One of the greatest joints ever in the history of the genre or any genre for that matter. Absolutely incredible.
Made my year hearing that PRhyme 3 is being worked on. Primo has always been my #1 producer and Royce well lets just say he is in my top 5 GOAT list. Being from Michigan dont hurt either. Now if we could just get a Bad Meets Evil 2.

I'm a very very very amateur musician that mostly writes shitty pop punk music for my own enjoyment, but anytime I listen to something I wrote and recorded years ago I could tell you exactly where I was when I wrote it, where I was when I recorded it, and other significant things that were going on in my life at the time. Each song is like a time capsule, for better or worse.

i might be in the minority, but i actually prefer "Hip Hop" over "Boom", something about the beat that so soothing and it comes from my favorite Royce album.

Hip hop is coo but for some reason Boom has aged better and hits harder. For me anyway.

The version with the scratches is the best! Classics after classics.
Premier has an incredible memory and it clearly helps him remember the intricacies of everything associated with his music, from the beats and sounds to the people involved. He could do about 200 of these easily and not ever have to repeat himself. So glad he is sharing his musical stories with the masses!

First time I heard this beat was in late 2000 on 106&Park. They used it for the show intro on an episode and for Freestyle Friday the same night. I was blown away by how ill it was, but didn't hear the whole song or realize it was a Primo beat until months later (I heard the Carmen version on Music Choice).
