Where Our Loyalties Lie - Luke 16:1-15

"Where Our Loyalties Lie" goes through the parable of the Shrewd (or Clever) Manager, as found in Luke 16:1-15.
This is a tough parable, but by considering how it fits in the greater narrative of the Gospel of Luke, and considering how the first audience would have understood it, we get a clearer picture of the story that Jesus is telling.
This is a story about faithfulness: being faithful with what God has blessed us with. God has blessed us so that we might bless others.
Jesus challenges us today - where do your loyalties lie? We have to choose. Either we choose to serve God, and to follow Jesus, or we choose to serve money, power, wealth, and possessions. Our choices will be shown in our actions.
Let's be driven by a desire to be faithful to Jesus. To use what we have to bless others, and to be generous in how we care for our neighbors.
