“Aimed towards children” me at 23 absolutely stoked about my mushroom kit growing.
I have the same problem with pink mushrooms 🍄 I might have to do the zip lock back
Oh please let us see if you have more luck with your mushrooms... I’ve enjoyed your videos so much I’m sprouting now because I seen how fun it was through you... thank you
Thanks Ugie, I appreciate that!
Those are simply beautiful. Want to try this someday. Funny, imagine my surprise when I was searching for a completely unrelated subject, and found your voice as my instructor!😆👍
Thanks for the support Marty Rose!
Tikki That was super fun to follow along this video - Do post more! Definitely would try this!
Thanks, appreciate that!
It's incredible how much I've learned - and continue to learn - from Tikki's amazing videos! Super presentations, all of them; highly recommended. Now I've just ordered two mushroom kits. YEAH :)
Thank you Joe, and good luck with the mushrooms!
This is great! I actually just did the mini kit and they sprouted really fast. They're really tasty sauteed in a little olive oil. I saved the block and I'm going to try for a second crop.
Thanks for sharing that Paris!
What a great video! Thank you for sharing the mushroom love! Happy farming!!
And thank you for making it possible! It was a fun growing experience!
@@TikkiOOO You're most welcome. If you need any growing tips let us know by emailing contact@backtotheroots.com. Happy growing!
We are growing mushrooms too! Lions mane, and the oysters. Thanks for the info!
I'd like to try the lions mane, they say it is good for brain health! Good luck with your grow!
@@TikkiOOO The Lions mane tasted like lobster! Having a bit of trouble with the oysters. Probably needs more moisture! Thanks for the knowledge!! Always enjoy your content.
@@pastureworks3773 thanks for the comment! Yes, it seems the oysters need more humidity, especially the pink ones. Good luck!
Wonderful! I would love to see you grow them a second and third flush. Thanks for the video!🤩
Stevie, I might try using them to grow more in a bucket, I have to do some more research on it. Thanks for the comment!
I had the same grow kit. It didn't produce well, about the same as your pink ones. I'm going to try and use the leftover spawn to inoculate a bunch of straw and see if I can get it to grow a much larger amount. Did you get to see the video I made of foraging wild oyster mushrooms?
Those were my thoughts exactly, I'm going to get a bucket from Home Depot and some straw, drill holes in the bucket, pasteurize the straw, and use the left over bag to try to get it going. Do you have any tips you can share with me? Wishing you success!
@@TikkiOOO sounds like you did the research. Don't put the holes until the mycelium grows throughout the straw. Try to keep out harmful bacteria and algae. I like watching the old videos from mushfarmer on RUclips. He gives a really great step by step.
@@TheSHOP411 I will check out mushfarmer, thanks! I got a book on growing mushrooms, I still have to study it some more. Thanks for your feedback!
Enjoyed the video.Thx for sharing.
Thanks Marilyn!
Thank you your videos are very concise and clearly spoken we learnt a lot. Have you tried collecting the spore and starting your own rather than the kit? We have only ever grown button mushrooms as we used to live in an area where field mushrooms were abundant and only grew the button kits to give the kids the satisfaction of growing they're own food
Keep up your nice clear videos we'll even forgive you for the accent. 😉. Best regards from Aileen & Tony down under
Thank you for posting this. I'm off to order some mushrooms :)
Good luck!
So where are the tomatoes you started in the tote?
Sorry Trackhoe, not everything gets to the big screen, but I try....those are long gone....thanks for asking!
Tikki O.
So I take it it was a fail?
@@Trackhoe075 The bushsteak produced only a few, and did not taste that good, so not a success. I also grew cherry tomatoes with the same method, they came out much better in both quantity and taste. I have been using an air pump in more recent indoor grows with better results. Have you tried growing tomatoes indoors using Kratky or DWC?
Tikki O.
I’ve currently got 2 mighty minis in AeroGarden bounty and am in the process of doing both DWC and Kratky! Setup is almost complete! I haven’t bothered with bigger tomatoes I have been sticking with cherry tomatoes. I may soon start to build a Dutch bucket setup just trying to decide where and how many buckets to start with! This is a system that I am really anxious to build but I’m taking as much time as possible to do it right! Yes I have air going in all my AeroGardens and that dissolved oxygen is so important! I’m doing it in everything I build. Peppers are also on my growing list as well as leafy greens.
@@Trackhoe075 please keep us updated. If you do a video on your set up and tips you can leave a link to it here in the comment section, we are all interested in seeing new ways of doing things.....and even old ways from different perspectives. Thank you for sharing!
You could massage the bag to mix the mycelium through out the entire substrate. But I was glad to see the pink mushrooms finally getting bigger. They look delicious.
😁✌🖖👌👍😎
Same to you john, thank you!
Did you sterilize your hands....did you sterilize that fork? Aaaaahhhh this is causing me anxiety.
