Without the materials needed to keep their massive war machines going, the Japanese and German forces began scrambling to find ways to supply their forces while using the least amount of resources possible.
This generally meant making crude forms of their current weapons, finding ways to dramatically simplify production or even making completely new and often times extremely simple firearms. These weapons were a last ditch effort to keep the Axis powers fighting until the very end.

Rost Mandzak This. The bayonet in the Japanese army, along with the Korean army, which had a carbon copy mindset of the Japanese army up until the 1960’s, had been practicing standardized bayonet training for all soldiers long after they were considered obsolete. This is mainly because east asian armies in general consider physical superiority to be a core part in winning a war. Mostly because this part of Asia was a sword wielding warrior society than having a real military.

BlazinAsian it’s the same thing accept world war doh is for older kids
I had an Arisaka which was early war as it had the anti aircraft sights, mum, cleaning rod and machined parts. My example had the mum still intact but was missing the monopod. It also had a two part wooden stock that was glued together in the butt section. This was an early attempt to use less wood as two smaller pieces are a lot more common than one larger piece.

the sight on the earlier Type 99 was also used for anti-aircraft purpose. The notches on the two "wings" are indicator for leading an aircraft. The ajustable aperture can go up to 1500m, in case you have it set for long range shooting and enemies rushing in, there is also another backup rear sight for close-combat. So yeah, that's one sophisticated sight lol.
