Can you imagine? Matt Murdock was already a powerhouse, probably the most skilled of the Defenders including Danny Rand, and he was holding back because he didn’t want to kill anyone. If he really has gone off the rails then God help anyone who gets in his way.

Daredevil is essentially the Nolan Trilogy but fully realised. Season 1 is an origin, a down to the streets look at crime fighting. Season 2 tears out hero in too many directions and results in huge personal problems. Season 3 turns the identity of Daredevil inside out and beats him down, forcing him to rise back to what he was, one last time.
Damn this was so well put. But honestly, Daredevil is the best trilogy in all of Marvel live action.

I still can't believe they canceled season 4. I love all 3 seasons of Daredevil. Each one is on point, with no fillers, no timepass, essential storyline, and entertaining. Even the Flash series took unnecessary detours, but not Daredevil. Amazingly written, well directed, and super realistic. Perfect! In my opinion.
I just wish they will make season 4 in some time

MCU content is like a a planned community of cookie cutter houses; some are bigger, some have 2 stories, or a pool or no pool, but they all look practically the same. Daredevil is the Victorian house in the art district of downtown.

But that's got nothing to do with whether or not the politics of the story was well told, such as with The Winter Soldier. The only issues with TFATWS was that they changed the storyline at the last minute so that it had moments of discombobulation. The original storyline involved a pandemic that originated in China. They changed that after filming had wrapped because -- of the most recent real-life pandemic and its alleged origin.

"Born Again" is adapted so perfectly into season 3 and with the creative switch of making Bullseye the impostor Daredevil...and FISK is truly wretched in this storyline. Be prepared everyone cause we're about to walk with Matt Murdock in Hell. I hope they can conclude it just as well as Frank Miller did in the comic.

In my honest opinion: He just got old. That's a bit of a feeble excuse, but really, I think that happens to some artists (and people in general). Years ago a friend was reading the collected journals of Charlton Heston. I asked what made him become an extreme gun nut conservative? My friend said that he just seemed to get crankier the older he got.
Heston's views were consistent though. He was pro-individual liberty and anti State interference. That's why he was a BIG supporter of the civil rights movement in the 60s and a major advocate for MLK at a time when doing so could have been very damaging to him. When the civil rights movement won, he moved on to the next thing he saw the State trying to meddle with. The fact that most people can't see beyond Left vs Right is what saddled him with the "extreme conservative" tag.
