@@bitww9734 I'm NOT joking. I have a 4K laptop screen that I watch lilsimsie's videos on because I am NOT poor. I have to change it to 1080p for De Sims 2 and De Sims 3 because the interface is too small for me to see.
@@stijn1203 first of all I was watching in 480p because I was watching on my phone in a place where the Internet connection was pretty bad? It defaults to a lower resolution when your connection is poor… secondly I wasn’t talking about my devices screen resolution, I was talking about the video resolution? Thirdly the highest resolution available for most RUclips videos is 1080p60 so it doesn’t matter if your laptop resolution is 4k (at least on the RUclips website/app). And lastly calling someone poor for not watching a video in 4k is extremely rude and childish…

Does anyone think that resizeable rugs would be an awesome addition? Like with sliders to change the size to whatever you want?
Yeah that’s an awesome addition, sometimes while building I want a rug but the rug is to big or to small.
Yessss. I hate when I find the *perfect* rug and I just need it a *little* bigger and it jumps to four times it’s original size 🙃 also when I try to grab a resized rug and I have to find that one spot instead of being able to grab it anywhere.

One reason that turf and paver look is popular is because it’s permeable! Rainwater can easily drain between the pavers, unlike and big ol’ concrete patio.

Loved this build 😍 but imagine this with some feature walls that bring in some colour as deligracy says WOW 🤯
What you can do for the counters on diagonal wall issue is alt place them all forward, that leaves a gap which you can fill with a mirrored backsplash (it doesn't always fit but in some houses it works)
As soon as I saw this title of the video because Simsie rarely ever wants to build something modern.

I think you should do a build that focuses heavily on the landscaping and really challenge yourself with it.
You should be banned from using these hedge bushes or the box hedges, as well as that low-lying plant that you always use. I think it would be a challenge for you to not be able to do your usual low-lying plants with a couple of flowering bushes behind it.
My challenge to you then: a more natural wildflower garden that sort of grew up organically and is now just managed enough by the new homeowner to keep it in check, while still leaving the natural look. Include a little frog pond.
I think a little country cottage would work well as the actual build, but that can be your choice.
I would really love to see what you would do with this as it's not something we get from you very often. 🙂
This would look so good on a hill with some retaining walls in the front yard for definition. 😊

Honestly, Kayla, I think you do a way better job with modern builds than you give yourself credit for. Yeah there are simmers who really focus on modern stuff all the time, but I think you bring a really unique perspective to styles outside of your comfort zone. This house ended up looking so cool and clean.

My new source of entertainment is imagining Kayla as a real architect while watching her videos. Like, can you imagine paying an architect to design a house for you and you hear them saying: "It doesn't look good from this angle, we need to cover that side up with trees!"

I once build a house where all the ground level walls where the «still more light» windows, plus two glass doors. It was the master bed room. The other rooms where up stairs.
You can have a multi-purpose room : Kitchen-dining room (like I've had in every places where I ever lived) or living room-dining room.
should use the island living counters. they don't have the lip when you put it against the wall, it's always flat. no lighting glitch

Build challenge idea: you have to build a house using only rooms from your previous builds. Maybe randomly select builds from your gallery, pick the best room, and try to fit a bunch of them together?

You should try a house in the style of De Stijl (Mondrian and Van Doesburg), there are some great squares and odd angles on houses created by Van Doesburg. And of course a color palet with yellow, blue, red, grey, white and black.

I literally love everything you build! Everytime I try to be like "oh I'll pick things that match this time!" but I never do! I just go for "what has the best stats and is affordable for my sims right now" 😅
