ike perez The closest to a super heavy tank you will see is the T14 Armata in service with the Russian Armored Divisions. I doubt we'll see Germany, France, or the US roll out a purpose built heavy tank. The heavy tank of the second world war would become the MBTs we see now. The M1A2 Abrams is 72 tons. Another reason for not seeing these now is airpower. An MBT is vulnerable to airstrike. The T14 Armata is an even bigger target than the T90 MBT. In Armored warfare, that T14 will probably have an edge in armor as well as crew protection, but it is liable to get jumped like the Tigers of WWII.

The Super Heavy Tanks were an interesting concept. The easiest way I can describe them is take a battleship and put tracks on it. And as far as I'm aware of, all examples of vehicles that fit under this label were either never built or had poor performance and thus saw little to no use.
