Other than the INT, Rivers played out of his MIND in this game. He was the only reason they were even in this. KILLER drops from his receivers. Special teams miscues. Dumb penalties.
melvin gordon had a damn good game as well.

Mahomes' rise has been really impressive. To throw 50 td's in his first full season as a starter is incredible.

@@xxshrimptacoxx5720 Dumb comment. Mahomes had quite a number of "checkdowns" in 2021. Brady has led the league in total air yards the past two seasons combined. He also has the most 20+ yard completions since 2019.
Mahomes has benefited heavily from YAC throughout his career, especially this past season. Not taking anything away from him, though. He has still very clearly been an effective downfield passer.
But anyone who calls Brady "the checkdown king" or whatever is regurgitating a myth unsupported by statistics.

I don't mind Brady's style, but Mahomes definitely more fun to watch.

I’m a lifelong Chiefs fan so this is obviously a big moment in our franchise’s history. However, watching the highlights today, I’m taken aback by how great Phillip Rivers played in this game. His receivers dropped 4 touchdowns and tipped a ball up for an interception. Rivers was forced to rely heavily on is running backs. Then there’s Keenan Allen dancing in the end zone down 3 scores late in the game… classy as ever Keenan…

Every time the game shows a play on special teams and it’s the Chargers, you know something bad/hilarious is going to happen to LA.
