2000 Honda Civic Si EM1 - Spoon Brakes | KW V3 Coilovers | RegaMaster | Tanabe Exhaust (Episode 2)

- In this episode of this series, we will be upgrading this 2000 Honda Civic Si with some tasteful modifications. First we started off with a set of KW V3 Coilovers, followed with a set of Spoon Sports 4-piston Calipers, Goodridge Stainless Steel Brake Lines, Stoptech slotted front and rear brake rotors, 16" RegaMaster Evo Wheels and Falken Azenis Tires.
Full stainless steel Revel cat-back exhaust system from Tanabe, Type-R valve cover along with Chasing J titanium hardware, adjusting the ride height, bleeding the braking system by flushing the fluid and finished off with a 4-wheel alignment.

This set up, is the ultimate Honda boy set up of dreams for my self, a stock oem look with a set of evo regamasters and spoon sport calipers. Damn what a dream.
We love this setup as well. The white Rega complements the Milano Red really well.
The owner isn’t adding center caps though? Lack of center caps always bothers my OCD. 😧

You guys are truly phenomenal, you guys were the ones to pull me back into my love of Hondas after my 05 Milano Red Rsx Type-S was stolen from me over 10 years ago. I had hate in my heart honda's and the toxic hidden crime culture that plagues that scene. But over the years, you guys have chipped away at those feelings I had built up. Thank you.
There's certainly some stigmas associated to Honda specially the early days, but folks are much more matured. So glad we are able to patch that up too

Have that same exact brake bleeder bottle. Highly recommended product. Single man bleeding is so simple with it. Works just like speed bleeders but unlike speed bleeders, this bottle doesn't rust and corrode.

Nice! I like the ride height and beefy tire setup. Must be because I am an old codger who bought a new '99 back in the day when I was 36. (I'll let you guys do the math) Stock those things looked like 4 x 4 pickups, so you have to keep that in mind. This drop gives it a nice even distance around the tire perimeter. Will make it much more usable on steep driveways and entrances into parking lots. I think at this stage in life, I would have left it all stock, but you have to give this customer credit for having the extra cash for these very tasteful JDM upgrades. BTW, Mike was obviously under the weather and noticeably missing for most of the video. Hope you feel better soon, Mike!
The mild drop on KW along with the beefed up tires, hitting right up our alley too. Great catch on Mike, he lost his voice completely during the video due to Pollen/allergy season. The team picked up where he left off. We love the final product.

not sure if you see those little yellow dots on the tires, but that is where you're supposed to line the valve stem up with those. it helps when balancing the tire....not a lot of professionals know about that.

Regamaster Evo’s absolutely need the stickers imo, good job! Seems most people leave ‘em off. Car I super clean. Only thing I’d be changing is the front strut bar to black instead of the red it is now.

Would love to see what spacers you are using for the brake setup. I am running Spoon calipers on my EM1 but had to fab up some less than desirable spacers to get everything to fit right.

Once again, thank you for making this video. I have the same rims and I never put on the stickers because they seemed thick and couldn’t understand how they would stay on. I had no idea it was a dual piece! You guys. Keep it up for dummies like me. Also, how did that new brake set up work with the OEM MC? Would recommend a larger bore MC?
No problem 👍. Brake pedal feel exceptional well with the stock brake master cylinder, but definitely recommend to go with ITR brake master cylinder
this project is very good. I'm just sorry that in Portugal 🇵🇹 you can't do that. laws are limited. and then Honda parts start to be discontinued. thanks for sharing, just need the test drive☺️
