ABBA are the all time masters of break-up songs. The band consisted of two married couples. The guy at the piano (Benny) married the brunette (Anni-Frid) and the guitarist (Björn) was married to the blonde (Agnetha).
The boys wrote the songs and the girls performed them and for decades ABBA ruled the charts as one of the most successful pop-bands ever. Neither of their marriages survived though. Going through a heartbreaking divorce Björn wrote "The winner takes it all" and Agnetha performed it standing next to him on stage. If anything, ABBA were professionals to the core. Try and listen to "Knowing me, knowing you"...

This is the most beautiful reaction to this song I have seen.
This song is an internal monologue, the things that she wants to say but won't because that would break wherever is left of her, and him, apart. The "rules" are the social norms, where the Swedes, their country, hold stoicism high. So when he comes to shake her hand, civility has replaced intimacy, and her heart still craves what they once had.
And even there, in a place where she has been so hurt, she doesn't want him to be hurt by her words or even her demeanour. This is a stage beyond intimacy, this is self sacrificing love.

      Cuz they cant...
Abba was without a "once in a life time" phenomenon.
Even if music was still based on skill and talent, they couldnt match this.
The fact that skill and talent has almost nothing to do with music anymore, anyhope of someone making something even remotely close to this is a pipe dream.
Thanks to technological advancements you dont actually need talent to be a musician these days.
As long as you get 14 year old girls soak their panties or have enough cleavage to make 14 year old boys show up even if they dont like the music, youre golden.
If you cant sing or play doesnt matter, that can be fixed in post porduction.
What you CANt fix in post production is someones face.
So... they prioritizes hot people with no talent.
This is why 50% of Paradise Hotel bimbos gets fakking record deals after the show ends.

2:49 - that's obviously a reaction to the same emotion some of us have felt. To all those of us who cried for that reason, thanks for your honest reaction.

Greetings from Sweden! I'm so glad you liked this song. :)
My mother is swedish. When I was a boy I used to go
fishing with my mom a lot, and she being a huge ABBA fan
she always played ABBA tapes in the car, so I became a
fan from an early age. This song is so beautiful and
hauntingly sad at the same time. I believe anyone can
relate to it in a personal way.

Agnetha said that this was her favourite song. And it's an autobiographic song.

Nice to see you for first time
And with your first reaction to the Swedish pop group ABBA, that leads in the 70s (the decade after BEATLES)
ABBA was an acrostic with the initials of their first names (and was two couples too):
    Agnetha (blonde singer) &
    Björn (guitarist songwriter)
    Benny (barder pianist songwriter) &
    Anni Frid (brunette singer)
    ABBA recording between 1972/1982 and
was famous to win the Eurovision Song Contest in England 1974 with your iconic song "Waterloo"
ABBA had more than 20 worldwide hits, included:
    Waterloo
    Mamma Mia
    Fernando
    Dancing Queen
    Take a chance on me
"The winner takes it all" (1980) is a Masterpiece of ABBA
And a fantasic interpretation by the lead singer, the blonde
Agnetha Fältskog, with Her emotional and powerful voice (She has a sopramo voice)
The lyrics is about a divorce story, writen by the guitarist Björn and singing by his ex wife Agnetha
It's one of the most heartbroken songs ever
It was a performing in Germany TV
The next song in this show was "Super Trouper", with lead voice by the brunette Anni Frid
would you like to react this?
    I give you the link
    ruclips.net/video/1V_CpamITxY/видео.html
    I hope to see you
with more reactions to ABBA songs
    My best regards
    Stay safe

Sweden, Sweden, Sweden, what talents you create! What is it with this little country in the North? Answer: one of their treasures is / has been that they have a natural aptitude for singing and for music in general. It is in their genes. See for example "allsång på Skansen", Stockholm, where they meet and sing together once a week in the summertime. And their people's soul goes very, very deep. ABBA was one of the very first artists to be known outside of Scandinavia. A big hug from Norway, neighbour of Sweden.

The legendary Agnetha Faltskog eventually became something of a recluse; escaping the public eye that turned ABBA into one of the biggest pop groups in the world. In their heyday they had little critical acclaim but sold by the armful. One suggestion is that the group was Sweden's second biggest export after Volvo cars!

Since you liked her voice here, do look up Abba's 1982 performance of "The Day before you came". It is very similar in theme but the impact is so much greater I think. She looks beautiful there too and, as a bonus, you also get the other lady vocalising in the chorus.
