I had the opportunity to see her live in concert a few years ago. She is a beautiful woman! With every song she gave her brutally honest account about her entire life and the songs that were inspired because of this. Thanks so much for this.

Terrific. I've seen nearly every Stevie/Fleetwood Mac show in the NYC area since 1986. If you caught Stevie's IN YOUR DREAMS or the more recent 24 KARAT tour....i.m.o....Stevie was especially connecting with he audiences/selling the songs. (not phoned in!)

Did she talk about the song Laura.. and the baby she aborted ( it was Don Henley's... at first he celebrated about her being pregnant and gave her gifts and then became kind of cold ) Stevie Nicks decided not to go through with keeping it ... did she say she regretted that ?

Stevie Nicks had Az connections and a home in Paradise Valley. Her dad was the president of Armour Dial and bought a concert venue called Compton Terrace (1979-1983). This was the place to go watch outside concerts. Great vlog, as always, Jordan! Thank you.

Awesome old houses and history up in the hills. Makes me wonder what folks do now there to afford them. It's pretty expensive here in Washington State, but nothing compared to what I'm seeing there. Anyhow, I digress. What an interesting vlog on Stevie Nicks. Thanks Jordan..... ☺

Oooh I loved this! The houses in that area were so whimsical, and just loved the Moorish house. My mom liked Stevie's voice and I thought she was beautiful. We listened to Rumours every day. I can take or leave your live streams. I always miss them as I don't get online until late at night. But I never miss your vlogs because you DO NOT EVER DISAPPOINT!!!

Was going to go to Fleetwood Mac concert in '78? With my parents at the Buffalo Auditorium but it was a school night so they didn't let me go .I think it was the next year they broke up,"you can go your own way". Never forgave the parents lol. Great vlog as usual, Jordan, packed full of interesting info, retro film clips, brimming with nostalgia. My Vicarious existence through Daze with Jordan the Lion. Jah!

Just found this video I just saw her on tour in New Orleans, which she has adopted as one of her favorite cities. She was absolutely amazing. This is so interesting to see where she lived, when was younger and starting out. Thanks for the insight about the home.

  • @serenatwilite4005
    @serenatwilite4005 6 лет назад +2

Love this video! I had heard Stevie talk about that house in interviews, and had always wondered what it looked like. Old Hollywood is beyond cool. What imaginations those architects had! The homes are so different and varied in style, compared to most of what you see that's been built in recent decades. I love the A-Frame, too, that's looks as '70's as it gets. Thank goodness some folks in LA have an appreciation for these old structures and history, and are preserving them, instead of tearing them down. I love it when they put plaques on them to tell about the history. It helps the younger generations appreciate these old buildings, too. God bless you, for having the fortitude and motivation to hike up all those hills to show us these amazing sights.

I love that era, too. Seems like rock and roll will never be that way again. Everybody was doing crazy, way out things, with clothes and music, and it actually felt original. People were having fun getting high and partying without realizing they were ruining their health. Nobody would ever think in their wildest mind, that there might be a shooting or a bomb threat at a concert. Wish we could go back. Call me a dreamer, but I do believe our beliefs create our reality. I'm not going to give up on it. If enough people want it and believe it can happen, a time like that might come around again with new bands.

Found you watching Stevie videos and now I'm hooked. So many more to watch I see. I could walk those streets endlessly doing this. Except all I could say is, ooh what a nice house, unaware of its neighborhood, architecture and history. In a way, you make it feel like I'm there walking right by your side and listening intently. Meantime, you get to do all the uphill walking! Now I have to go check out the Buckingham-Nicks house. Thank you!

It sure does. I was 16 when I met the group back stage in 1977. Now I'm 60! Stevie sat on my lap and I was in love! Talk about things popping up! A 16 yr old with Stevie sitting on my lap. She gave me her black shawl. I treasured that forever! The entire group were really cool and friendly. My cousin did an interview with them for college. I was so fortunate to go along. To be up close and personal was so cool! Thanks JJ......Jordan & Jah! A great team!

I remember having a dream about her when I was, perhaps 19, that she came to my parents home and she and I went for a walk through the affluent neighborhood, not talking, just holding hands and walking and enjoying just being in each others company. Must have been after listening to Rumor's and Tusk albums non-stop.

Back in the '80's, I used to think all the time how much Linda Blair and Stevie looked alike. I thought the resemblance was uncannny. I wouldn't think about Lisa Marie Presley appearance wise, because her eyes are so different from Stevie, but their voices are kind of similar.

Cool story and a beautiful house. So funny that I was thinking the same thing about parking or even pulling into the garages they are so small. A double door would be fine but, would take away from the original look. Definitely not parking any full size trucks. What the wealthy people do now for parking is dig and make underground parking. That would actually be really cool in this house. It is crazy how Rumours was basically created during all that chaos going on with both couples. Mick Fleetwood was the anchor that kept them together long enough to finish some of the greatest music ever done.

Very strange to call her a recluse... perhaps she became one later on . But I just got done listening to 7 hours of the audio book here on RUclips called Gold Dust Woman ( regretfully it cuts off abruptly and is not finished ).
But if you listen to that book she always had people around her sooner or later... she had people living with her including her brother at one point . She had her entourage of female friends that were always around her and some of them lived with her .

Hey Jordan! I always watch your live streams after the fact, because I live in England & 99% of the time it’s in the early hours or V early in the morning when you go live & I’m asleep, lol 🙂 I don’t mind that I can’t interact, I like it anyways 🙂🙃 Great video Jordan, Thanks! I love Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac!

Great Vlog Jordan! You do such an amazing job with the back stories and history. .Near the end there was a great sign behind you "Here we Comb to Shave the Day!" Reminded me of your Andy Kaufman vlog. Awesome.

A friend of mine's parents owned a carpet store decades ago. They changed her carpet in the home she had here in Arizona. His parents said she was pretty strange, but overall nothing interesting was revealed from that project.

But did her parents tell you at all what they meant by strange... did they give any examples .

Hi Jordan! I’m running out of words to describe how much I enjoy each day’s vlogs so guess I’ll just have to repeat myself! I love Silent Movie stars and appreciated learning more history of Vilma Banky and also Stevie Nicks. And thank you for the tour of such beautiful houses! Jah always cracks me up. I love his distinctive personality and I can count on him brightening my day every morning. I laughed at you calling him anti-social! 😄 Have a great day.

Hey Jordan, Can you show us the very first house of Diana Ross & Berry Gordy's first house and their current homes. Thanks! If you can. Love what do for us.

I'd love to see these, too. I will never forget what a big star Diana was in the mid '70's when I was growing up. Diana and Cher really symbolized Hollywood glamour, in the music business, back in those days. I'd like to see the homes Diana and Cher were living in, in the '70's. Olivia Newton-John would be cool to do, too.
