This girl is the best reactor ever. Look at 5:03 - 5:20. Isn't this how we all looked after hearing it for the first time? What an amazingly genuine and emotional reaction.
As the father to a talented young musician, one angle that stands out for me is the sheer human effort to put on something like this, ~75 musicians spending 20 or 30 years perfecting their craft, each one of them pushed forward by parents and dedicated music teachers in their youth. You are seeing an expression of the best of culture and human creativity
Yeah, after a lifetime of honing their skills, I'm sure it took no more than 2 days to perfect this for professionals of this caliber. You can throw nearly anything in front of these people and get close to perfect individual performances after a single play through. I played trombone through college, and there were amazing players themselves who weren't nearly this level.
@@Christobanistan that is a dumb way to look at it, it takes years to get that good to pick up these pieces quickly. With a professional orchistra those particular people have literally invested their lives in their craft, they are the best at what they do
The "Wah, wah" part is the lady singing AND a harmonica player playing the same notes. It's not just her. You REALLY need to watch the movie to appreciate just how awesome this performance is.
"Makes me proud to be Danish." As it should. As it really, really should. Awesome performance. All I can say as an Italian American is that it was written by an Italian, Ennio Morricone. He died some months ago. I hope, hope, hope that he was able to hear this rendition before he passed on. It is the best expression of his composition, and totally worthy of praise in and of itself.
It's always really fascinating, when people are reacting to music from a time, when there was no autotune or a computer for composing and everything you hear was made by hand or in such a case by vocal talents all coming from someone's mind and imagination. R.I.P. Ennio Morricone
This music is designed to evoke emotions. Every person there has practiced for years to be exceptional at what they do. I feel they have all gotten together to give us mere mortals a wonderful gift
one of my favorite spaghetti westerns ever.......sergio leone knew exactly how to get people to fall in love with the movie and music together.....dont forget clint eastwood, lee van cliff, eli wallach the cast of the movie....thankyou once again.
How does anyone conceive anything like this,.....How do you put this together....it is unbelievable ....This is marvelous......Empress you are also one of my favorite reactor
The dark haired lady who is doing the sound effects early in the clip is Tuva Semmingsen. She speaks, I believe 7 languages and has a BEAUTIFUL voice! The blond haired lady is Christine Nonbo Andersen and does sing opera when she isn't making movie themes sound like opera. Check the both out.
I've seen the movie quite a few times, and heard the song probably a million times, but I've never seen it done live. That was absolutely amazingly wonderful!! All that talent and skill in one room, amazingly wonderful!!
Ennio Morricone!!! The sound of spaghetti westerns - amazing compositions. Iconic. I still have these soundtracks on vinyl that used to be my dad's. This really brings back memories.
On top of the musicians and singers, the photography director, the camera operators, the sound people and the film editors are to be highly praised also.
The music score is from the western movie "THE GOOD THE BAD AND THE UGLY and if you watch the movie and you should, the music makes total sense and captures the feeling of the times , a struggle of hard men trying to make their fortune during the Brutal American civil war the movie was way ahead of its time and this score written by Ennio Morricone is a movie legend watch the movie Empress
You know by now it is a cover of a movie soundtrack. And when you said that it is amazing what people can do with music, consider this perspective. Ennio Morricone was contracted to make this soundtrack, and at some point, sitting in complete silence, in his mind, he heard THIS. It blows me away. Great reaction, subscribing now.
I am Italian, grown up with this music....i have listened to Morricone' soundtrack a 50000 times...every time the same emotions! If you want to go to Heaven try " Gabriel's oboe" from Mission.
"The Beauty of music just makes me want to cry!" - well said, it's such a powerful thing the right song or tune can touch your soul. You can see by your reaction the heavy breathing, the look on your face says it all, you have so much emotion in your videos, a nice soul you have x
Brilliant, creative and masterful! And to think the artful expression in the movie trilogy and fine actors take it to another dramatic level. This is greatness.
An incredibly beautiful performance, showcasing not just musical beauty but the corresponding visual beauty that would be hidden from our eyes but for the expert timely movement of the camera to repeatedly answer the question, "Where is this transcendent sound coming from?" How much we would never know otherwise! Both listening and watching, we experience the emotional roller coaster of an entire three-hour movie in just six minutes. It's easy to be brought to tears.
It is best western soundtrack for the The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. You should watch it and if you do get plenty to drink and eat as it is about 4 hours long (uncut version).

One of the best comments I've ever read about this particular performance really highlights how small a world we live in: A Japanese conductor leading a Danish symphony orchestra playing music written by an Italian composer for a movie funded by Germans, filmed in Spain, about the American Wild West.
The song is “The Ecstasy of Gold” the theme to “The Good the Bad and the Ugly” This is the best recording I have heard of this. Please listen to Gordon Lightfoot “The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald” it is based on real events.

Ok, these musicians are all top shelf talents. Lets' give a little love and respect to this incredible conductor, Sarah Hicks! Sarah is an American, principal conductor of the Minnesota Orchestra, gradate from Harvard Magna Cum Laud with a BA in music composition and is a highly sought after "guest conductor" as she is here. She then spent hours upon hours studying and dissecting the score, making notes then rehearsing the orchestra to achieve her vision of the music, then leading them to this incredible outcome! Ennio Morricone was a musical GENIUS....
Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Jerry Garcia level of genius.
He, an Italian, captured the American Wild West better than any American Composer ever could.
