@@VirtualChap2024 I’m interested to see what’s going on and what’s coming up. Even Horizon worlds, even though I personally very rarely use it in its current form the concept is awesome. If it reaches, its actual potential of an interactive virtual world it will completely change VR. Even though that is a long ways away I like to see what they are doing to get that point and make it a reality (Ready player one-ish). Right now it’s in its Atari form on the evolution timeline.
Zuck wasted an hour to 1 1/2 of my life three years in a row, so I just bought a Pico 4 Ultra to spite him (JK it was actually for the full body tracking, slightly better hardware and piss easy sideloading - in full knowledge of the exclusives I'll miss out on)
Please, whilst you're there, ask if they will be releasing any headsets with micro oled, pancake lenses, 4K resolution per eye with 120Hz refresh (and a plug in display port capable of supporting that via PC cable) and at least 120 degrees field of view, because if so I want one! :)
@@loganpeterjones No. Resolution refers to the number of pixels which is not affected by FOV. Specifically the Quest 3S has 3.5 million pixels per eye while the Focus Vision has 6 million pixels per eye.
@@SargonDragon when the screen is bigger (I.e., the FOV is larger), this means there will be more pixels without the image being sharper. So the resolution is likely comparable to the Quest
@@loganpeterjones The term you're looking for is PPD. And the resolution of the Focus Vision is so much higher than the Quest 3S that it able to have wider FOV while still having significantly higher PPD. That is, its image is both wider and sharper.
Hopefully a reveal of the real hardware like Asus and more hardware meta horizon os upgrade hopefully a beautiful transition and hopefully they release the q3 without controllers for 350 or about that range
why would you want them to release it with out controllers? not like they cost that much to include, and asus would not be selling a system that cost lower then what the quest 3 already cost. so are you hope for price or something else?
The Vive vision also has extra sensors like eye tracking with automatik IPD adjustment, and has the capability to add face tracking with external ports. With this, the price is kinda justified, dispide the older processor 🤪. Though it probably wasn’t your intention, It’s still a bit disingenuous not to mention that man. HTC has also disclosed that this headset is more of PCVR headset. So a little wierd to compare it to the Quest 3s. Present the products properly next time.
@@Hostile-VR Games still look like from the late 90's on these shitty stand alone headsets lol You want to see proper VR? Try using a RTX 4090 with a Top end headset like the Pimax crystal. Cyberpunk 2077 in VR is amazing.

PCVR is practically dead, the industry doesn't make money on it, it only survives thanks to mods. Graphics are not everything, the most important thing is the quality of the games themselves. @@Hostile-VR For me better graphics and visuals is better immersion. Don't like the cartoon low texture baby shit. Stand alone is what is holding true VR back with its low end chips. For sure they are going to develop more games for stand alone because more people use it, dooohhh.
I somewhat agree. Quest 3 for 500 is still the better deal for what you get. 3s is def not worth upgrading for people who already have headsets, unless they only play stand alone. I guess kids will also be able to convince their parents a lot easier to upgrade. They'll regret it though because it'll be obsolete in just 2 years. It'll also be a good headset for new people who want to get into vr, but there's been no real hype around vr outside the community recently

Not really as like last year, it is more focused on MR and Horizon World :-(

If they introduce a 256gb Quest 3 model, then yeah

You've missed major elements in comparing the Quest 3S to the Vive Focus Vision. The Focus Vision has eye tracking and nearly double the resolution.
But is the double resolution just due to the wider field of view?

The reskinned Xbox headset would be the perfect opportunity to add OLED to the Q3.
Yes please!
