I'm really hoping with the updated room setup that they allow you to switch between locations. I have one location for roomscale and one location for stationary, and it's *so* annoying having to remap the roomscale location every single time I switch.

Great video My quest 3S is downloading a software update. And it's been doing it for over 3 hours. When I look at it it still says downloading update and than will shut off How long does that update take? I'm worried
I'd like to be able to control the settings for the displays like you can with a TV like Backlight, Brightness, contrast, sharpness, color I known you can adjust them slightly but you really can't notice much and doesn't give you enough control.
The feature I'm most looking forward to is transferring big files successfully. Went to the cinema to see a movie recently. Want to see it in vr at max resolution too
Button remapping!!! Custom directional input. Up and down on the 'look otate stick' does nothing, just let me map it to movement. Switching thumbsticks isnt enough. Disable menu button etc. Controller custumization in general,.

Up to 3 programs can be deatched at once where the Apple Vision Pro can do many more. 2. The mixed reality resolution is something I expected more of. The Meta Quest 3S on video looks even better than the Meta Quest 3 with the goggles on. Do you think that the quality is due to interpupilary distance and/or border drawing?
"BIG" NEW UPDATE V71 - I'm in PTC and I have it already. Can't see anything new at all. Could very well as well be still v67, couldn't tell a single difference.
the problem even with landscape recording, it cuts off a substantial amount of what your seeing and if your trying to record content, it's rough. Steam has a VR View option that doesn't cut off much if anything "both eye's right eye dominant" or visa vera but it doesn't work with Quest headsets without giving you a shadowy outline of the overlap. It works fine with the Pico headsets to those became my go to for this. It's unfortunate cause It's nice and I wish it worked with the Quest headsets.
Another Video on V71 and no mention of this from the patch notes "You’ll also be able to cast a high-quality view from your headset to your PC, if you want to capture footage or easily stream that Expert+ clear of Camellia’s Beat Sabertracks." Will this be a better casting option than casting to browser etc (which is crap)
Yeah you gotta enable it. Look in the quick settings (where the time is, and then click the gear at the top right for settings. Then go to ... Experimental I think?
@@Zzues if you go to settings and "update" on the left side. What version does it say you have? I'm on 69 and the AI option can be enabled in the Experimental section of settings. (Shrug) I do have dev mode enabled, maybe that makes a difference? I doubt it though.
I would like to be able to scan a 3d object with the headset and then beeing able to use that as a file on my computer. It has the ability to scan your surroundings so why not the abillity to scan objects and beeing able to save them.
my dark mode still has the horrible mix of colors. For some reason it has different hues of green and purple which just piss me off why cant i just get a solid grey color like the image he just showed
Take what I say with a grain of Salt because I don't have a VR headset nor have a good enough computer to go that route. I haven't even had much experience with one.(One hour on a quest 2 and never saw a headset in person again so I may not be the best person to give any opinions on the matter.) But perhaps a feature for a future update is to allow a PC VR game to borrow power (Ram and Vram at the very least) from the headset in wired mode. Either to reduce strain on the PC, make it even more approachable for even potatoes to get in on the action as long as you have a quest headset, potentially allow you get better graphics out of your games or take on more graphically demanding VR games with better ease, or even to simply make sure things run smoother on the headset itself when broadcasting the game. I just find it a bit weird that connecting the VR headset to a PC, and the two things they don't leverage is your headset's ram or it's "graphics card".
It’s better to do computation on a single device when it comes to the real-time graphics. If PC CPU or GPU will be waiting for asynchronous response from a headset, FPS will likely plummet. PCIe lines is so much faster and wider than USB. Quest 3 is not just displaying video from PC, but it also tracks your controllers and environment to send that data back to PC as soon as possible, which is still a heavy task
Man, this problem is solved, and it’s called cloud gaming) And, probably, we will see it natively for meta quests soon enough. All that you will need is four things: meta quest, subscription, fast internet and good router. No PC in this equation.
I wish this was possible, but that would require the pc to stream part of the game to the headset to render which not only would be difficult, but need a ton of bandwidth to sustain the data. You already need like 500 mbps at h.264 for best image so streaming game data is crazy hard.
They do have a solution for those who want to play PCVR but don't have a powerful enough controller. It's basically streaming. Stream from an extremely powerful computer. Much to my surprise it works well enough that people are able to play beat saber as far as the lag goes, if you have a fast enough connection that is. I know a company that has to provide that just folded... So, time will tell. It's not advertised well at all. It worked off a subscription fee. If there was only a few games you wanted to play, it was totally the way to go.

they need to make it so you can hook it to a pc with a single wire and charge it while in use were so used to technology just being able to do that its hard to accept not having it

I don't know why people go on about getting rid of the headsets and going on to glasses like to move it to something that small and compact it'll end up being the PC to stand alone quality drop all over again AR glasses and VR headsets do not need to be the same thing they can both exist (and hybrids can exist too I guess) a VR headset just needs to be light and comfortable enough to not be a pain to wear for a couple hours everything else should be put into the actual specs not desperately trying to make it as thin as possible
You can’t use it outside unless it’s night time because the sun will damage it. Maybe you’ve never used it before it’s indoor use only that’s why you don’t see anyone using it outside.
I'm missing the ability in Quest 3 to snap windows to walls or specific objects. For example, I'd like to align virtual windows to my wall-mounted artwork to use for contacts or remote desktop. Currently, they often land at odd angles, which is visually distracting. Additionally, Quest 3 sometimes misaligns room boundaries and walls. A solution could be implementing AprilTag technology, similar to Meta's demos, to achieve precise room mapping and object placement.

Glasses simply physically cannot provide the field of view you mentioned earlier in the video in the LIVE segment, due to not having any display beyond the glasses frame. If they did, they would be a…headset. So we will always have VR/MR headsets, and really powerful glasses for other uses. But I heard that if you wear Meta glasses while inside a Quest headset, and if your character dies in a game, you die in real life. So please don’t try it bro because you’re so close to 100K subs.
We usually do 1-2 news videos a week and anytime there's an update we lead with it because people are interested in them. For instance this already has 3x the views the news about 3S sales had. But we do enough news videos that it's not our usual headliner either.

I updated on the 18 of November. The UI was not there and things remained as before. Now sure why, or if it will change later.

you should try out the aubika quest 3 extended grips I use them and I fid them very nice to use
