In 1969 I was 20 years old and on my first visit to LA from London. The friend I was staying with knew Barbara McNair who came to dinner. She had recently finished filming change of habit with Elvis. While with us she called Elvis and he invited her out to see his Vegas show. 4 of us went with her. The show was audio-recorded and can be found on CD. Elvis introduced Barbara from the stage during the show. After, we were all invited to his dressing room. He looked amazing, a beautiful man in fact. Mama Cass was also present. Elvis was friendly, charming & engaging. We were there for quite some time, not a brief meet & greet. An amazing event in my life!

My aunt and her best friend booked an Elvis shows in Vegas in 1973 but her friend had an a family issue at the last minute and couldn't make it, my aunt asked if i wanna to go instead. I wasn't fan of Elvis at the time so I said no, finally she convinced me to go and became fan after the show was over. In hindsight I feel blessed now to have had the opportunity to see him performing in Vegas. Back in those days the stages were in close proximity to the performer, it felt like the audience and performance connected in a personal level which you don't see today, now you need binoculars to see a performer.

Elvis is in the Building!! Awesome vlog.. don't care much about colonel tom Parker. Liberace and Barbara Streisand and of course Elvis graced the stage and excitement of being in Vegas at the same time.. it was an experience that made Vegas what it is today. Barry Manilow graces on that tradition. Cool going to see where Elvis played and sang to the crowds and Elvis bar! The King is in the building! Barry's pianos and guided backstage tour to the stage.. Wayne Newton played here and Elvis would be covered in various pieces of women's clothing! Tuscany room is pretty elaborate, Elvis's hangouts while in Vegas baby!! Press releases for the enterouge of crews that happened around when Elvis was in town. The suite is very elaborate with a pool and overlooking the city. Pretty much built for comfort of a small group to entertain.. I think I could live there forever.. Mohammed Ali and Elvis giving the bath robe! The Westgate or the International hotel as it was known in Elvis days.. Thank you for taking us there Jordan 🇯🇴

Wow... what a vlog. It brought back so many memories. We stayed at the old Hilton (International) hotel in 1978 a year after Elvis died. The “Elvis floor” was closed and unoccupied when we stayed there. The hotel still had some pictures and posters up and staff at the time, talked about Elvis crashing Tom Jones concert. It was really interesting seeing the back stage, the penthouse room and the hallway to the stage. Elvis had not been dead a year when we went to Las Vegas and staff wasn’t sure what was going to be put in place in Elvis Memory.

Just amazing Jordan. I worked as a Real Estate agent at the Las Vegas Country Club during my time living in Las Vegas. You looked at it out the window in your vlog. It's to the rear of the Westgate and to the left as well. It was the Hilton still and changed hands while I lived there to the Westgate. My only claim to fame in that Hotel was one December when I was leaving the Sands Convention Center. I parked in the Hilton parking garage and so had to walk through the halls of the Westgate/Hilton to get to the garage. A long walk! I came to where the halls convened and there was a small crowd and I was looking as walking at the 15 or so people there and bumped right into a woman who also was looking at the crowd. She was speaking and I knew that voice in an instant. I looked and I said "Oh excuse me!" it was Dolly Parton. She was heading to the elevator with her entourage. Whodah thought?! In your vid you didn't mention and couldn't mention everyone who entertained there. But Connie Stevens was a big one in the 70's as well. Thanks again. BTW are these a "Jah Production"? J

Does this bring back wonderful memories. Every time Elvis played at the Hilton (Or the International), I was there. My girlfriend and I would make reservations. take Friday off work and drive to Vegas. We'd go to the midnite show on Friday, then on Saturday we would go to both shows. As soon as the dinner show was over we would go and get back in line for the midnight show, hoping for good seats. Seating depended on how much you would tip the Maitre Di and how he liked you or what kind of mood he was in. You DID NOT want to upset him...When Elvis came on stage the showroom exploded with us all screaming, When he sang Love Me Tender we knew he was going to hand out the scarves and kiss some of the girls. He had the most beautiful smile and eyes. And he had a lot of fun on stage...I still miss him so...

It has been over twenty years since I read Peter Guralnick book, (I hope I am recalling this information correctly.) but according to Mr. Guralnick, Elvis decided to have Ms. Streisand anoint the stage, so she could work out the technical difficulties he expected would occur with a new venue.
He also attend her first performances on that stage, so he could listen to the sound quality. He also studied/analyzed her performance, and told the persons who accompanied him that "she wasn't working the stage." "She stayed in one place." "A performer must constantly work the entire stage."

One of your very best vlogs Jordan! Loved every minute of it. My hubby won tickets in the early 70's for an Elvis show in Vegas and stupidly I told him to give the tickets away because I hate flying. I was thinking as I watched this that I could have been in that theater watching Elvis if I wouldn't have been so young and dumb! Thank you so much for this magical experience.

The one time I was in Vegas, it was 1997 with friends. Being a huge Elvis fan, and not a big gambler, I decided to go to the Hilton, to see where Elvis performed. I was in the lobby, and all of a sudden, Joe Esposito walks by me in a suit. Turns out, Col. Tom Parker had just passed away, and they were having a memorial for him at the Hilton that day.

Great vlog Jordan. I’ve lived in Vegas my entire life. You definitely knew when Elvis was in town. There was a buzz energy unlike any performer since. If those walls could talk? So many major events in his life occurred there in that hotel. Joe Esposito, a few years before he passed away, use to guide a personal tour of the hotel and points of interest once or twice a year. I would love to know the reaction the hotel management had when they found out Elvis and his guys spray painted the decorative angels in either the showroom or in his suite? A Q& A with Mario (his personal waiter) or any of the immediate staff he continually dealt with during hose days would be fascinating, Again, great vlog!

I went to the International hotel few years ago I was so excited I wanted to go see the suite Elvis stayed in, the hotel manager told me the suite was not 3 suites so I couldn't see it however he let me go in his dressing room and stand on the stage where he performed ot was a dream come true for me, I was 11 when he passed away didn't have a clue who he was until then, when the TV stations started playing his concerts I found my hero.
    Long live the King!

Thanks for this great video, It really persuaded me to go to Vegas once to see where Elvis made part of the performance history. I always saw old videos from behind the scenes of his concerts, I never thought the place where he performed was so beautiful like that! I think Elvis left some of his energy there for the people. This is wonderful.

I was watching this and thinking about how far you have come in your time vlogging...Actually stopped this video half way through and went and watched about 4 minutes of vlog #1... You've come a long way in 4 short years bro... Next thing you know you will be calling to make reservations at a hotel and when you tell them who you are you get automatically upgraded to the penthouse suite for free just to have their hotel in your vlog for a few minutes....Amazing!!!

Jordan - This was a wonderful video! That was so kind and accommodating of the management to set you up in that beautiful room and give you so much access to their facility and that they kept so many artifacts and feel of the presley era there. The facility is beautiful and all the details you gave were facinating. This was a gem. Thank you so much Jordan. Hope you and Jah are safe and healthy. Blessings - Judith 🎵🎭
