I met this dear Lady twice, if that is possible. Both times we met at the television critics association yearly meeting in Pasadena, CA. She was receiving an award from this group and she was very, very nice and appreciative to this critics group. The second year I said hello to her she said , “oh yes, hello Wade, it’s good to see you again.” Wow! She remembered my name ! She was a true lady and wonderfully nice, too, and let me say, I met several people that were not nice but downright rude. Dame Angela was a true star.
WOW to meet her just once would have been amazing but twice. I always knew she was a sweet person and you just proved it to me Thank you for sharing this story.
Hey Jordan, you forgot one of the most important parts of Angela life was " she was the teapot for Beauty and the Beast. " with the favorite song. I will love and admire her for all she did😊
In the late 80s and early 90s I worked at the Hollywood Roosevelt front desk and I watched a filming of a Murder She Wrote episode. I was so impressed because after so many takes with stand-ins, Angela came out and did the scene in one take and that was a wrap. I was mesmerized by her, having watched her HBO performance of Ms. Lovett many many times... Thank you for sharing this......
My mom loved Angela Lansbury and we would get together to watch "Murder She Wrote". And I loved her in "Gaslight", Dorian Grey", and "Bed knobs and Broomsticks". And I got to see her onstage in "Sweeney Todd"! What a wonderful actress and person! What a treat to see her house. Thanks, Jordan! BTW, Shelley Winters was right, you are just naturally very likeable!
Many thanks Jordan for this tribute to Angela Lansbury. I thought her guest appearance in the finale of 'Mary Poppins Returns' was a beautiful way to end her career, I'm certain she managed to captured a whole new generation with her smile.
I’ll have to share this with my mom, who absolutely loved Angela Lansbury. I’ve been watching Murder, She Wrote since I was a child because my mom always enjoyed that show. Between that and Mrs Potts in Beauty and the Beast, I truly grew up with Dame Angela. Thank you, Jordan, for another loving tribute video. And rest in peace to the beautiful and talented Miss Lansbury, who enriched our lives so much with her work.
Angela was aware that there were movie actors that were not eligible for benefits because they were short of hours on the screen. I believe that she knew who they were, and arranged to have them appear on "Murder She Wrote". So, if you see an old familiar face on one of those shows, she was not only getting a great talent, she was also giving them a hand qualifying for benefits!
Hi Jordan, I loved Angela Lansbury in all her films and TV programmes she was in. They don't make actresses like that anymore. When you stop and think of all the great actors and actresses that she worked with over the years it is truly amazing, what a career. God bless you Angela Lansbury. Great vlog Jordan.
An old friend of mine use to share how his spouse use to work security at a studio, and Angela Lansbury would come in to do voice overs for blind children, she would always bring them fresh baked cookies… she was just like that…. ❤
I loved Angela. Perfection in every role she did. I loved her the best in Blue Hawaii as Elvis’s Mum. Elvis’s name was Chad in the movie but Angela made sure she called him Chadwick every time. Only Angela could call Elvis Chadwick and it sounded so natural. Rest in Peace Angela and Elvis. ❤️❤️
This was a very nice tribute to Angela Lansbury Jordan. It's too bad the new owners wouldn't let you video the inside before they move in! 😊Big Hugs for Jah!

Of course, Angela said, oh, no, we hired her because she was perfect for the role. It stuck with me even after all these years how special she and wanted to maintain everyone's dignity.
I was on an episode of Murder She Wrote. It was an episode that was an Asian episode. I was a background actor. Dustin Nguyen was in it and the scene I was in was filmed up at the now gone Chinese restaurant Fung Lum up by Universal Studios. Fung Luum is a beautiful restaurant. I never went back to eat there but at least I got to be there during filming. Soon-Tek-Oh was also in it. I sat near them when we ate. No, we did not eat in the restaurant and we did not have Chinese food. Frances Nuyen was in the episode but I don't recall her in the scene I was in although maybe she was but it has been 30 years. Hi Jordan. My sweet Mom watched Murder She Wrote everyday…. All Day… She passed away on May 5, 2023 just last week. I cried all the way through this vlog. I am so proud of the work you have done. I remember when your subscribers were in double digits. I’ve been watching for a long time. Thank you so much. 💕💕💕💕💕💕
Angela Lansbury was one of my fathers favorite actresses. God rest both their souls. They were of that "Greatest Generation" and the same age.. I inherited my father's love for all things old Hollywood Studio Era films and actors/actresses. Thank you, Jordan for bringing us all along with you on this latest romp of yours. So cool to see all this. Bless you and thank you for all you do for us. Ah, that was nice. Stay cool. Big shoutout from this old longhaired country boy, here, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Peace and love. See you on the next.
I still watch reruns of Murder She Wrote and have watched some of the old movies she was in. I remember the song she sang in The Portrait of Dorian Gray. Thank for showing us her last home where she passed away. ❤️
Thanks Jordan from the bottom of my heart for doing this vlog on one of my favorite beautiful actress Angela Lansbury. Great little vlog, definitely, Murder, She Wrote, is what i know her best from .watched the tv series with my grandparents back in the day also she was in Nanny McPhee. The footage used of her in her younger days was awesome Jordan and the house location too.
Thank you, Jordan. She was a power-house of an actress and so talented. I always felt she was underrated by the industry and I can't understand why. She was so versatile and it shows in her resume. She was also a decent and kind person. In the 1960's She played a two-faced cheater in a movie called The World Of Henry Orient along side a little known Peter Sellers and Tom Bosley. RIP Dame Angela.
Most People don’t realise she wasn’t American and didn’t actually have an American accent!.. I always find it surprising in your vids at how fast the kids are happy to sell of family houses
At the age she died, her children probably had grandchildren themselves, and well established homes of their own. It's just a house, and you wouldn't need to keep it, to remember the mother you loved. Also, you have no idea if it was stated in the will that the house be sold. I've never understood why some people see an inanimate object as something to become emotionally attached to. No object will ever replace a person you cared for, and the memories you're left with are what's important.
Kids grow up, have their own families and lives and scatter. None of us 5 kids lived near our childhood home, so it was sold . Our parents would want a new young family to love it and make it theirs. We sold it to a great family in town who Needed more space. 😊
@@kibblenbits You are right, and with taxes and maintenance, a house can quickly become a burden or lose value if it is not maintained. Save a few treasured objects, let go of the rest!
Ty Jordan for sharing all the tid bits of Angela’s life. Gaslighting was my favorite movie of hers, terrific woman and will mourn her loss, great job! RIP. Angela😿💔😿🐾😎
Angela Lansbury was a great actress. My grandma always watched Murder She Wrote. I loved her in so many of her movie roles like Dorian Gray. She was pretty and seemed sweet, but it was great to her in some of the villainous roles she played like in Gaslight and The Harvey Girls. I also loved her as Elvis' very sweet, doting mother in Blue Hawaii. Thank you for showing us her beautiful home on a gorgeous tree lined street.
Thanks again Jordan. My grandma loved Murder She Wrote. We would watch it together when I was little. I always would joke with my grandma and say well grandma this is the European version of you beca the similarities with her being so active and vibrant were so identical. The house looks very familiar too by the way. I wonder who else lived in it prior?
I first saw Angela as a child watching Walt Disney's Bedknobs and Broomsticks. I still watch Murder she wrote. She was fabulous as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeny Todd.
She was a GREAT Actress , she had that certain kind of style. Wonderful peace on Angela Lansbury there Jordan , keep up the GREAT work , and give little Jaw a big hug for me.
Jordan, I love the great Vlogs you do in LA about all the stars! I learned more about old Hollywood from you and your segments than all the other sources combined!
Pirates Andy Gibb was also starring. Im still watching Murder She Wrote every day:) Love ya and thanks for this wonderful R.I.P. thanks Daze and the Jordan:)
They did shoot some of Muder, She Wrote on the Universal lot. They had the shops of Cabot Cove over by where the Jaws shark is. The tour guide would point them out as we drove by. I loved Angela in Murder, She Wrote. I heard that she got all her friends' parts in the show if they wanted one. I don't know if this is true or not. Thank you for telling her story. Rest in Peace Angela. Jordan, stay safe and take care.
Josh your pup is such a cute little peanut! Thanks for bringing these great clips to us about old-time Hollywood, Jordan. I especially liked the one with Shelly Winters. Poseidon is when I first saw her watching it with my mom in 1970s. It was scary; she was memorable! She shouldn’t have brushed it off when you brought it up, lol.
I grew up watching Murder She Wrote with my mother. I bout the dvd set with all 12 seasons and I’ve been watching them recently. I’m on season 8. It’s hard to believe she’s gone! I hope her house doesn’t get torn down like some others!
I always learn something new watching your videos, but this blew me away, Rex Smith was on Pirates? That's crazy! He was on a made for TV movie back in the 80s and I had the BIGGEST crush lol.
I love that you do these videos it helps those of us who loved these celebrities a way to say good bye. It's a thrill seeing there homes . Hollywood California looks so different now days. Everyone who wanted fame when I was a kid all went to Hollywood. It lost that ump. Blessings to Angela may she rest in peace.
Angela Lansbury looked like my granny. So I loved Angela for herself, her role in 'murder she wrote' and for reminding me in my granny who died many years ago. Angela had this past decades' elegance and decency. ❤❤❤
Very interesting, I love all these old actresses, can never replace them❤️ Happy that you are in Los Angeles doing some vlogs. My mom loved murder she wrote. RIP Angela Lansbury.
Angela Lansbury was a force of nature! I saw her in "Sweeney Todd" on Broadway and got to meet her when the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences honored her at an event in Beverly Hills (about 30 years ago). Also loved her in "Pirates" and her interaction with Rex Smith is hilarious! Great vlog, Jordan!!!
Thankyou Jordan for the video , I absolutely love to hear about and to see how these old Hollywood stars lived it’s fantastic . …. R.I.P to Angela landsbury
A truly talented lady. My favorite works of hers are "Pirates of Penzance", "Gaslight" and her Mrs. Lovett in "Sweeney Todd". She could do anything. Have a wonderful day Jirdan. Blessings - Judith 🎭🎵
They filmed most of Murder, She wrote outside scenes in Northern California. She was the best. I grew up watching MSW with my grandparents. We loved it. Class act all the way.

Poseidon is when I first saw her watching it with my mom in 1970s. It was scary; she was memorable! She shouldn’t have brushed it off when you brought it up, lol.
Beautiful, thank you very much !
👍😊
I grew up watching Murder She Wrote with my mother. I bout the dvd set with all 12 seasons and I’ve been watching them recently. I’m on season 8. It’s hard to believe she’s gone! I hope her house doesn’t get torn down like some others!
I always learn something new watching your videos, but this blew me away, Rex Smith was on Pirates? That's crazy! He was on a made for TV movie back in the 80s and I had the BIGGEST crush lol.
I watched Murder She Wrote with my mom back in the day. My mom loved that show. ❤

Angela Lansbury looked like my granny. So I loved Angela for herself, her role in 'murder she wrote' and for reminding me in my granny who died many years ago. Angela had this past decades' elegance and decency. ❤❤❤

They filmed most of Murder, She wrote outside scenes in Northern California. She was the best. I grew up watching MSW with my grandparents. We loved it. Class act all the way.
