One of the best shows I see...I wish Pete Rock would do the same...and others
Suggestion: Since you always pull up the disk it would be cool to see you load the beat into the drum machine and just tap some pads
Jeru spit one of my favorite verses ever in hiphop! He killed it!!
"super scientifical madness / my status is the baddest every time I bless the apparatus" shout-out to the Damaja
Really enjoying this series! Thanks for taking the time to bless us with the history behind our favorite joints!🔥💯🔥💯💪🏾
"Put your rhymes on the altar, burn them as a sacrifice!"
The original version is still my favorite Preemo beat ever!!! I still remember hearing it for the first time back in 1995 like it was yesterday. That Charlie Mingus sample with that piano and on key upright bass...... FIRE!!!!
The original is dope but that remix?! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Premo is a goddamn icon for the culture of hip hop. He may not rap, but hes a damn good maestro. Thanks premo, you truly made my childhood better growing up. I always tried rhyming like Guru rip. Him and Tip always truly love
Can’t wait. Speaking of classics. We need Classic w Nas Rakim and KRS One.
"Bring It On If You Think You Can Hang" Fat Joe's verse was sampled on Jay-Z's "Bring It On".
Sad that D&D is gone that place should have been preserved forever as temple of Hip Hop!!
When (if) this series ends, I want someone to make a compilation of all the people Premier gave a shoutout to. It's going to be a LONG list! This series is gold, Preem is the definition of a living legend in the culture!
Love Fat Joe's energy on this joint
Being on this album and recording at D&D solidified me into Hip Hop history….The memories. That 40’s & Blunts party was monumental.
I love how you scratched all the different quotes from everyone that was so sick!! I still got the vinyl . Found the full album n the single mad cheap diggin.
All star line up!! 1995 classic
“ Yes, Premier rocks the track on time
Be cool to hear the story behind Cop Hell by Mobb Deep. Not one of your most well known songs but an absolute banger and the mobb was only getting started then
One of the heaviest if not THE heaviest snare in the rap (and Primo)'s history
