These are fantastic videos Dennis, great work! I just hope all of this uncertainty makes it easier for me to get my palm dial. I doubt it but one can dream.
More number crunch videos please. Also the Algo is clearly rewarding you for talking about Rolex and Omega Moonswatch, other hype watches etc. Definitely interested in seeing more videos that have this appeal + algo optimization by talking about hype brands and the general market
Thank you for the feedback; I already am noting some possible watches to examine trending on. Someday I may understand the RUclips algorithm better. Rolex definitely does well (I see why so many even say "not Rolex" in their titles, I'm sure to just exploit that word!). My MoonSwatch video didn't do great though (it has less than 1000 views), perhaps because I was so late to cover it (I was on vacation when it came out). But the market trend videos do seem to fare well, perhaps it is relatively different from what everyone else is doing and thus makes for a decent niche. I find lots of elements to watch collecting interesting so my videos are just sort of all over but always happy to focus more where people are interested.
Very good point. While in the U.S. we've seen low inflation for several years there still has been some. And of course now the rate has gotten significant so the issue with Panerai is more pronounced. I don't think they know, as a company, what to do to win back enthusiasts (and maybe that isn't their goal, perhaps broadly speaking they have sold more watches lately or all those limited editions they like to do are what keeps the company going).
Interesting comparison Dennis. But as you state, six months worth of data could be inconclusive. As a creature of the sea, I fail to see the charm of Panerai myself. To be referred to as a Panerwristi. Well it sounds like some kind of weird sex fetish.
Panerai examples are interesting because they already trade significantly below retail (at least the four I grabbed). So it may be more resistant as a brand than perhaps another non-hype brand that sells second hand much closer to MSRP. Maybe.
@@WatcheswithDennis True Dennis. That could be a good thing. I know little about Panerai, but if You Tube is anything to go by, the glory days have passed. .

I've noticed that the PAM127 (Fiddy) has recently tanked. May be a great time to pick up a classic?

Panerai is a great example of how a watch brand can be hot then not.
They have really seemed to struggle lately.
When you take inflation in to account the depreciation is far more substantial.

@@WatcheswithDennis And apparently, the market is riddled with counterfeits. All the best.
It's a self defense watch: It's so obesely over-sized that you can smack someone with it.
Hey~! Pilots have options besides the-usual suspects. Looks like an instrument
