When Dabney Coleman passed away recently, I re-visited his 1984 movie "Cloak and Dagger." I was shocked to see Louie in a very small role as a cab driver. One line.

I met Louie on a plane trip from Minneapolis to Las Vegas in December 2008. He was doing comedy shows at a hotel there at the time. Sitting in the very first seat by himself. I talked to him for a few minutes and he was very nice, but didn't crack any jokes. I felt a kinship with him coming from the same kind of family, with Dad being a drinker and Mom the supportive one. Loved his comedy. Sad to see him go at a pretty early age. RIP Louie.

It was,a sad day he passed. Right after Norm McDonald and Bob Saget. I loved the cartoon Life with Louie. I read both books about his parents. I can't imagine Louie not leaving his estate to his family.

Louie sent me a personal postcard after his mon died because I sent him a sympathy card for her death. I worked at the Twin Cities Reader at the time and he was a fixture in the office when he was in town. The postcard was a photo of him and her together. Loved him so much!

I got to see Louie perform in Vegas back in 1992. He tore the house down! One story he told I still remember today; he was acting out the parts of a husband and wife when they first got to Vegas and how excited they were. Then he showed what they were like leaving Vegas with the wife pulling on her husband’s tie saying, “Come on Mr Lucky!” in his typical Louie voice. Absolutely hysterical!
I also thought you would mention his cameo in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

Pre-pandemic, I did alot of audience work on Funny You Should Ask.. They'd shoot 4-5 episodes a day and inbetween episodes I was lucky enough to get to talk with him n a few other of the comedians on a few occasions and his loving energy and warm comforting voice were nothing less than gravitating and soothing...... The nicest guy n one of the handful of comedians that I will continue to truly miss.... 💕

My sister's boss Todd was friends with Louie from the time they were small kids. When Louie created Life with Louie, he created a character named Toddler who represented my sisters boss Todd. Louie faxed the paperwork that Todd had to sign for the show. Don't know what that part was about but just thought I'd mention this extra little tidbit.

I know why his Mom stayed in the marriage, back in that generation they had a saying "You made your bed, now lie in it"🌻Right or wrong that generation just stuck with it and tried to make the best of a bad situation. That generation grew up with wars, rationing and The Great Depression so they'd seen worse. Louie was great.

"Mom Louie is looking at me again" stand up comedy show was what got me hooked on him, I laughed so hard! I laughed at so many lines from that show, like his fathers impersonations: ''look at that guy...Don't look at him! Just look at him!!! Jeeze!" or His mom: "The Johnsons are home! They are rich ya' know!" RIP Louie "The Claw" Anderson!

I met Louie in the Ralph's supermarket on LaBrea and 3rd Street in LA in 1995. He was very nice. I loved tht show baskets. I saw them filming Baskets in Pasadena in 2022 at City Hall. His Will being change sounds a lot like Michael Jackson's Will being changed with a signature that wasn't his signature. I guess Randy Quaid was right. In this case, not about star-wackers, but about crooks stealing the estates of stars. Do not create a Will for your loved ones create a Trust. A Trust allows your estate and belongs to go directly to who you want, without lawyers and the courts taking money from your estate to sort things out. Great video
