When Whis mentioned that Beerus had a type after seeing his reaction to Cheelai it made me wonder if that's part of the reason he's given Bulma such leeway. Chelai does kind of look like a younger green version of Bulma, and if that's his "type" it leads me to wonder if he was kind of low key into her the whole time.

Yeah compared to Roshi, he was almost a gentlemen lmao. I like that he just offered her privileges and was shocked to see her. He didn't have a gross overblown "awooga" moment or the bloody nose gag. It was really subtle, and honestly really funny to hear Beerus of all characters admit.

I think Masako for some reason WANTS beerus's attraction to cheelai to be weird. Holding an interest in someone ISNT creepy, beerus did nothing but act kind to her and was teased by those around him. He didn't creep on cheetai at all, he expressed desire and then treated everyone kindly and ironically with the respect he should have been in the first place.
While I am not a fan of that path for broly,since I am just wanting him to be at peace and live his life, I can see that being a possibility, since broly's potential is just as good or possibly better than Gohan's, he could theoretically catch up to Beerus in no time and even surpass him if given the right wiggle room to do so. I mean, he is basicly in what we consider to be is Ssj1 state, imagine what happens if he ever achieves something like ssj2 or 3
I think Broly could easily live peacefully on the side but occassionally be enlisted to help in bigger fights if they need him. Just keep him on call, y'know

I love all the development we got in super hero for broly and the others despite how breif it is in comparison to the rest of the film. Like you said it is possible but I don't think Broly will replace beerus, I think broly's arc is to learn to control his power/anger and then hone it into his own unique power to make him even more distinct from goku and vegeta than he already is. To me a ssj4 like transformation for Broly is more realistic than him being a god of destruction to further explore ikari rather than it just staying a stagnant 10x multiplier.
I would LOVE if Broly brought SS4 back to the canon. That'd be like whopping double canonization at once lol. It would genuinely fit new Broly! Not only does it fit his feral nature, but Ikari specifically strikes me like what False Super Saiyan from Lord Slug is to normal Super Saiyan--it's like halfway there! (The yellow eyes feels so specific.) With Goku tapping back into his Saiyan heritage by calling himself Kakarot, SS4 seems like a next best step in his journey. It'd be really cool if Goku and Vegeta learn it from him (maybe even Gohan too). Having the saiyans swap between god ki and feral saiyan ki depending on the enemy would be really cool.

It lets the Super-exclusive transformations stay cool and Goku and Vegeta's main form of powering up, but allows them to keep the hype for LSSJ rolling by making it's higher tiers lean into a fan favorite concept without the use of SSJ4 stepping on SSB or The Ultra forms' toes.
Another thought is that If you look at beerus's outfit and his gold accessories, it almost looks like the OG broly design can be pulled off as a god of destruction outfit.
In some ways, I feel like Broly is a realization of what Gohan could have become if he hadn't been able to find a peaceful life. He doesn't want to fight, but when push comes to shove, he shoves hard. In some ways, he's a bit afraid of his own power, but he's learned/learning to use it to protect the people he cares about. On one hand, it's a bit sad for Broly that he hasn't been able to find that kind of peace, living on Vampa with his dad (and then losing him, for which he might still be blaming himself- Freiza better hope he never figures it out), and now it looks like he's down a road where he may not find that peace. Then again, I guess it's a question of what kind of life he actually wants at this point.

All we could pick up on was his body language during scenes which is still pretty interesting. I think if there's just 1 thing I want out of the next manga arc it's to see him find a little control in himself and discover some peace instead of becoming the weapon his father wanted him to be
Always figured Broly was the next G.o.D candidate ever since he tried to fight Whis in the Broly movie. Didn't seem like Whis was trying to hold Broly it seemed more like he was observing him. Gauging his potential. Something about that smile he had, it wasn't indifference. Seemed like genuine interest.
I love the new Broly but I still think Beerus is way more interesting and complex character. I'd have to see Broly's development first (which right now doesn't seem to be happening in the manga as Broly hasn't even made an actual appearance there yet...)
We're talking about decades/centuries here in terms of replacing, but at least this means Broly has some kind of end point in sight instead of just being left on Vampa.
If nothing else, this is a brilliant breakdown of how you don't need heaps of dialogue or over-the-top emotional scenes to have a significant impact. Subtlety is something that can really stand to be used a lot more often.
I mean if you want the actual reason why they're crying it's because they witnessed the most manly of brawls ever to have happened in the history of that universe it was two men giving their all, the raw passion and emotion and each one of their punches is enough to move even the sternest of men to tears, to make even the most stoic of gentlemen yearn for the idea that they too can have a rival that they could fight on such an even kiln. It was a pure expression of masculinity and it was art.
I thought this was gonna be about power scaling. While we haven't seen him beaten yet, the saiyan duo seems to steadily be approaching his level. So now, with Black Freeza on the scene and the way that he showed them up in his base form, he may end up outclassed soon-ish. Sure, they can just write him getting some magical gains by training, but that's really just kicking the can down the road. Broly on the other hand has plenty of reserves. His SSBerserk form stood up to a SSBlue Fusion! Just imagine how much stronger he can get if he learns to properly channel all that power - or even unlock the celestial tiers. (A calm SSGod Broly decking Black Freeza in the schnoz would make for such a great scene.) Making Broly the next GoD would preserve that title as the strongest being in any one universe without having to fudge with the numbers more than they're already doing.
Keep in mind that base Beerus 1HKOed SSBlue Evolution Vegeta in the manga. *Base* Beerus. It's canonical that not only he can use an imperfect form of UI, but also that Vegeta copied Ultra Ego from him. If base Beerus can take out Vegeta at what was his current máximum with a single blow, imagine the power of Beerus using U.Ego. I believe we're gonna still need to wait quite some time to see Beerus defeated.
The idea of Broly becoming a Destroyer is interesting. I personally see Broly training Kale and I can see Broly having a kid with Cheelai and becoming a dad.

I can't help wondering if Black Freeza will will be the catalus to get Beerus to get more serious about training, which would be natural to include Broly in that training since he is living on the planet.
With the introduction of black Frieza I feel like the dragon team will have to rely on Broly with training and Him getting the chance to avenge his father
Broly being the next G.o.D canidate would fit his character while actually giving him discipline to get the most out of his potential. It also gives Cheelai and Lemo a bit of a safe harbor in not having to worry about Frieza or his forces assuming Frieza could be bothered at this point with them. It also means, Goku and Vegeta can get their training and enlightenment and have their sense of self that they had going in to the EoZ with no strings attached. While Beerus and Whis could still have a Sayian canidate that better fits or can be trained to expectation than either Goku or Vegeta.
I did remember freiza feared a lssj may raise one day and beat him it not only concerns him but it also concerns lord beerus as well and broly might be the mortal that lord beerus feared when he order freiza to wipe out planet vegeta
Beerus has hax, he cannot be beaten by any mortal in his own Universe; his power level is the sumtotal. Ever wonder why SSj God Goku was 70% of Beerus' in the movie but still no one has surpassed him, despite no training? SSj God Goku probably was the equivalent of 60-70% of the Universes potential at that point.
With the manga's current space sagas, Frieza regaining his empire, and Broly being canonized as well, Cooler is BEGGING to be brought into the equation. He'd be perfect right now. It'd be awesome for him to be feuding with Frieza over territory, and the heroes getting caught in the middle.
I'd love to see them compare their powers and experiences with them. Also, imagine if she taught him her controlled beserker form!! Oh man, that'd be awesome to see Broly utilize.
There is 1 thing i think Super Broly should do Is make Super Saiyan 4 cannon Broly Super Saiyan 4 feels so right for this version, I'd say he uses his Legendary Super Saiyan combinded with his Rage form he goes through a morphing and gets SSJ4
To be honest, none of the Saiyans truly make sense as the next God of Destruction. Piccolo makes more sense from a personality standpoint and Super Hero has shown that he can get to a power level similar to them. None of them really have the personality or temperament for the job.

Don't forget that Beerus having an attraction to mortal women isn't new. When introduced, Whis mentioned how Beerus tried to convince a famous Pop-Star to move in with them.
I don't think Vegeta becoming a destroyer would necessarily mean he would go back to his old ways or that he would have to. After everything he had been through and the struggles to change his ways and bettering himself he doesn't seem like he would or would want to go back to being cold and ruthless because that's not who he is anymore and if anything that would be betrayal of his character in my opinion.
Out of the first 4 cannon movies we got •BOG gave us 2 new characters and a new form and set the scene for super •movie F gave us 3 new forms and the return of frieza to the plot •broly made 2 fan favorite characters cannon and a power up for gogeta to match vegito •and superhero gave us long awaited new forms for piccolo and gohan putting them back on the same level as the heavy hitters If super picks up after superhero I'd love to see a rendition of the moro arc with these new levels of power so when black frieza does come it'll be an actual shock to see him match everyone and properly make him a threat again
I kinda want a story where the entire pre Super Characters are put out of comission by the Big Bad like being trapped in another realm/planet, leaving the Super debuting characters to take the spotlight and Save the Pre-Super characters with Broly, Granolah, Gamma-1 and Maybe Mortal Meerus as the frontrunners
Z Broly was referred to as "god of destruction" in games and expanded media. It would be interesting of they tied that in with Super Broly by making him an actual God of Destruction.
I don't think Broly strikes me as the kind of guy to really want/like to be a god... However, Ultra Ego Broly? Now that would be insane. I could definitely see him learn SOMETHING from Beerus and/or Whis.
My headcanon: Hakaishin must have started out as mortals and been approved by gods, but they don’t necessarily have to have come from the universes they were born in. Frankly, if Beerus and Champa are brothers, it makes little sense for them to have been born in different universes. One or both must have moved to the universes they ended up ruling. Perhaps some Hakaishin did come from the universes they serve, but this leads to a problem of attachment, where they refuse to destroy their favorite worlds no matter how much they change. Perhaps there’s a recommendation system, where you can either train under another universe’s Hakaishin to become his successor, or be trained by one Hakaishin to replace another. The latter option would only work if you know whom your trainee is most likely to win over.
Should've been Frieza who replaces Beerus. He gets to go around blowing stuff up and heve everyone fear/praise him, but he's still having someone watching to make sure he doesn't go too far. Instead we keep doing this "evil space emperor" thing over and over. It'd be like Vegeta was still conquering planets at this point.

I think that beerus has forgotten how to properly act on romantic attraction or never properly learned how to since his job doesn't exactly require it. If he did know how he probably forgot due to him living so long without ever experiencing it.
Could it be that Whis had Goku and Vegeta fight without powers specifically to inspire Broly? Maybe Whis wants to hurry along the selection of a new G.O.D. because he's finally grown tired of Beerus' attitude?
Personally, I think that despite being a Saiyan, we probably won't be seeing much of super Saiyan and super Saiyan full power broly in the foreseeable future of dragon ball. One, to make broly different from goku and Vegeta by fighting exclusively with his base form or perhaps getting a better handle on his ikari form. I think this could lead to a ssj4 broly, or similar at least. Going from controlling ikari better to a ssj4 like transformation, probably not called ssj4 though as it might not make too much sense in universe, I think would be the best path for broly.
great video, man! respectfully, i don't think becoming a God of Destruction suits any member of the cast and i don't think it ever has. i don't know if i want to see Broly conquer his legendary rage either. i worry about the future of his character. i almost wish they had just immediately written him out of the story after his movie like they did Future Trunks, Hit, the U6 Saiyans, Planet Sadala, and Jiren after their featured arcs. 😩😩

Even if Cheelai is alien, then she is humanoid and Beerus is a beastman. So this would be at least weird, even if we consider like half Earth population beeing beastmans, but we didn't see they mixing and that was explained too.
i'd rather see uub be the next candidate and for broly he meet kale & the u6 saiyans/live peacefully with cheelai maybe start being introduced to society on earth slowly with the tarzan vibes he has,a posse for g.o.d that isn't the kai/angel sounds cool. could also make him earth's protector from interstellar threats while also maybe having him be a introduction to ss4 with how he's somewhat "great ape with super saiyan inside" and could link beast gohan to it some way.

Okay, this might be grasping at straws even harder but visually it would be a massive link to the OG Broly, who... Could technically be called a God of Destruction considering he *wiped out the entirety of South Galaxy*. EDIT: Looking at Beerus' design even more: Gold Wristbands? Check, OG Broly has that as well. The thing draped around Beerus' neck? Kinda looks like Broly's necklace in the OG movies.

Always figured Broly was the next G.o.D candidate ever since he tried to fight Whis in the Broly movie. Didn't seem like Whis was trying to hold Broly it seemed more like he was observing him. Gauging his potential. Something about that smile he had, it wasn't indifference. Seemed like genuine interest.
I love the new Broly but I still think Beerus is way more interesting and complex character. I'd have to see Broly's development first (which right now doesn't seem to be happening in the manga as Broly hasn't even made an actual appearance there yet...)
We're talking about decades/centuries here in terms of replacing, but at least this means Broly has some kind of end point in sight instead of just being left on Vampa.

If nothing else, this is a brilliant breakdown of how you don't need heaps of dialogue or over-the-top emotional scenes to have a significant impact. Subtlety is something that can really stand to be used a lot more often.
reminds me of the end of the broly movie when beerus says "looks like everything turned out alright" i think that is when beerus became interested.
I mean if you want the actual reason why they're crying it's because they witnessed the most manly of brawls ever to have happened in the history of that universe it was two men giving their all, the raw passion and emotion and each one of their punches is enough to move even the sternest of men to tears, to make even the most stoic of gentlemen yearn for the idea that they too can have a rival that they could fight on such an even kiln. It was a pure expression of masculinity and it was art.

I thought this was gonna be about power scaling. While we haven't seen him beaten yet, the saiyan duo seems to steadily be approaching his level. So now, with Black Freeza on the scene and the way that he showed them up in his base form, he may end up outclassed soon-ish. Sure, they can just write him getting some magical gains by training, but that's really just kicking the can down the road.
Broly on the other hand has plenty of reserves. His SSBerserk form stood up to a SSBlue Fusion! Just imagine how much stronger he can get if he learns to properly channel all that power - or even unlock the celestial tiers. (A calm SSGod Broly decking Black Freeza in the schnoz would make for such a great scene.)
Making Broly the next GoD would preserve that title as the strongest being in any one universe without having to fudge with the numbers more than they're already doing.
Keep in mind that base Beerus 1HKOed SSBlue Evolution Vegeta in the manga. *Base* Beerus. It's canonical that not only he can use an imperfect form of UI, but also that Vegeta copied Ultra Ego from him. If base Beerus can take out Vegeta at what was his current máximum with a single blow, imagine the power of Beerus using U.Ego. I believe we're gonna still need to wait quite some time to see Beerus defeated.
The idea of Broly becoming a Destroyer is interesting. I personally see Broly training Kale and I can see Broly having a kid with Cheelai and becoming a dad.
I can more so see Kale training Broly because she's got a handle on the Berserker part of their Super Saiyan mutation while he doesn't.

I can't help wondering if Black Freeza will will be the catalus to get Beerus to get more serious about training, which would be natural to include Broly in that training since he is living on the planet.
I swear there's a line in Battle of Gods from whis about beerus trying to get a super model to stay on his planet.
With the introduction of black Frieza I feel like the dragon team will have to rely on Broly with training and Him getting the chance to avenge his father
Broly being the next G.o.D canidate would fit his character while actually giving him discipline to get the most out of his potential. It also gives Cheelai and Lemo a bit of a safe harbor in not having to worry about Frieza or his forces assuming Frieza could be bothered at this point with them.
It also means, Goku and Vegeta can get their training and enlightenment and have their sense of self that they had going in to the EoZ with no strings attached. While Beerus and Whis could still have a Sayian canidate that better fits or can be trained to expectation than either Goku or Vegeta.
I did remember freiza feared a lssj may raise one day and beat him it not only concerns him but it also concerns lord beerus as well and broly might be the mortal that lord beerus feared when he order freiza to wipe out planet vegeta

Beerus has hax, he cannot be beaten by any mortal in his own Universe; his power level is the sumtotal. Ever wonder why SSj God Goku was 70% of Beerus' in the movie but still no one has surpassed him, despite no training? SSj God Goku probably was the equivalent of 60-70% of the Universes potential at that point.
It would be awesome for Cooler to show up, his Final Form was way too cool of a design to be a one-off.
With the manga's current space sagas, Frieza regaining his empire, and Broly being canonized as well, Cooler is BEGGING to be brought into the equation. He'd be perfect right now. It'd be awesome for him to be feuding with Frieza over territory, and the heroes getting caught in the middle.

To be honest, none of the Saiyans truly make sense as the next God of Destruction. Piccolo makes more sense from a personality standpoint and Super Hero has shown that he can get to a power level similar to them. None of them really have the personality or temperament for the job.

I don't think Vegeta becoming a destroyer would necessarily mean he would go back to his old ways or that he would have to. After everything he had been through and the struggles to change his ways and bettering himself he doesn't seem like he would or would want to go back to being cold and ruthless because that's not who he is anymore and if anything that would be betrayal of his character in my opinion.
Out of the first 4 cannon movies we got
•BOG gave us 2 new characters and a new form and set the scene for super
•movie F gave us 3 new forms and the return of frieza to the plot
•broly made 2 fan favorite characters cannon and a power up for gogeta to match vegito
•and superhero gave us long awaited new forms for piccolo and gohan putting them back on the same level as the heavy hitters
If super picks up after superhero I'd love to see a rendition of the moro arc with these new levels of power so when black frieza does come it'll be an actual shock to see him match everyone and properly make him a threat again
I kinda want a story where the entire pre Super Characters are put out of comission by the Big Bad like being trapped in another realm/planet, leaving the Super debuting characters to take the spotlight and Save the Pre-Super characters with Broly, Granolah, Gamma-1 and Maybe Mortal Meerus as the frontrunners
Z Broly was referred to as "god of destruction" in games and expanded media. It would be interesting of they tied that in with Super Broly by making him an actual God of Destruction.
I don't think Broly strikes me as the kind of guy to really want/like to be a god...
However, Ultra Ego Broly? Now that would be insane. I could definitely see him learn SOMETHING from Beerus and/or Whis.
To be honest, I desperately want Freeza to be the next U7 Destroyer. It definitely fits his character.
But Frieza doesn't want that. Frieza wants it all. Not just to be the Destroyer for U7. He wants to rule everything.
My headcanon: Hakaishin must have started out as mortals and been approved by gods, but they don’t necessarily have to have come from the universes they were born in. Frankly, if Beerus and Champa are brothers, it makes little sense for them to have been born in different universes. One or both must have moved to the universes they ended up ruling. Perhaps some Hakaishin did come from the universes they serve, but this leads to a problem of attachment, where they refuse to destroy their favorite worlds no matter how much they change. Perhaps there’s a recommendation system, where you can either train under another universe’s Hakaishin to become his successor, or be trained by one Hakaishin to replace another. The latter option would only work if you know whom your trainee is most likely to win over.
Should've been Frieza who replaces Beerus. He gets to go around blowing stuff up and heve everyone fear/praise him, but he's still having someone watching to make sure he doesn't go too far. Instead we keep doing this "evil space emperor" thing over and over. It'd be like Vegeta was still conquering planets at this point.

I think that beerus has forgotten how to properly act on romantic attraction or never properly learned how to since his job doesn't exactly require it. If he did know how he probably forgot due to him living so long without ever experiencing it.
Could it be that Whis had Goku and Vegeta fight without powers specifically to inspire Broly? Maybe Whis wants to hurry along the selection of a new G.O.D. because he's finally grown tired of Beerus' attitude?
Personally, I think that despite being a Saiyan, we probably won't be seeing much of super Saiyan and super Saiyan full power broly in the foreseeable future of dragon ball. One, to make broly different from goku and Vegeta by fighting exclusively with his base form or perhaps getting a better handle on his ikari form. I think this could lead to a ssj4 broly, or similar at least. Going from controlling ikari better to a ssj4 like transformation, probably not called ssj4 though as it might not make too much sense in universe, I think would be the best path for broly.
great video, man! respectfully, i don't think becoming a God of Destruction suits any member of the cast and i don't think it ever has. i don't know if i want to see Broly conquer his legendary rage either. i worry about the future of his character. i almost wish they had just immediately written him out of the story after his movie like they did Future Trunks, Hit, the U6 Saiyans, Planet Sadala, and Jiren after their featured arcs. 😩😩

I highly doubt Broly would want to be a god of destruction, in fact all 3 saiyans have their own issues, Broly may like fighting but just because he like fighting not mean he would like destroying, i do agree with you though that Vegeta probably won't be a G.O.D i don't think a replacement gonna happen anytime soon, and even years later i can't see Broly not minding destroying stuff especially when a high part of his arc is focused around literally controlling his form so he don't destroy stuff + cause chaos, like i do think they will have a new arc/story for Broly but a G.O.D? i can't see it happening even years later.
