Love your stories of times with Shelley, wish her home wasn't going to be demolished. Tired of historic properties being demolished and replaced with usually very ugly buildings.

But, as ever, money comes first : the plot of land will be worth a lot, and as you say, will probably next accommodate an ugly new block , like others along the street..... I just did a search of the address and saw that the house had been up for sale, so I was able to see parts of the inside of the house. Usually, before an older house is placed on the market the owner upgrades it, so likely the house was redone.
So glad that Shelley found such a wonderful friend in you Jordan. Most people don’t realize that our elderly so often find themselves isolated and alone & find it especially difficult when all their friends start dying off leaving them behind. When they finally lose that spark of life, it usually isn’t long before they pass on as well. RIP Shelley Winters.
I am 56 years and definitely remember Shelley Winters. My favorite movies with her in them were A Place in the Sun and A Patch of Blue. Thank you for honoring her memory and sharing your stories of her!
What a beautiful tribute, Jordan! I don’t think anyone else could have done a better job. You loved her for who she was, and became her family. So proud of you! And I’m so sorry you were blocked out by the daughter, but who knows the history there. And it sounds like Shelley knew very well that the end was near and didn’t want to put you through that, and likely also could have been to protect her own dignity. She did, after all, want you to see her as a glamorous actress. May her memory always be a blessing 💖🙏🕊
The daughter, Vittoria Gassman, probably didn't know that Jordan existed. She was/is a successful doctor with a busy life. There was probably no "blocking", she just wouldn't have known to invite him.
@@jn8ive60 Yeah, could have been! I did a crappy job of saying it, but i meant that the daughter shouldn't be judged regardless, because that's her private business. Families are complicated, and funerals 100x more so.
@@JeanGillespie-fp7rs Absolutely! She was the total package! Her humor, charisma, smarts, and of course beauty, never left her. I've always thought that Shelley and Rosalind Russell were the two most underrated actresses.
Beautiful story of Shelly Winter. Sad that her house was not kept as a memorial to her, she was a brilliant actress. Thank you for befriending her Jordan. May she continue to rest in peace ❤
California, in many popular areas, now has to build new places 'up', and not 'out'. Many prime areas with new construction will have condos with 4 or 5 stories...
Grew up in N. Hollywood and Burbank and hate to see these old, beautiful homes that belonged to iconic folks go down. Shelley was one of my favorites. What a gal. Her biography was great.
Great tribute to Shelley Winters. Winters was a 'no nonsense' woman and did not tolerate BS from people. Some people, especially women, are often considered 'difficult' if they don't take BS from people.
People come into our lives for different reasons. She needed you and you needed her. What a great tribute to her that you still remember all you shared... and how it has impacted you to this day. We can all only hope someone remembers us this way when we are gone.
Jordan - THANK YOU for sharing this. I had a very similar experience with her. I’m now 61, but she was super kind to me for years in Malibu where I grew up. She was great friends with Joan Didion and John Dunne and Lee Grant who were all friends of my father. She treated me like her son and I too knew tons about film and used to grill her all the time about her experiences. She TRULY loved the film world and was so respectful of her talent. She was a ray of light to me and I can see that she was one for you too. You put a smile on my face…..😊
I love your relationship with her. You actually were in that house when it was still alive. I’m not surprised she loved your kind heart. I always loved her movies. A truly great star. My parents loved her movies, too. She would be happy Jah was there. Thank you, Jordan
Shirley was very fortunate to have a genuine friend like you in her later years! So many older people are totally forgotten or it is considered too much trouble to visit & spend any time with them...no matter who they were in their earlier life. God bless you!
Shelley Winters has always been in the top five of my all-time favorite actresses of the Golden Era of Hollywood. Even when she portrayed the despicable Rose-Ann D'Arcey in A Patch of Blue with Sidney Poitier, I couldn't hate my Shelley. She was such a wonderful actress and breathed life and depth into every performance she ever undertook. I'm so glad she had you in her life to love her and give her the respect she most definitely deserved. They don't make 'em like her anymore. Thank you for sharing your precious memories of this legend with us.
@@eagleeye2300 speaking of Shelley Winters, I remember her working for Rankin bass as the voice of Crystal in Frosty’s winter wonderland, and even reprise her role in Rudolph and Frosty’s Christmas in July and her role on Lana Gogan in Pete’s Dragon
A Patch Of Blue, a great movie. I always liked her in A Place In The Sun. The heavyweights of cinema, Taylor, Cliff, Burr, Winters. She was a natural, playing a down to earth character. That is what she was in life.
What an amazing story, Jordan and I thank you! No one tells Hollywood history like you! Thank you Shelly, just loved her and loved the role she played in your life!
Hey Mr Jordan I'm a mechanic black retired I enjoy yr videos and I love history I'm 69yrs I live in Hammond Indiana thanks for the time and I love the way you present may God bless you and your family I'm also on FB
Going overseas in 1964, my father worked for the government, we stayed a few days in NY and Shelly Winters was in the suite next to ours in the hotel we stayed at. My mom was thrilled and even more so when Shelly said hello to her one morning 😊
Jordan, that was wonderful. I’m so glad she had a huge impact on your future. A shame you were excluded from the funeral. Sometimes family members don’t understand friendships made by their loved ones. It would have been great to see the inside of her house. You can say, you were in the right place at the right time to meet Shelly. I loved her and she just told it like it was. Great tribute.
My father met her twice whilst he worked at Heathrow in the 70s, he said she was lovely and happily signed autographs.. its so lovely to hear your memories of her x
The Night of the Hunter is my favorite Shelley Winters movie. Very haunting with Robert Mitchum as lead character. Thank you for taking us along to her home and resting place.
The real tragedy of Night of the Hunter is that it was un-appreciated at the time. Charles Laughton did a brilliant job as director, and if it had succeeded, he could have transitioned from acting (and his career was on the down-turn at the time) into a major director. And Shelley was so young and vibrant. But yeah, another film where she had to die. I can see how that would depress her
That movie was at the top of my list also the Possediton Adventure. I know That my spelling was messed up. I need to pick up my new glasses I'm 75 so I remember Shelley Winters and all of her movies she was great ❤
The Night of the Hunter was also my favorite. I went through several record/video stores last year before I ever found one who could still get the DVD. They special ordered it. She was great in everything I ever saw her in and my mom loved her movies as well. When I was growing up mom would say we're watching such and such because Shelly Winters is in it. Mom was a huge fan. Its sad they tear down all those old historical homes. I saw a video showing that they bulldozed the home of Bette White. I guess its all about money? Thanks for doing this tribute to Shelly. I grew up hearing her name and actually remember the first time I saw The Night of the Hunter. Scared me to death as a kid. lol. The movie had been out since I think 1955? It didn't really get recognition until years later and they said the guy that directed , and basically handled the movie was so upset over the shallow reviews at the time that he never did another movie and died before the praise for his work was ever acknowledged. Again, you did an awesome job with this tribute. Loved it...
Bless her. It's hard to imagine someone as well known as her being lonely. I spent a lot of time with my grandparents and parents before they passed. No one should feel lonely. I've always felt close to seniors. I actually get along with older people better.
What a shame the house has been neglected, but what a wonderful friendship you guys had. Sad that her daughter wouldn't let you come to her funeral. I know you miss her.
Jordan, So sorry for your loss. 😢 At the same time, you did justice to our memory of Shelly__one of the "real" people, not 'fake' like so many others. 💖🙌😺
Jordan it always touches me when you talk about Shelley because you always show just how truly fondly you remember her and just how fond of you she was too. You had told the birthday story before and it always just so sweet and touching that you have that precious memory that she went out of her way to make your birthday special. I'm glad she had you as a friend to visit and keep her company in her old age because clearly she was lonely.
Jordan, any way the developers would let you take a cutting from the property? (A small, flowering bush, etc.) -Would love you to be able to plant something from her property onto your present property. If they'd allow you to take any further artifacts from within the home, that would be lovely as well. Appreciate how pivotal this association was for you. Kind and wise person. Friendships can nurture, and I'm glad you had this exchange.

It sounds like you and Shelley came into each other's lives at just the right time for both of you. It's great when it happens that way. Shelley would be pleased to see you doing so well. ❤
I loved this so much and it popped up at a time of a much needed punch in the arm. She was by far one of the most talented and beautiful actresses of all time. I'm turning 65 this month and feeling like it's all down hill from here NO-WAY !!!! she was still working at 65 and I can feel her soul saying "HONEY 65 IS WHEN THE PARTY REALLY GETS FUN ! Thanks so much for all your stories and adventures. You are the best❤
I'm so glad she found a friend in you Jordan, because your parents raised a lovely young man. You're kind and courteous and above all you're willing to sit and listen which is all an older person really needs sometimes. Thank you for sharing your stories from a screen legend with us.❤
I only just now saw your videos and I’m impressed by the love and care you had for Shelley. It’s crazy but several of my friends have told me that whenever they see her pictures or movies they think of MY mother! My mom and Shelley could have been sisters! The resemblance is uncanny. That makes so proud.
You can't fake the type of connection and appreciation you had for Shelley, it's actually kinda relatable. I had a very special friendship with a lady that much to my surprise ended up being like a grandmother to me, she passed away from lung cancer three years ago at age 84. Her humor, kindness and reminders of whatever qualities she saw in me will always have a special place in my heart. I wish you could get to do a walk through her home, i think she'd love that, you're remembering her and paying tribute to her as an actress and as a friend. I'd show them this video to convince them if i could... anyway, thank you for another awesome vlog.
I've heard that Shelley was a real hoot and threw some awesome parties back in the day. That is so cool that you got to spend so much time with her and get to know her. Your genuine sincerity, along with your knowledge and appreciation of old Hollywood probably helped endear you to her and contributed to her befriending you and opening up to you. What a privilege.
Shelley was a beautiful woman and it was so fun to hear her talk about her life in Hollywood. She wrote a tell-all book about her love affairs with famous actors like Marlon Brando.
What a wonderful tribute to Shelley. I really enjoyed this one, especially when talking about the actors of Old Hollywood; when celebrities were still celebrities. They had class. I think this one meant more to you because of all those wonderful memories of celebrating her life and her last birthdays. What a time that must've been, and then giving us a chance to see Old Hollywood through your eyes. Great job!! Loved it!!
This was a lovely tribute to Shelley. I so much enjoyed your story, giving us a personally side to her that we could relate to on some level. And you were so kind and generous with your time and friendship, which she appreciated and treasured. She really needed someone to pass on her wisdom and knowledge to, and it was you! Now I'm going to look for all of early the Shelly Winters movies. Thanks Jordan!
I'm SO relieved to see Jah!!! I was worried that something had happened to that precious puppy. I am 74 so am old enough to have been able to enjoy Shelly Winters in movies and interviews over the years. She was a wonderful actress and, if she was scary"ish" to people at all, I would say that might be because of how hard it was to be a female actor. Hollywood was, is and will continue to be a harder and scarier place than the average movie goer will ever know. You were really blessed, Jordan, to be friends with her and she was really blessed to have you as her friend.♥

This was awesome. I worked with her as her dresser in Colorado at Elitch summer stock theater for two weeks. She opened the season with “ 26 Charing Cross Road”. She told me sooooo many awesome stories. How she lived with Marilyn Monroe and gave her the open mouth smile and she told me she had many superstitions 😆. I loved her. What a special time that that was. Sounds as if you had many good times with her. Thanks for sharing🙂

Enjoyed all your stories about Shelley. I always tell people how much I miss old Hollywood. I think it's because of the connection I had with my mom and all the older movies. RIP Shelley. She was such a great actress.
I started watching your channel because I’m a fan of old Hollywood, so I enjoy it when you go back to California and revisit stories you’ve done. You’re genuinely a good person, and Shelly was lucky to have you in the latter part of her life
You are awesome for telling the story. I absolutely loved it. I think you should go in the house and do a walk-through with or without permission before they tear the house down. Shelley would probably love that.!
From the first time you told us the meeting with Shelly, this has been one of the best vlogs! People are only able to be people and themselves are when they surround themselves with their likenesses. She obviously knew your heart and soul is pure and let her honesty and kindness shine through and it's so great you got to meet her and follow her advice, I always believe that all our meetings, our experiences are not coincidences and it's all meant to be!!! I am so happy you got to share her friendship and have these friendship times with her. Honestly, Jordan, she admired you because your heart is pure. She knew this. It made me so sad when you told us in the first vlog if/when she would pass, you couldn't attend wake/funeral because of her ....daughter-why didn't the daughter come back to CA and claim this house and donate the proceeds to struggling artists who need it or a Elders Home??? She certainly didn't need it! I never understand these things!! She looks down on you and is very proud of you! She's always with you in some way-I believe this. So fortunate to have such a treasured friendship so great, so heartwarming! ;)
You and Shelly were so meant to meet and become close friends. She knew you have a kind loving heart. Love the stories about your time with her. It saddens me that her house is going to be demolished. Glad you and Jah got to see her house while it’s still there at least for now. Shelly was a wise woman. Thank you for giving me a reason to smile. Keep being a blessing everywhere you and Jah go. 😊
I so enjoyed listening to your stories about Shelley Winters. She was one of my favorite character actresses and I always heard good things about her. I love that she enjoyed her celebrity and didn't act like a spoiled brat the way so many do. One of my favorite roles of hers was as Roseanne, the slatternly mother in A Patch Of Blue. She was a great villain in that movie. Sweet Elizabeth Hartman played the daughter she accidentally blinded and Sidney Poitier was impressive as always. As someone who is getting older myself (75), I must say that it is a terribly challenging time in one's life. It's difficult to watch yourself deteriorate and to suffer with pain and disfunction. I felt bad for Shelley that she was unable to have comfortable dentures so she skipped eating. Anyway, thank you again for sharing. Best wishes to you in your future endeavors. ❤
What a lovely tribute, Jordan. When she said that you didn't need to visit her anymore, I think many people would have found that rude, but you know she believed in you. And I don't hear anything but love for her in this video. Maybe she didn't want you to see her decline any further. She spoke her mind, it seems! It's wonderful to hear stories no one else can tell but you. So many of your videos have the feeling that you really knew these people, but this one is special, because she helped you get here.
What an amazing story. I have a similar experience with peter tork. He believed in me as a friend and really helped me make life changing decisions that I can never repay. I wasn’t invited to the funeral either. But that’s ok, right. Love your story telling thank you!
Truly a special heartfelt memory. You were a true blessing to Ms. Winters. When seniors begin out living their family and friends and their health is deteriorating they often suffer from loneliness. You were a kind young man who gave your time to her unconditionally and she recognized and appreciated you greatly. Unfortunately, their those who come around, to get what they can from them. Not only family and friends but the hospitals who treat them. My mother was born in 1925 and she loved watching old movies. She loved living in LA. When I moved to LA in the early 80’s she and her friend took me to Rodeo Drive and I saw Kirk Douglas wow I almost fainted. Between LA and Santa Monica I met so many celebrities. However, I never met a great guy like you. Shelly Winters was an excellent judge of character. I have loved watching you on your own channel today. Thank you for sharing and bringing so many great memories from the deep recesses of my mind to the forefront. Special Blessings❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Thats so sad, people just do not care any more. She lives forever in your memories, Jordan. It is people like you who keep history alive. I loved watching all the old hollywood & filming locations videos but I am glad you got out of there. LA does not look like the place to be anymore. I cant believe her family did not allow you to come to her funeral! That, plus the condition of the house & stuff left behind in it, make me believe her family were not that friendly.
It’s nice that you got to make those enduring memories with Shelley, Jordan. Houses will be demolished but not the memories you carry of your friendship with Shelley. Jah was enjoying the trip to memory lane himself. He’s such a good boy❣️God bless you both on your journeys together. ❤️🙏🏻🐕🦺⭐️🌴
Shelly Winters’ mom would come into the grocery store my dad worked at and always tell him her daughter was a big movie star. He would nod and just smile because she mentioned it every time she came into the store.I read her first biography, which was highly entertaining. When you were friendly with her was her husband around during those visits. Living with him all those years and then marrying him on her deathbed was quite the story in the tabloids. She was so entertaining.
Thank you for sharing your precious memories of a time, and a beautiful woman, who have passed. Please keep the faith that Shelley had in you, she was not wrong for believing in you and seeing your potential. I'm truly grateful for all you were kind enough to share with us. What a remarkable human being...Shelley too!
Its sad you weren't invited to the funeral, you were such a good friend to her. You probably gave her many years of happiness 🎉. I'm sure shes watching from above ❤
So true and I think the sad part is that Shelly's family knew the relationship that Shelly and Jordan had. Family can be awfully funny (strange) especially at funerals. Jordan should definitely been invited to Shelly's funeral.
Hi Jordan, Your deep affection for Shelley (which was already obvious from previous vlogs) was enhanced further by the stories you shared today and how you delivered them. I've met a number of celebrities and sports figures in my life (because of different jobs) and quite frankly most were unpleasant at best. It's nice to hear how she invited you into her world and her caring support. In addition to her immense talent, she was a class act.
In the late eighties, I lived on Rangley Avenue, I was walking my dog one evening, my dog was peeing in Shelley Winters front yard and the front door opened and she walked down the sidewalk and yelled at me, "Hey you there, clean up your dog shit, I'm tired of stepping in it!" God bless her, a true Hollywood legend from the Golden Age.
You had a wonderful friendship with a wonderful lady. It's sad her daughter didn't invite you to the funeral but you had something very special she can't take away. And now you can visit Shelly anytime you want at her final resting place. And it's you who is keeping her memory alive so she won't be forgotten 🌹

Thank you for telling us about her yesterday, and encouraging us (at her request) to look for her in more roles than just Nanna Mary. ❤
I did some research on Mrs Winters. I had no idea how extensive her movie roles were. I’m 60 and even for someone my age she was already a seasoned actress before my time. I just knew her for roles like the Poseidon Adventure and such. She was a very big star. I almost feel guilty not knowing this. Thank you for such a heartwarming insight to your relationship with this wonderful women.
Something really depressing about how a person can be so well-known during most of their life, but almost entirely forgotten in their final years. 😢

She did, after all, want you to see her as a glamorous actress. May her memory always be a blessing 💖🙏🕊
Thats what u thought too.
Always appreciated her talent!❤❤❤❤
Sad, saw where Betty White's house, now gone & to see this, Shelly Winters house to be demolished, truly sad.....
Grew up in N. Hollywood and Burbank and hate to see these old, beautiful homes that belonged to iconic folks go down. Shelley was one of my favorites. What a gal. Her biography was great.
Me too. Loved going to the Hollywood bowl. My grandparents lived on Andover Dr.
@@lisalee2885 I lived on Olive near the hills : )
Great tribute to Shelley Winters. Winters was a 'no nonsense' woman and did not tolerate BS from people. Some people, especially women, are often considered 'difficult' if they don't take BS from people.
agreed it's true. the difficult label is unfortunate,. it's a characteristic deeply respected in a man but loathed in a woman.
People come into our lives for different reasons. She needed you and you needed her. What a great tribute to her that you still remember all you shared... and how it has impacted you to this day. We can all only hope someone remembers us this way when we are gone.
We can only hope, God Is Good All The Time🙏🏻
I love that she is still remembered in such a lovely way. Thank you for keeping her memory alive.
How cool!
So enjoyed this video
This is why I love the comment section.
Hope to here more about your time with Shelly, and some of your other stories.
That's pretty darn cool too.
I love your relationship with her. You actually were in that house when it was still alive. I’m not surprised she loved your kind heart. I always loved her movies. A truly great star. My parents loved her movies, too. She would be happy Jah was there. Thank you, Jordan
Me either Jordan has a special kind of guy and yes she would've be happy Jah was there RIP Shelley Winters an iconic actress 🙏
What does Jah mean?
Great stories. Ms. Winters was a Hollywood Goddess. May she rest in power!
Shirley was very fortunate to have a genuine friend like you in her later years! So many older people are totally forgotten or it is considered too much trouble to visit & spend any time with them...no matter who they were in their earlier life. God bless you!
It's Shelley. Shelley. Winters. It's literally in the title.
Damn.
@@ALNizhoni lol
... for awhile.
No, I get it, that her name was actually Shirley. The exchange just struck me as quite funny.
@@ALNizhoni silly you.
how anyone could let that happen to her house is beyond me. she was Hollywood royalty
Shelley Winters in the original of "Alfie," with Michael Caine. Perfect for the role. And as the Mother in "Lolita" (w/Peter Sellers.)
I always loved A Patch of Blue! Watched it many many times.
A Patch Of Blue, a great movie. I always liked her in A Place In The Sun.
The heavyweights of cinema, Taylor, Cliff, Burr, Winters. She was a natural,
playing a down to earth character. That is what she was in life.
Lolita!
What an amazing story, Jordan and I thank you! No one tells Hollywood history like you! Thank you Shelly, just loved her and loved the role she played in your life!
I keep telling him that.
I need to pick up my new glasses I'm 75 so I remember Shelley Winters and all of her movies she was great ❤
Based on a true story about the evil lonely hearts killer Harry Powers in the 1930s !
So well stated
This was a good tribute to Shelley Winters, Jordan well done with respect. God Bless You.
I'm sure Shelley would be delighted that you are keeping her memory alive :)
Reason I started watching you was your vods of old classic Hollywood
What a shame the house has been neglected, but what a wonderful friendship you guys had. Sad that her daughter wouldn't let you come to her funeral. I know you miss her.
What an amazing friendship! Shelly Winters is a Hollywood legend, and I always loved her.
Jordan,
So sorry for your loss. 😢 At the same time, you did justice to our memory of Shelly__one of the "real" people, not 'fake' like so many others. 💖🙌😺
It's sad when blood relatives have no idea the real friendships of their loved ones. Once again you keep it classy Jordan!
That is amazing. A great idea. Plants can live in forever
Just go take lots I go on holiday I do that for years my garden got so much from everywhere can take a bit of rose bush get from bottle put in bucket and leave for weeks then see bits of growth nanapolly my mum and me

Excellent idea but looks like the nicest bushes have died without maintenance. I wonder if she had a Gardenia?
@@MsMesem To weird I had the same thought. Gardenia...just sounds like Shelley.
My mother was in Shelley's age group and loved the fragrance called Jungle Gardenia.
All I can say is is that you have honored, Shelly, in the most respectful way. She was one of my favorite actresses as a child. I could almost cry. Thank you❤
Thank you for such a lovely tribute to Shelley Winters. You made her happy at a time in her life when she needed you...and you needed her.The One and Only, Shelley Winters.
Thank you for sharing your stories from a screen legend with us.❤
That was a fantastic story. You definitely honored her, she would have been so proud 🥲.
I only just now saw your videos and I’m impressed by the love and care you had for Shelley. It’s crazy but several of my friends have told me that whenever they see her pictures or movies they think of MY mother! My mom and Shelley could have been sisters! The resemblance is uncanny. That makes so proud.
What a gem. I know Shelley is proud of you Jordan. ❤
Yes she is
You can't fake the type of connection and appreciation you had for Shelley, it's actually kinda relatable.
YOU'RE ALWAYS AWESOME BLOSSOM 🏵️🌼🌻💐🌷🍀🌺
I've heard that Shelley was a real hoot and threw some awesome parties back in the day. That is so cool that you got to spend so much time with her and get to know her. Your genuine sincerity, along with your knowledge and appreciation of old Hollywood probably helped endear you to her and contributed to her befriending you and opening up to you. What a privilege.

@@ruego-qj7bt oops. Glad you knew what I meant. I've changed it.
Thank you for doing this for Shelley. We loved her so much!! Your the best story teller!!
Shelley was a beautiful woman and it was so fun to hear her talk about her life in Hollywood. She wrote a tell-all book about her love affairs with famous actors like Marlon Brando.
she was so naughty she had to do 2 volumes ...lol Loved her with all my heart
Why use two words (female actor), when it’s so much easier to use one word (actress).
Hey Alex shes 74 cut her a break

This was awesome. I worked with her as her dresser in Colorado at Elitch summer stock theater for two weeks. She opened the season with “ 26 Charing Cross Road”. She told me sooooo many awesome stories. How she lived with Marilyn Monroe and gave her the open mouth smile and she told me she had many superstitions 😆. I loved her. What a special time that that was. Sounds as if you had many good times with her. Thanks for sharing🙂
WHAT A WONDERFUL BUNCH OF ANECDOTES ON SWEET SHELLEY! She was a great colleague and a wonderful artist! Marty Landau and so many others hung out with Shelley and you my brother... and you... thank you so much for the memory... just a lovely tribute, young man! Thank you! Arthur B (Ngai)
You’re genuinely a good person, and Shelly was lucky to have you in the latter part of her life
His theme song got me.
Never watched Roseanne. A Patch of Blue, Lolita, and The Devil’s Daughter are favorites. Thank you. 😊
Agree with you. Some people, especially actors, and actresses just want to
be remembered for who they were before time stole the youth.
Or she knew she wasn’t going home. Very sad to think about
That was a precious story Jordan! She loved who she loved and you were on her list. What an honor! Thank you for sharing!❤
What an amazing story. I have a similar experience with peter tork. He believed in me as a friend and really helped me make life changing decisions that I can never repay. I wasn’t invited to the funeral either. But that’s ok, right. Love your story telling thank you!
@Scott Morrison hi Scott great today. Thanks

Rest in peace Shelly Winters!
It was nice that you were kind to her ! Everyone needs help as they get older..
What a lovely tribute. Sounds like at the end she wanted you to have good memories of her, not her dying in a hospital. You were a good friend, a young vibrant man for her to talk to, what a gift you were to each other. 💌
Jordan, what a lovely story you’ve told about your cherished friend Shelley Winters. I enjoyed it so much, I could have listened forever. Don’t know if you’ll ever see this but you should be very proud. You had a wonderful friend in Shelley, and it sounds like she had a wonderful friend in you. All people just want to be remembered and she came back to life by you telling us those stories. I could see her even before the pictures talking to you and making friends and loving remembering those great times and feeling loved one more time. God bless!
When I was a teen, I met her once in Maryland. She was so sweet and kind and boy was she a talker. I never forgot meeting her sixty some years later.
This is a wonderful tribute to your friend, before her home is gone forever. It feels like old Hollywood is constantly torn down and paved over. I love it when you show us that old Hollywood. I hope you get to do your walk through. I wanted you to just go ahead to the house and look through the windows. Thank you for sharing her with us again. Such a amazing thing that happened to you.
This is the sweetest thing. I want a friend like her! I love elderly people and connect to them so easily. You were so lucky to have that friendship with her!
Jordan, so nice that you updated your heartfelt blog of Shelley Winters. You are doing the work she always knew you had in you. RIP Shelley
This story is amazing! It was meant for you and Shelley Winters to cross paths. So touching, and aweet.
Thanks for sharing Shelley’s home with us. I am grateful to her for encouraging you to work in front of the camera. Many have benefited from her wise advice.
I have a huge collection of classic Hollywood memorabilia and everytime i see shelley or watch her films I always think of you and her and the friendship you two shared.
I thought about this video all day. My mind kept going back to it. Of COURSE Shelly loved you Jordan. We all do! I really appreciate your videos and your sweetheart attitude. I’m sorry for your loss. Thank you for telling us about her yesterday, and encouraging us (at her request) to look for her in more roles than just Nanna Mary. ❤
Shelly sounds like such a funny, no-nonsense woman. Such a blessing y’all met. Thanks for sharing!
I loved her😢
Thank you for sharing your lovely experience with Shelley Winters.
