    Thank you so much for this perfect stretching routine! I especially liked the butterfly-comparison, as I could really feel a big difference at the end. :)

    I started doing your stretches about two months ago. I had backaches and generally very stiff, but doing a variation of the stretches daily has really helped, and my back is now okay. So thank you for the amazing job you do.

    Hoping you are having a nice day, Uliana. So, we did this practise today and we never realised how much tightness one can carry in their lower back and hips. My back was saying: what are you trying to do here, but our movements were gradual with breath-work and it was amazing how low one can go. Your teaching style is exactly the way I was taught to do yoga; slow, precise and with utmost respect for the body's limitations. I am so glad I found this upload and I many blessings for good health and namaste💚xx

    I have been doing yoga with you for just over a year now and I have become so much more supple, but there are some poses that defeat me, like cross legged position. But at 74 I suppose I am unlikely to ever manage lotus now!! Thank you for all your videos, just brilliant

    • @yogawithuliana
      @yogawithuliana  Год назад +2

      Happy to hear you notice positive changes in your body! Don't worry about lotus)) I feel like it's a big part of the yoga practice, learning about your own body, practicing regularly to improve but also recognising and making peace with the fact that there are poses we will never be able to master, and it's totally ok))

    Thanks, Ulianachka, for this lovely Yin session. Time passed so fast. Ps. Was reflecting (briefly) how relative the term ‘gentle’ is, based on one’s personality and culture.

    • @yogawithuliana
      @yogawithuliana  Год назад +1

      Tell me more! Would you say this class was "gentle" or not? :D
      A few other words I'm careful to use are "beginner", "slow", and "easy" because they are also relative)))

    • @jacobe8688
      @jacobe8688 Год назад

      @@yogawithuliana oh, i did not mean to create confusion :-) My comment was not so much about the class, more regarding my reflections on whee culture & personality meet language. You are so right about those words you mentioned: i find that, with some teachers, i am fine with ‘intermediate’, while with others i find that it is at the top of my challenge… It’s like ordering clothes: i am Medium in most European items, Small in most American and then, when ordering from China, anything between L and XXL :-D
      The class was gentle and included a few softly challenging moves (mostly to do w some stiff areas in my back). The gentle comment came from observing myself responding to you using that word during the session and me wondering if my interpretation of ‘gentle’ was a bit less gentle than it could be.
      Bottom line: your instructions are clear and the terms you use make sense; please don’t feel responsible for how we interpret them because it is not _your_ responsibility. There are thousands of yoga teachers online and there are no standard terms in this area. Therefore, each practitioner discovers how each teacher’s terms relate to them.

      @@jacobe8688 Oh sorry, I misunderstood, I get what you mean now :)
      I mainly practiced yoga in Ukraine, Germany, India, and online with mostly US teachers, and I noticed a lot of differences in the way yoga is practiced and taught around the world)) plus every teacher brings something of their own into the way they teach)

    040722 That was really good! I did feel a difference between the first & last reclined butterfly. My lower back was a lot less arched, so more flexibility throughout the pelvis. Thank you. Namaste.

    I can’t get into the sitting position for one of the stretches. I think I need a beginner video to demos this to me as I just end up sitting cross legged 🤔
