- Today I'm showing you how to make foaming bath butter, whipped soap. This stuff creates an abundance of suds, foam, & lather. You can make so many things: whipped soap, sugar scrub, shaving soap, soap frosting, body conditioner, body mousse, souffle, or meringue.
*Keep in mind*: The base comes pre-preserved. However, if you add additional wet ingredients you will need to add a preservative for that. The base is finished once it's whipped. Additional ingredients are completely OPTIONAL & not necessary. The 3 most common additional [optional] ingredients include: Add up to 12.5% carrier oil or melted butter [allow melted butter to cool so it doesn’t interfere with preservative]. Add up to 5% fragrance oil. And add up to 60% exfoliant; 50% is recommended. You can use a base that's premade. Cut it up into smaller chunks for easier whipping. Sanitize your workspace & utensils with alcohol or a 5% bleach solution.
*RECIPE*: 16 ounces base, 1.5 ounces melted cocoa butter (room temperature), .8 ounces fragrance oil, 1 milliliter preservative, 8 ounces sugar. *DIRECTIONS*: Whip base until it's soft & creamy. Slowly add additional wet ingredients. Scrape bowl periodically. Once wet ingredients are added, whip base on medium-high for about 10 minutes. Then slowly add the exfoliant & whip until it's fully incorporated. The base should be light & fluffy with very stiff peaks. Divide soap for multiple colors. Add any type of colorant. Always do a test run before filling the piping bag to make sure the soap is piping correctly. Use a large tip for piping. Add a bit of each color to the bag for multiple colored swirls. I recommend clear cups with dome lids to display the whipped soap. *TO USE*: A little goes a long way. Apply soap to wet skin. First is a light exfoliation. Add a bit of water & watch as an abundance of foam & lather appear. If you ever have issues with soap being too soft or not stiff enough, leave it out overnight to dry it out & add additional exfoliant. The whipped soap will remain soft, whipped up, in position, & ready to go- but it will never get fully hard. It should last 6 months- 1 year. Store in a cool place away from moisture and humidity for optimal shelf life. Note: Whipping time can vary depending on the mixer used, and the temperature and humidity in your workspace.

Girl, those are gorgeous, you should try press & seal just lay it down then you can layer your colors. Press it together than just drop it down in your piping bag. ❤🧡💚💚💙💜

I do the same but with regular saran wrap, even when I use just one color because it’s so much easier to fill the piping bag and is way less messy!

every time I use a bath butter base, it doesn't really get "whipped" or fluffy. I feel like it gets runny, kind of slimy. It still works. But it's like when I add the wet ingredients, it's activated. Does that make sense? Anyone else have this issue? Maybe I should whip it for longer...
I've had this issue ONLY when using a different base than I normally do. I know this isn't always the case, but the base you buy for this can make a big difference in fluffy or whipped up it gets. the one I purchased from wholesalesuppliesplus.com whipped up quickly & beautifully... Then when I added a bit of liquid to it, it deflated right away & I couldn't get it to come back. So I left it out on my counter & dried out somehow. whipped it again & this time it stayed firm- not like the other one I normally use, but firm enough.

I have 32 pounds of the Foaming Bath Whip from Wholesale Supply plus. It's nice but not firm as I see yours is. Do you think adding the melted cocoa butter and leaving it to dry overnight would help make a difference? I usually do FBW, Kaolin clay, Carrier Oil, FO and Mica. Maybe the cocoa butter will give it stiffness.... 🤔

I appreciate it. Yes I have considered it for a while now... I want to wait until I am a bit bigger to do a membership. Since I don't have time to make extra content for members, 1-2 videos of the 4 that I post each month will be members only. So, when that happens I'm sure a lot of people will be highly upset. I just want my channel to get a little bigger before I do something like that.
