Ok guys I have someone for you, listen to Floor Jensen of Nightwish and her performances on the program Beste Zengers, Phantom of the Opera! One if not the best singer in the world today!
He was definitely an especially talented singer, but I wouldn't kid yourself about singers today lacking talent. That's an easy conclusion to reach just listening to a radio station because all of that is indeed quite processed, but who listens to a radio anymore? There are plenty of talented artists out there that are easy to reach directly without having to endure the filter of the corporate world. Might as well be sitting in front of a TV tuned to a channel with only advertisements playing all day. Find yourself a streaming service, pick something you like, and search for anything else like it. You'll have more content than you can ever consume and you can decide the quality for yourself.
@Blackhole That's patently ridiculous, as many thousands of talented singers have performed live long before and after this man. You can and should value all talented singers. Who cares when or how? This tired idea that somehow the advancement of time is synonymous with the degradation of anything, including singing ability, is something every aging person ever has experienced. It's called declinism, and you should let it go.
Running around the same age group here, I don’t remember the women having quite the same reaction then but close. Plus our speakers weren’t as good then. Funny how the Righteous Brothers were considered Rock and Roll back then. Don’t forget Elvis either. Yeah we had some great music in the “ Old Days “ . Haven’t been able to really dance with a girl to good music for a long time. Just my opinion of course.

It is believed that the legendary singer "Bobby Hatfield" did in fact bite his bottom lip, due to the fact that both his parents were in the audience, watching him sing. Apparently, he was shaking with nerves because Bobby had noticed them and didn't want to mess it up, which of course he didn't. With nerves of steel, he calmly walked out, held the mic and just sang, no auto-tune, no gimmicks, no effects, just him and his smooth soulful voice. This was a period in time when singers had talent and didn't rely on gimmicks or electronic mixing to produce their vocal quality. They had it or they didn't make it.
Now...when will the old folks start appreciating some of the good new music being created these days? Please don’t get me wrong, most new music is crap but so is most of the old stuff. For every great song or album there are hundreds of throwaways, then and now. It is out there but lazy people always resort to the same tired old statements about how “new music is terrible”, “back in my day”, etc... Pick a genre, any genre, and the good stuff is still being written, recorded, and even played live with “real instruments”. The day you stop finding new music to enjoy is the day you stop living and start dying.

This song was meant for them it will never be surpassed most beautiful song it will live forever. No computers no big sound equipment just beautiful voices and a great orchestra
One of the worlds greatest voices of all time , so gifted. Left this world to soon.❤️🌹
It’s always fun seeing women listen to one of the greatest love songs of all time sang by one of the greatest singers of all time. Yep, it’s legendary and no most modern love songs don’t even live on its shadow. Glad you enjoyed.
This was a period in time when singers had talent and didn't rely on gimmicks or electronic mixing to produce their vocal quality. They had it or they didn't make it.
I love seeing young women absolutely melt, like I did the first time I heard Bobby sing❣️
Many women have melted to bobby singing this song lol even so many years later too.
Living proof that MUSIC IS THE INTERNATIONAL language of PEACE. Rest In Peace Bobby Hatfield. Your music from my youth last my lifetime.
my first time hearing this song was in 2006 i was 16 yrs old and ive been a fan ever since love the righteous brothers
I love it when the young discover older music and how good some of it really is - real musicians playing real instruments and real singers.
So good to see you young ones appreciating this. Not only one of the best pop singers ever but in my mind THIS IS the best pop song EVER .
love it - the fact that you can’t get the right words sums up how awesome it is
The most incredibly beautiful love song ever! Bar none.........
I was lucky enough to see a live taping of Shindig in 1965 or 1966 on ABC here in Los Angeles. The Righteous Brothers were on the show. They were great!!!I was 12 years old.
Beautiful Bobby Hatfield , this song he made his own , solo sublime !Bill Medley was the the other brother (by choice not by blood) was equally talented. No autotune just talent & god gifted voice. RIP Bobby , concerts are done in heaven now 😘
Yayy...so glad you got to this Classic beautiful song. Love it. This song belongs to him and him alone. 💖💯🔥
Ever hear Elvis sing it?
Yes and it's not as good as this. I think I will not be alone in saying that.
@@deen261 Elvis's cover of EVERY song including this was better. My Way, Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Okay...Goodnight
@@deen261 I totally agree with you.. This is 100% Bobby Hatfield's song..NO one can sing this beautiful ballad better..Bobby's unbelieveable range, control, and ease of singing..no straining or sweating...just pure silk..voice like velvet.
He also covers "You'll Never Walk Alone", My Prayer", "I Believe ", and " For Sentimental Reasons" with the same inimitable style..He was so underappreciated ..In my opinion, one of the greatest voices ever..
I've heard this song a million times and I STILL get the chills. Amazing reaction. Loved it
I'm a 53 year old man, but this song is so beautiful, it will bring a tear to my eye!
I got to see them live in the 1966. I'm 75 and it is still my all time favorite. Funny story In 1969 I listened to that song on a cassette while I drove to Mexico and ended up getting married t midnight in a jail in Mexico. Thnks for playing it for me.
She could NOT handle the bite lip at the end 😂
That voice of his, can sing in the Opera! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Perfect response young lady...totally genuine
This song has that effect... you are not the only one. The last young lady just said: wow :)
What expression for an reaction in your face! Bobby, you would be proud!
A beautiful lady captivated by a beautiful song. I am glad that you got to experience this musical treasure that transcends every generation.
Never fails: Bobby Hatfield's performance always produces the same reaction on cue to all the ladies!
Your expression it's worth a thousand words. His singing is SPELLBOUND!
😍😍😍
This is called "Blue-eyed Soul." When you have "Soul" it doesn't matter your skin color.
So if you don't have soul, skin color matters? ;)
@@OriginalPuro Of course it matters. Like Muhammed Ali said everyone matters!
Puro just enjoy the music dude.
@@OriginalPuro Skin color matters no matter what, because skin color is tied to race which is everything.
Well said Brother
I really don't know what male singers can hit that kind of range and deliver such soul and power. Really impressive, wish I could hear this for the first time again.
Some people have it all! Looks and talent! This man melts hearts with his looks and voice. Favorite song ever.
Yes indeed, give us your response to..."You've lost that loving feeling"
That's my next video dear. Thanks
@@EMPRESSJOYJEAN be sure to be sitting down, less of a fall to the floor. lol
Another hit of theirs (they had many) is “You Are My Soul And My Heart’s Inspiration.”
You said he was so cute. I had a laugh. Cuz I was thinking you're so beautiful with a great accent. This is a great song
Bet she got goosebumps like everyone else! What a song... the melody and voice is masterful!
Bobby left you speechless. I'll take that as a big thumbs up.
BEAUTIFUL LOVING SONG IN HIS VOICE! Very moving!
All I can think of, is that this must be how the
angels sing.
"Why did he bit his lower lip?" That was a unintentional facial expression because he knew he just nailed that song. He did not sing those highs on the original studio version. Probably did not know he just did the best single love song performance ever but he knew he nailed it.
He smiled at the end and bit his lip, because his folks were in the audience and he knew he had nailed that song !!
I have tears running down my face each time I watch and listen to this.
This song may have have been cut and produced before I was born, however, a new appreciation now.
I am so happy that you were able to experience.
The most beautiful song ever!
