet yet. But, I'm still learning. Thank you! Thank you!😆😄😊
Ofc np I'm glad you found it helpful!
Hi Salem! Me again. XD Just thought I'd say hi and I hope you make a coloring tutorial soon! I haven't found any coloring styles that I like as much as yours....but no pressure, this line art tutorial alone was a huge help! Hope you're having a good day!!
HEYYYY I remember you omg how have you been!! I just started a new job and once I adjust I'll have way more free time so I'll make it then just for you 💪💕
Thank you for this
great tutorial hoping for more tutorials from you
thank you i’m glad it was helpful :D
Thank you! I kept drawing my own backgrounds but it takes so long. I also didn't know I could use the assets for my comic. I knew there were some free ones but I just didn't think it would be allowed for a comic XD
Yesss a lot of people use assets for their comics! Or they hire someone to draw backgrounds. Finding time saving things like these are so essential if you don't want too overwork yourself imo!!
omg tyyyyyy interior design god
thank U i try I think that's really my calling 😫🙏💯
Awesome video! Can the assets be used in any other platforms? ❤️🇦🇺
*** NOTICE*** I didn’t realize at the time of making the video that this is a Clip Studio Paint EX only feature it’s not available on the PRO version. (Sorry about that I’ve only ever used EX 😅) BUT here is an asset with a lot of downloads that seems to do the same thing for people with the Pro version! If this works well for anyone lmk so I can add it to the description😊 assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail?id=1805281
EDIT 6/26 ABOUT COLORING: I forgot to add that I made this bg coloring tutorial for Clip studio monthly tips, I wanted to make a video with it but I didn't have time 😢but let me know if I should still make a coloring video (actually i probably still will make a vid lmao but still lmk) but in the meantime I hope this is still super helpful for anyone! tips.clip-studio.com/en-us/articles/6337
the assets? I have a Pro version and you can find clip studio assets option right there.
Please make more tutorials. I can't find good ones like this one. I totally subscribed incase you do. No pressure if you dont want to
I hope you come back soon. I enjoyed the video and would love to see how you color your backgrounds.
that's really helpful!
thank you so much, plus, what's your comic name, or link, wanna read it
I know some people call this technique 'cheating', but who cares? I delayed my comic for a lifetime because I always sucked drawing backgrounds. 'Cheating' or not, is a life saver. Thank you so much for this video! 🤗
Exactly!!! people that call this cheating have no idea how much time goes into creating a webtoon, bc i'm not spending hours drawing a background when I would rather put that time into characters & plot
@@salem7622 amen to it, dear! ❤The fans doesn't like to wait that much when you have a webtoon flow to feed, LOL
It's called efficiency. There is a reason comic books have pencilers, inkers,
thank you
Tysm
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a beginner on clip studio but this is a life safer, eh? I was struggling with the perspective tool in clip studio. Thank you so much for this video.
Glad I could help!!! 😀
Is that the same Software that Seontae Hwang use ? Thanks for the Video :)
Really cool video. I was looking for one like this forever, but I'm glad to finally find yours. Can you do another, but for outside enviornments?
I actually did one in my newest vid!
@@salem7622 I noticed! I recommended your video to my aunt since I found it so helpful. I hope you make more like this one!
@@luckyducky7819 aw that's so sweet omg I hope it was helpful for her!
👍❤🕊
Hello! I wonder how did you make the floor motive
help im new in this clip studis, I cant seem to find how to turn on floor like grid anywhere, and i cant move my camera, i already have nice table 3d model with some fance laptop on it now i want to change angle, i cant move my camera, how to change my perspective without moving each models every damn time?
i would love to see you color it thank you so much this helped.
you also explained it really well and clearly without skipping steps and i appreciate you!!!
late reply but I did in my newest video!
Can you show a video where you coloured it ❤
I'd like to see you color it.
csp is one time pay for pcs, the subcription is for mobiles only. and updating is free for 3 years on the pc versions
Plz How did you color it?
why is it that everytime I try to convert lines and tones it turns really fuzzy and black? And i tried to follow your thing. And how can I save a file without it telling me to pay?
Thanks sm! Also what's the name of ur webtoon I'd love to read it!!!! :)
Tnx very much. Do u have video about your shading?
Not yet but I'm planning to make one!😄
Anyone can help me out on why the rotation tool doesnt pop up for me?, at minute 5:07 she clics on the object and the wheel handle pop up to manupulate the object, that doesn't happen in mine? I wonder if its the object I'm using? Im using "train interior V2" from the asset library and CSP v2.0.6
Can i use it for animation?
Web toon is cool
I think you should get more subscribers
why is it that every time I try to convert to lines and tones it becomes really black and I follow ur thing but turns fuzzy and weird
I think you can also purchase it outright for ur pc
I didn't find this option though... my subscription is annual on galaxy. Maybe that's why?
Thank you Salem. I'm curious if you know how to adjust the camera's focal length?
NM... found the perspective slider in the tool property palette, which appears to be what is intended to work like focal length (sans lens distortion... boo).
Really helpful! But i am interested how to male floor?
The floor is a 3d asset! I just put it in after
How do you move your camera to change the angle? I only managed to move the camera of the models
if you click the wrench icon after you insert a 3d object you can change the camera angles under the camera tab! if you're on your computer you can use the mouse wheel to scroll & click (uncheck link camera advancing in the wrench settings) and if you're using an ipad you have to use the first three camera options above the 3d object
Great tutorial
But I have problem maybe I wanna help..
I tried but the line was not actually line in my work
It's like big pixel line, not smooth at all
I wonder why
Was the thing you converted a 3d object? If it was then there's two things it could be, either your canvas size was too small/you made the 3d object too small, but if that's not the issue and the lines are just really pixeled, go to filter > blur > smoothing
Necesito ayuda, a mí no me aparece la opción de convertir a líneas, solo me aparece hasta convertir capa 😭
Que hago ahí?
Thank you so much! I have a question though how do you add texture to the floor si it’s not just blank?
The floor texture is an asset! It's a bit more tricky to get it angled correctly but if you look up flooring on the asset store there are a bunch of free ones you can use!
@@salem7622 thanks!
my laptop would fart if I try to work on more than two 3d objects, let alone convert to lines and tones. Also I heard converting lines and tones is available only on the ex version. is it available on pro too ?
(sorry about my eng, im still learning)
Oh my god haha no my laptop would be huffing and puffing too whenever I used 3d assets, I switched my mac to bootcamp/windows and I haven't had problems since 🤩and yes it's only available in ex right now!
@@salem7622 thank you for letting me know :)
9:30 Is the lighting source feature part of EX ver, or can PRO version use that too?
It's available on pro as well
So after coloring do you just save it as an image and import it to the panel you need?
yes so I'll usually copy the line art layer and add it directly into the panel and then color!
