since I started watching videos on mushroom my passion for mushroom farming grows everyday. I am gradually getting into a big scale mushroom farming. Thanks for always sharing your ideas.
Props for being informative and to the point. You seemed to have covered what all night of searching on sites and RUclips in roughly 7 minutes. Thank you
This is one of the best mycoponics videos on youtube. There are other videos, but they either focus on psycho active mushrooms or they like hearing themselves talk about non-important things too much.
Watched so many of these videos and felt so overwhelmed, like I needed a hazmat suit n a bunker to stay clean enough, too many fancy substrates options.... So much gratitude for the making this look seriously simplistic enough to make me feel like mayhap, I got this . Thanks~!
Thanks so much for this video! I had gotten a block for Christmas and it fruited 3x before I found your video. I followed this video in hopes that the block would still produce in a 5 gallon bucket! I have success!!!!!! I am so excited, it just started pinning yesterday. THANKS SO MUCH!!
Lately I've been interested about mushroom growing..and I've seen half a dozen videos...so far this is the "best video " I've watched... Straight to the point, easily understood, well explained...easy in my ear.... Thank you very much... I will ff your instructions.. Again Thank you. MAT
All of you farmers sharing your knowledge are wonderful heroes of our world. Thank you. Gives me hope because I am now allergic to all manufactured food.
well spoken well presented clear non confused presentation no comments on relevant subjects such as forgetting to wear socks this morning which seems to be common place in a lot of presentations well done and thank you I will be following you.
I have watched at least 80 videos on growing mushrooms, so happy that I found you. You are the best! You have a fan, making my way through all your videos. Thank you so much for all the information!
I think this is the simpliest method of growing mushrooms i've watch compared to other videos that you can see the procedure into a laboratory and using expensive lab equipments... Nice very simple yet very informative...
Thanks for making such a clear, thorough video about growing mushrooms. You clarify lots of things that are vague/unaddressed in other presentations. I really appreciate you taking the time to put this out there ☺️♥️.
I agree with Olive Page. This video makes more sense for the newbies as I am interested in growing my own mushrooms at home. One of the things I was more concerned with is the overall temperature appropriate to successfully grow the mushrooms since I live in Central Florida and temperatures can get to the high 90's in the summer time. You covered that piece of information [Thanks]. Hopefully I can start growing my mushrooms soon. Thanks for the video.
Wow! This was single-handedly the single most useful video with condensed information on the subject, many thanks my friend. Wife and me live in a place where there's no direct sunlight but we have spare space which can be used to grow mushrooms with cheap materials. The toughest part will be finding buyers on time to not spoil it.
Been searching tutorial video to growth mushroom, Your video is the most clear explanation and indeed explained everything. Thank you. Keep it up brader !!!
This is a great video and chanel! Thank you. How do you continue growing after this bucket is finished? Can you use the mycelium from the bucket again to colonize another bucket and so on?
This video answers the very questions I had about how to grow a mushroom garden. I did a Google search and came across the panlarko grow mushroom planner (you can search it too) and together with the info with this video I think I can make my mushroom garden work.
Super helpful video. I just started growing and have white spiderwebby mycelium and I’m super excited after giving up on the whole thing...saw no growth for 2 or 3 weeks then my bags just started to show mycelium. I will keep in the dark until solid white block...not sure how long that will take but I’m learning as I go. This is so much fun! You got a new sub!
Thank you for this informative video I have succesfully grew my mushroom. May I ask if what are the things to look out for in mushroom to say that they are ready for harvesting?
Very good your videos and their explanations, I am trying to work with shitake and shimeji mushrooms, could you indicate a good substrate for pasteurization using lime and what are the proportions! I thank you !!
Fantastic and clear video, thank you so much! I often wondered about depth for maximum yield. Some seem to prefer spawning from the top others the side. I saw a farm growing in 8" deep boxes and only surface picking though they often picked only largest mushrooms not the cluster
Sir hatts off to you about giving information about growing mushrooms, Can I grow morel mushrooms ,shan't kind of media I should to grow morel mushrooms.
I'm new in your Chanel ,thanks a lot I subscribed and sent you 1000 likes, I'm absolutely fascinated about these ideas,, From Australia with love... happy new year,, 2023
+100thMonkeyMushrooms - Excellent. You helped immensely. I have one other question. My mushroom container has all those holes, but, the mushroom that I'm growing has exploded out of two of the top holes, and they're barely beginning to come around in many of the other holes. What I wanted to do was wait until as many holes as possible have started pushing out the mushroom, before I move it to fruiting. How long can I keep this mushroom in the dark before I absolutely have to send it to fruiting? Thanks.
Thank you very much for your video! It is really informative. Special thanks for your intelligible english! I`m not strong in english, but can understand you! Subscribed!
Exciting!! Best video out there on growing mushrooms. Can I just buy a bail of hay from Tractor Supply and use that as the straw? How about peat moss? I want the kit, so happy I found you:) Yippee! Subscriber from Florida.
exactly the videos I was hoping to find. Online I saw hundreds of videos requiring high tech machines that measure moisture and provide steam for substrates. I do have 1 question, If i were to use wheat straw, instead of sawdust material (both of which are plentiful here) Do you boil the straw like you did the saw dust?
Great, thanks for the quick response! After I asked I realized the vid was over 2 1/2 years old and wondered if I'd get an answer at all! I've got 4 50lbs bags of those! Going to start several buckets at once. What should I get from your site to inoculate all of those? (and is there a check out code I can use?)
Thank you for sharing this! I'm trying to learn how to grow mushrooms like you do, as I come from laboratory background and we used expensive equiptment to sterilize all things. As far as I'm concerned it is not necessery if growing for food. Any cases when someone got sick? Would be interesting to know. I'll check your other videos too, cheers!
Steralisation is for the mushrooms sake, not yours. If you have a steralised substrate, the first fungi or bacteria to encounter it will colonise quickly as there is no other competition. If you haven't used good sterile technique, then there's a high chance the substrate will be contaminated with some other, undesirable fungi such as Trichoderma. Once that sets in, you have no chance.
We prefer "Through Spawning" (mixing the spawn leads to faster colonization) as for depth...really no limit, as the substrate takes on the form of a vertical column. However, do not exceed 12 inches in diameter...limits air flow to center, contamination likely. Thanks!

Very informative video. Thanks. I might just add this to the list of things to try.

Would blending the straw and the hardwood work well, too?
Yeah people do that. But then you have the potential challenges of both. That's why most people use only 1 substrate. Less variables for failure.
Thank for your detailed and handy video.
Excellent Video, good sir.
Brother Thanks For your help But what are you heating in The Water something Like dust Can you say?
Great video! About how many lbs of oyster mushrooms will a 5gal bucket with hay substrate yield?

Yes, do soak (no need to boil) straw in the hot water at 170 degrees.
hi you, thank u for your video, an you tell me about the how to raise pleuroteus by wood? and how to heat the wood?
Any tips for doing this while avoiding use of plastics but keeping it inside? I'm in an rv, thought about doing minilogs and setting them in a box...
Great vid, thanks! Thumbs up and subbed. Can you use hemp hurds?
Thank you! Yes, they make a great substrate.

good job ..i learned it now to you :) but i am not sure if i can so, can i grow in my garden?coz my garden is hot a little bit.
Wait until your daytime temperatures are between 60 and 85 degrees.
This will work much better.
Really appreciate for your guide .Thanks
