This is exactly what Daredevil needed
It's so unfair for the other Marvel Netflix shows, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, they're great, I'm sure The Punisher and Iron Fist will be too, but they just can't reach the masterpiece quality of Daredevil. Even the Defenders may not live up to the greatness of Daredevil, but only time will tell.
Season 3 lived up to the greatness of season 1, and Punisher came pretty damn close
Iron fist was great, just finished season 1, Jessica jones was also really good season 1, luke cage was okay, definitely better than I thought it would be but I cannot vibe much with that show because im not black.
@@gilpetperdon9831 how is iron fist great but Luke cage is ok? Luke cage is so much better and Iron fist reeked production hell. And this is from a guy that thinks iron fist a little over hated.
This is SO badass! This doesn't just look like a show, it looks like a piece of art. Something dark and beautiful.
I've been EXTREMELY underwhelmed by Marvel's previous tv show content, Agents of shield and Agent carter, but this looks very well done. The action looks brutal and the tone very dark and Nolan-esque.

There's a difference between FOX television producers and FOX movie producers. The TV show has DC comics' involvement, while the movies don't accept much input from Marvel, and instead just make up their own stories, costumes, relationships, etc. while using the Marvel names, powers, and basic outlines.
And now the show is cancelled after 3 truly amazing seasons, what are you doing Marvel, it was the best Marvel series of all the ones you did :/

YES! YES! Fucking YES! I wanted to see this more than anything in the MCU:
the simple outfit, the gritty mood, the right Murdock, the corruption on the streets, the alley fights, the mystery around the Kingpin, the focus on Stick's face, the mad and beaten Daredevil. Blend in good doses of Miller and Bendis storylines and we got ourselves a great marathon on April 10th. YES \o/
It’s been eight years and now daredevil is one of the best superhero shows of all time why did Netflix have to cancel it.

Marvels HQ, in NY was on 50th st. smack dab in the middle of Hell's kitchen(34th to 59th streets), hence it's importance in the Marvell universe. To understand the daredevil story lines of the 60's and 70's it's probably best to understand that this was a period of incredible change in that neighborhood. Once a residential neighborhood for immigrants (predominantly Irish), hell's kitchen when these storylines was written was in fact being bought up by Corporations and the transformation was ugly. During this period an irish Gang calling themselves, The Westies, was waging a gang war that, even by NYC standards was incredibly brutal. the Bars and restaurants frequented by Marvel writers were regularly the sights of Gang Hits. In my opinion to understand Marvel Canon, it is necessary to have an understanding of the many neighborhoods that make up the Island of Manhattan in the time period the stories were written. Along the same line, those who know Greenwich village well, The Artsy, Liberal, outside the lines mentality of it's residents, makes perfect sense as to why they placed, Dr. Stranges, Brownstone, there. Peter Parker in Forest Hills, New York in a section of, Big City small town, feel. To understand Marvel it is essential to have an understanding of NYC.

Non vedo letteralmente l'ora. Dopo il buco nell'acqua cinematografico, la televisione e la serialità potrebbe offrire al personaggio di Daredevil la sua dimensione più agevole. Ho grosse aspettative. Teniamo le dita incrociate.
Spero che tengano in considerazione le run di Miller e di Brubaker...anche il mini-ciclo di Smith non mi dispiacerebbe...
Io spero proprio che la serialità (a differenza dei tempi di un film cinematografico) dia al personaggio e ai suoi comprimari di presentare poco per volta tutto il meglio della loro mitologia.
Dal costume si direbbe che abbiano attinto, almeno nelle fasi iniziali, a "L'uomo senza paura" di Miller e Romita Jr.....speriamo bene. P.s.: sarà perché ero più piccolino, ma a me il film di Daredevil di Johnson non è dispiaciuto....cmq c'è una versione "director's cut" che meriterebbe un'altra chance...non so se l'hai vista...è "depurata" di tutta la parte melensa con Elektra....
Roberto Catanzaro Sì, ho visto la director's cut, e in effetti qualche scena interessante che nel montaggio finale mancava c'è. Il Daredevil di Johnson non era un film riuscito. Ma non è neppure il peggio che i cinefumetti abbiano prodotto in questi anni (basti pensare ai Ghost Rider). A qualcuno diede fastidio il cambiamento di carattere del protagonista, ma il punto non era neppure quello. Il film era modesto e basta. Non mancavano però degli elementi intriganti per un fan. A me non dispiaceva affatto il Kingpin nero. Così come il Bullseye di Colin Farrell e la citazione del duello con Elektra non era male. Il film nel suo complesso, però, era un'enorme occasione sprecata.

I like the darkness and grittiness of this trailer. I feel like Arrow and The Flash were made for 15 year old teens. Nice to know they are making a superhero show for grownups.

Yes I have. They keep me entertained but are no where near amazing. Making a superhero show on a platform like the CW means lots of censorship. All the restrictions make for a very cheesy and unauthentic overall feel.

When you think about it, this is a slap in the face to people who think that Marvel was just for kids.

As a fan of BoardWalk Empire I'm glad to see the guy playing Matt is in something else but his accent just kills me. Seriously, after hearing his real irish accent on Boardwalk, you can't unhear it. It's like he barely tried to put an american accent on for this role.
Charlie Cox is English. The Northern Irish Accent he had in Boardwalk Empire is not his normal accent.
I personally thought the American accent was fine, but I am not American.

To me his accent was fine, there were a few words here and there that had a bit of an English twang but nothing major.
Sorry my friend, but the Irish accent you hear is your own doing.
Plus, as Kenny aka TI said, Murdoch if of Irish decent anyways, so even if there was an Irish twang you could justify it a little. My grandad was Irish and we use words/phrasing that we got from him :)
nw21jcc true but his dad didn't have an irish accent and as we saw in the show, he didn't really have any family besides his dad and his mom who didn't want anything to do with him.
spearofconquest I guess. I did hear the odd word that sounded English but not often. I just watched Stardust, I've never seen Cox in anything where he speaks in his own accent. It was odd (good film though). Also, just re read what I posted and it sounds a little arsehole-like. Sorry, wasn't my intention :)
Its amazing that netflix has only been doing movies and production for 5 years and can make an amazing Marvel adaption. Fox has been making movies for 40 and can't do a marvel movie worth its cover charge.

You must not read about stuff before you watch trailers. Because if you had, you would of known that DD morphs over time to end up in the Red Suit, But this is his starter suit. He's new at being a Vigilantly, and this is what he goes with.
I'm very relieved it's not Ben Affleck.
