Good informative video you know my dad always said somebody needs to keep history alive. He was a big fan of U.S. Civil war history and enjoyed the reenactments we went to a lot of them small skirmishes over here in Missouri IE Wilson's Creek to the larger ones at Shiloh, Antetiam, Gettysburg etc. We didn't know about ww2 ones in those days but he would have enjoyed them. I like it that a young man like Alex knows the history so well in a day where at least around here a kid couldn't even tell you where Normandy was let alone the historical battle. They would rather teach the woke agenda! Keep up the good work guys!
Thanks, I bet those civil war re-enactments are cool to watch. I am glad Alex has taken such a interest in it all. Teaching Alex about history and the sacrifices that previous generations have made for us has made him a very polite young man with respect for his elders and other people. He is very different to a lot of people in his generation.
Good advice. I have been doing reenacting for 25 years now and still do it. Heading to one here today. You right about the cost of the kits. Another expensive hobby.
Nice presentation, My Uncle's cousin was assigned to 3rd SS Totenkopf and later the 9th SS Panzer Division Hohenstaufen, Sturmbannfuhrer Robert Adolf Frank from Erlangen in Bavaria, Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class and Knights Cross.
Panzergranadeire, its one off Alex's tunic, It was a little on the tight side. Alex would like to do more videos with us both dressed up so I will probably buy myself a tunic. at some point.
@@Blitz1944 OK, thanks. I have a repro M43 tunic by FAB which I bought from ebay (second hand). It is a decent quality though it does have a few inaccuracies, such as plastic collar band buttons. I believe that that FAB makes a lot of repro gear for re-enactors and airsoft gamers, but I bought mine for my mannequin display.
Thanks boys! Very good video and nice information! I love how Alex is wanting to do reenacting! Great to see younger people loving history! 😊 I am planning on becoming a SS reenacter, mainly because I want to educate myself better, and the spectators.

Very interesting. Knights cross, do you know how he won it?
@@Blitz1944 For actions in and around 13/4/1944 Tarnopol Ukraine which took his life.
Very sad, just like the british Victoria cross it was often at the cost of your life to win it.
What is your Waffenfarbe? Mountain trooper or Panzergranadeire?
