Just a note......You don't want to use the pre-shredded cheese, because they are coated with a powder that can affect how this turns out. Always use the block cheese and grate it yourself.
I grew up on Velveeta. As an adult I have been told Velveeta isn't real cheese. Now I have to try this. Thank you!!
I swear Mrs. V is the smartest, self reliant woman there is. My heroine!!
Bless your heart thank you so much. I have been quilting myself over the store bought processed cheese loaf for so long. Now I can make it myself and feel so much better!!
Chelle Parks EXACTly!
As he peers into the sandwich.......
They get enough for Velvetta in the stores for who knows what is in it. Every time I get it out of the fridge, I here Julia Child say....flabby cheese.
Love the simplicity of this! Thanks
That's awesome! Can't wait to try this!
That's cool. I can see all sorts of applications for making it yourself. From fancy cheese molds for parties, to laying down fresh basil leaves in the bottom of the mold, adding different herbs, spices, garlic. And even making those little cubes or triangles of laughing cow cheese out of Gruyère. Now I gotta keep my eye out on one of those cheese cutters that is a piece of marble stone with a stainless steel arm that has a stainless steel wire across to cut it nice ;-)
Can't wait to try this!! Awesome!
You are so awesome at this cooking stuff. Love your homemade options of mass produced foods. So much better !
I never new it was so simple to make, my boys will love this! Thanks for the recipe share!!
Wow, what a simple and wonderful recipe! Thanks for sharing, Bev!
What a great recipe! I love that I know what's in it, and it looks so easy!
Saving this one
Love this idea! Thanks
Wow!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing this. I love how this cheese is not processed and full of chemicals. Keep these amazing videos coming!!
I usually pass right by the velveeta cheese because of the long list of ingredients and the high price of $13 or so a box at the local Quebec grocery stores. This looks so easy I think I will make up a batch this weekend. Thank you Mrs. Volfie!
mistiblue9865 My Pleasure Honey!!!

Wow Mrs. Bev you have really gotten everyone's attention with Velveeta cheese lol. It is good but expensive and I am sure that what you made tastes even better and to be able to make different variations of it is the bomb. Seems to be simple and easy to make. Woot woot! Ready to make some jalapeño Velveeta mac and cheese. Thanks for sharing Mrs. V. Love ya. -Donna
Thank you thank you for posting this! Velveeta is nowhere to be found here in Danmark and I miss it (and many other things too) like crazy! Now I can make Velveeta and Jalapeno tortilla chip dip again! You are the greatest Bev! :)
How interesting!
Terrific idea!! Will definitely put this on my to try list!
Just love watching you... I learn so much...thank you for sharing!!!

Caleria Sand My Pleasure!
You are a wonder lady
Brillant!
I love Velveeta, especially for mac&cheese, and dips. I used to be able to buy the little 1-pound box, but my store only carries the big box, now...which is way too much for me. I really like your recipe, since I always have powdered milk and various cheeses...the gelatin isn't a problem...Woot! customized Velveeta! Thank you...
Omg i love velveeta chz!! Im so gonna make this!! Thanks👍🏻
I like this.
You give me so many great ideas! Oh my ;)
Thanks for sharing Bev...will be making this for sure as it is so darn expensive here...
Cool

2leelou Preserves delicious too!
Oh, Mrs. V.! You continue to amaze me as I am going through all your videos. I am with Heather, on my "to make" list. Have you seen the price of this stuff in the stores? Even expensive @ Aldi's.
Making it today . Your fantsatic!
YAY!!! I'm making this ASAP:)
Thanks for the recipe.
Haven My Pleasure!
Omg really. I used to love Velveeta. They make the best grilled cheese. I am going to try this. 💕🇨🇦
Thanks so much for the recipe I'm going to have to try it right away. I love the fact that it was so simple to make but my question is can I use my Velveeta plastic storage container with saran wrap for the mold instead of thr little pans, and do you think it will turn out okay?
thank you for this one - and I can say all the ingredients.
My dear Lady, hope this finds you well, can you tell me how long this will store in fridge? Have you ever froze this? I know that store bought says no, so was wondering. I made some a couple of weeks ago, made a mistake of using mild cheddar, it was very bland. We used it in mac and cheese and added extra sharp, which I will use next time. Thank you for all you do, know that you ARE very appreciated here in Michigan
Thanks Bev! Another great recipe with lots of possibilities! Swiss Velveeta! Makes my mouth water just thinking about it!
virginia7191 or monterey jack with pepper flakes?
OurHalfAcreHomestead Or dill?
Glad I found this. How long does it keep and can you store long term?
Oh wow very cool. I was just saying yesterday how expensive Velveeta is and here you go and teach me to make my own. Thanks so much Bev!

Michelle's Crafts & More I love it!
Awesome video 😋🙏
Thank you, I have missed processes cheese. Now I can make my own.
WOW! Knowing what is in it and flavour how you like! 100 times better then the store bought :)
Val Walsh Exactly!
Looking forward to making your recipe with just one caveat, white medium cheddar. Personally, I prefer the flavor of a white cheddar and this recipe would work great in a mac & cheese. I f I would want to make a yellow version I could always add a bit of annatto paste or sumac.
This is amazing! Thank you!
Kendra Lou My Pleasure!
I was looking for this recipe . I should have known to check your videos out first.😁. Love ya. Tx
So cool! tfs
Debbie Reeves My Pleasure!
Awesome! That's exactly right, at least you know what's in it.
FitAnge S and it is AWESOME on burgers!
I need to make this! But will need to find a few items to make it lactose free!! On my do list.
I am so going to do this ya
Definitely making!!!! My hubby will love you for this!!! He loves Velveeta but I wont buy it because of all the garbage in it. Thank you, thank you!!!
DreaminFreedom My Pleasure..don't even tell him you made it...lol
I didn't know you could make Velveeta. thanks Bev!
Our Tiny Homestead Me either!
Mr. and Mrs. Volfie are two hard working people! They both get up at the crack of dawn and begin their day putting together a video for their viewers. How great is that?
Dennis M I put them together the day before and release them the next day...but ya..I videoed him at Breakfast at 5 am...lol
Thank you so much now I can afford to make my favourite Mac and cheese dish
Okay going to make this for wee girl. This looks way healthier than the slices (cheddar is too stronger for her--probably a sensory thing). Thank you again for the terrific lesson. I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving.
Made this yesterday. It is delicious.
Can this be done on the stove instead?
wow... I have never feed this to my kids because I didn't know what was in it... but now, i can make my own and know my kiddos will get a good product. thanks
+Yvonne Morentin my Pleasure!
I just adore u and your husband I love love your videos.... keep it up sweetie...God Bless u greatly 💖🙏😇
Does anyone know if this freezes well or how long it lasts in yhe fridge
Your recipe's the same as mine, but I have to add a couple of drops of yellow colouring because Aussies have very pale cheddar. I love that I can have Velveeta at home (which we don't get here).
The BearSpice Kitchen I never buy it..but sure miss it on burgers and grilled cheese...so glad I found this recipe!
Can you use skim milk to replace the powdered milk and water?
Good Morning ! I must say you continue to amaze me with all the different videos and i just love them. My question is ...can this velveeta cheese be canned and would it need to be water bathed ?
+Wanda Duckworth no canning
Thank you for responding. Love the baby goats. I feel you must be worn out !!! I look every morning for new videos. i just love watching your shows.
10min PC.
Nice!! Does it melt smooth and creamy? What a great alternative. Even more cheese for your already abundant supply with the canned cheese ;-)
Did you use instant nonfat dry milk or dehydrated milk?
How do you store this? Can it be stored for long term?
Hi Bev! What a great idea as there could be who knows what in the store bought stuff!!! Unfortunatly I just read in a Weston A Price article that said that powdered milk has some pretty nasty additives in it...........seems "they" can't leave anything well enough alone!! Great job though as I am sure it is still more healthy than shelf stable velveeta! tootles, Della xoxo
Hi Bev! I know this video is years old, but I’ve only JUST watched it. Thank you!! Do you think this could be frozen. My thought is yes, but I’d like your input!
Who would have thunk it!!! Awesome.. ty...
Tina Smith My Pleasure Honey!
Awesome! The price of velveeta is $6.99 a box here in Texas… I am definitely going to be making it! Thanks Bev :)
Mindy PatriotAngel This worked out to about $5 because I got the cheddar on sale!
Wow with no junk in it! Does it affect the recipe to add water with a dry measure?
🙋🏻♀️How shelf stable is this?? I think Homestead Tessie home cans a cheese whiz-like(I call it drippy cheese/"liquid gold") product 🤔
Awesome!! I'm going to start making my own. Store bought is so expensive.
Cooking with Cricket (cricket516) I hear that!
could you dehrated that cheese cube
Hi, I just had a quick question here. To me velveta taste a lot like the sweet american cheese. where does the sweetness come from in this homemade recipe that makes a sharp cheese turn sweet?
how long does this stay good for in the fridge?
Made it and was great for grilled cheese but when I made Mac and cheese it was not creamy at all, in fact it was clumpy. What can I do to get creamy?
That just went on my Gotado list.
BeaverRick grilled cheeses and burgers fresh off the grill just got awesome again!
Oh my goodness what can't you do woman❓❓ That's so simple I'm gonna have to try this and soon 🙏❤️🙏
Good morning Bev...
Oh hells bells...Now you got me wanting to go out and buy a shit ton of Sharp Cheddar, and Swiss, and even some Munster, and then make up a load of different homemade Velveeta flavors...Yikes the things you get me into Bev...LMAO!!!
Thank you for this tip, I am loving it, can't wait until Thursday...Payday...LOL
Blessed Be and Smooches...
The Grey March Hair I will be making poppa grilled cheese a lot...lnow that we have this!
This turned out great for me.....but when i tried to make grilled cheese
with it....it just turned into a lava mixture and ran out of the bread it wont keep its form at all when heated....what am i doing??
thanks for this darlin- my grimlins love velveeta cheese and this is one i can make with them- whod have thunk it- huggs
movinon04 At least now we can have sliced cheese in our grill cheeses and on burgers without buying the store bought stuff!
