I love watching you work brother. It is like clockwork. No shortcuts or cutting corners. The attention to detail and patience. This is a beautiful ride and the work you’ve put in is priceless. I could watch this all day. Very nice work.
I appreciate that
Makes me very happy seeing you clean the inside of that transmission. Most mechanics wouldn't bother. Top notch, man!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching!!
@@andydhillon1977 I get all that, but cleanliness should always be a part of the job as well. Customers are billed by the labor hour, whether it's 15mins into the hour or 45. "Most" mechanics do not care for that part one bit and should take some pride in providing excellent mechanic work and a cleaned and finished job.
@@andydhillon1977 no that is not safe to assume.
@@andydhillon1977 ok, I appreciate your assumptions. Have a good one pal 👍
I wouldve spent my time separating the trans and cleaning the magnet. That would actually help not clean the outside
53minutes is not enough 👏
Cheers!!! :-)
26.38 - nod of approval for not preloading the bushes. Good work, great content.
You make it look so easy. When I used to do it, knuckles bleeding, cursing, frustrated, yelling at bolts. Good old times with those B series.
Thanks a lot. The lift makes it a breeze
I love how much space and how easy it is to do things on older civics, older cars in general
Yes, much easier than come of the late model vehicles
This was one of the best episodes. I look forward to Saturday all week while I'm wrenching at work. I really enjoyed you guys cracking jokes and stuff. More of that! Much love from Utah. 👌🏻💯
Our pleasure!
The attention to detail on this is amazing. Keep up the good work. I thoroughly enjoy watching content like this. I hope to one day be fortunate enough to have skilled and passionate people like you working on my car.
Thanks very much
I just love watching your videos Mike. 👍 They are soo soothing and comforting, takes away the whole days stress. Thank you for making these video. Hondas 4 life! 💪
Glad you like them! Thanks so much!
Love the attention to detail. Well done. Taking your time and doing it right! 👍 This takes me back to when I did a clutch job in my garage with hand tools and no lift. 05 Mazda 3 GT. I took the flywheel to the machine shop next to my work on my bicycle. Took me a while to get it done.
Thanks for the continued support!!
Just came across the channel, great stuff enjoy watching it. Attention to detail is pretty spot on quality job.
Talking about doing the job right and taking pride in your work, this guy works on this car like he owns it, I respect that kind of thing
Thanks for the kind compliments
@@ahcgarage. It’s only the truth, your video made me miss my Honda FN2 civic type R and my EP3 type R 🥲
Your content is exceptional. Such quality and attention to detail. Thank you Mike and your entire crew.👍🏻🇺🇸
Thank you always for your support
Great job as always Mike, I love watching you guys work as you are very professional with no stress or forcing things if they don't fit, very relaxing I hope your customer love all the upgrades you fitted 👌👏👍 John UK.

Nice clean work OG, nice seeing some of the old guys still around enjoying the hobby still in 2021!
Yes, we love to preserved these awesome vehicles
The RHD EK CIVIC Type R has ALWAYS been my Dream Honda since the 90’s!!! Love ❤️ those hatches!!
Right on!
Now I know why Mike gets paid the big bucks. Awesome work man. I'd be honored to have you work on my Si....if you weren't on the other side of the country lol
Ha! Thanks a lot for your support
Easily could’ve made shortcuts with the same results, but that’s not the AHC way! Absolutely love it and why you folks stand out from the other “RUclips builders”. The attention to OE detail with the subtle upgrades , muy perfecto
Thanks very much 🙏🏼
Love it when I see these old cars refreshed!
Thank you! Cheers!!
Love watching AHC garage videos after a long day work. Therapeutic and calming to the mind, the mods are so outstanding.

Great vid mike I love how you show a snip it of the previous episode! You guys are killing it brah !!!!
Thanks so much!!! 🙏🏼
@@ahcgarage your most welcome 🙏
Oh Mike. One more thing to do under the hood. Pop the VTEC Solenoid off, sand the exterior and repaint, plus clean interior w/ brake clean and pop in new gasket and screen. 🙃
Great suggestion!!
I have to do this as well thanks. I also need to do the fuel pressure regulator.
Great video Mike and Jon!
Cheers!!!
Done this a few time myself (: perfect content.
Omg dang, 26:25 I’ve taken out my Integra axles numerous times over the years and never thought of using extensions like that to hold the knuckle out to the side. Gotta remember that trick for next time!
48:32 🤣 I think I did see a little bit of something flex! 😅
Beautiful clean job guys!
Very professional and effort job guys! Real pros 😀
Thank you! 😃
Nice work as always!
Thanks a lot
Awesome job Mike!
Thank you! Cheers!!
I done a test before to see if the valve cover is actually insulated from the head by the rubber gasket. I used a milliohm bonding meter (used on aircraft to measure ground path resistance) and you can actually get a ground from the corner bolt hole (it was around 0.5 ohms). The stud as used in the video is a much better ground though, resistance was roughly 100 times less at this point.
The studs are definitely better, but the bolt hole will work for you if you want to use it.
Lovely car all the same, and great attention to detail with the work carried out.
È un piacere vederti lavorare su queste bellissime auto sempre professionale e preciso .
👍👌💪
Muchas gracias por mirar y tus felicitaciones.
Great job guys!
Much appreciated
As a similarly afflicted mate once told me, it’s only “OC” because it’s not a Disorder … ha ha … I get my top up of beaut OC ness every time I see you at work Mike. Brilliant. What can I say: shared same level OC, but your mechanic skills are at another level ! Thanks heaps.
Thanks a ton!!!
Now missing stock itr 4-1 JDM heather 😁

Great work and such a proper way to treat that gem of a car 👍👍👍
Thanks very much!!
I like the way you do the job ... like a pro !!!!!!!
Thank you!!
Quality work my friend.
Thanks a ton!!
Awesome vid man! I love the professionalism on the car. Unfortunately I have to do a similar job fixing the rear and front main seals on my 04 TL.
Thanks for watching
Amazing job¡ i love watching your videos guys¡
Thanks for tuning in
Beautiful ctr. Nice looking spark plug wires. I believe spoon joints 👊🏾👍🏾😁
Yes!! Spoon is life. Ha!
Great work!
Thanks!
Also..... Thank you so much for getting the word out on the correct spot to ground the cylinder head. That mistake drives me nuts. That stupid bolt hole for the JDM DC2 throttle cable has thrown people off for decades now.
Great job very clean 👍
Thank you! Cheers!
That is some extensive job that Honda doctors are doing in this video!!! Wow
Thanks for watching
that trick with the oil pan gasket was pretty sick. i need to remember that for next time lol
That trick will saves you hours of scrapping and cleaning. Thanks for watching.
I'm Thailand. I like every clip of yours
Thanks for tuning in from Thailand :-)
Super clean
Cheers!!
That's the good work😍
Thank you! Cheers!
Very Nice. editing as always AHC Garage ❣️
Thanks again!
Nice job mike...
Thanks 👍
PRO TIP!!!....Honda screws are JIS and not actual Philips. While Philips bits are semi compatible, they won't reach as deep. It takes a LOT more torque to strip a JIS screw with a JIS bit. Get JIS bits from Amazon for the local bicycle shop, and you will most likely never strip one again. Most Honda chassis screws are #2 size. I think the rotor screws are #3 and the key fobs are #1. You can always tell a JIS screw head by the single dimple stamped into the head right next to the screw slot.
Honda coolant is the forbidden blue Powerade

Very nice work!!
I have a question about inserting a washer.
Is the notch side facing the bolt head and the flat side facing the oil pan?
The flat side of the oil pan gasket face up/to the engine block

Hello, you did very well, exactly how many liters of transmission oil did you put, thanks in advance, I know it's 1.8 liters, am I wrong?
After draining, should takes about 2.4 quarts of fluid
Does anybody know how to manual swap accord v6 9th gen @AHC garage help
seems like you never miss focus on your shots. do you have a big field monitor and manually focus everything?
Yes :-)
@@ahcgarage maybe you can make video on the time and effort it takes to shoot and edit. It is crazy!

i have a question for you
What transmission oil do you use for b16a2?
Factory Oem Honda Manual Transmission Fluid
@@ahcgarage ok what are you using
Which Milwaukee impact tools do you guys use? Thanks!
All of our electric tools are all Milwaukee. Can’t beat it
So, are you an Acura tech there? Do you have to do these jobs after hours? So curious how you do all this. Wish I was able to at my work lol
We work on clients vehicle through out the day
I wanna feel...

You think he would have the same fluid ness and speed if he was using a different brand of tools. Milwaukee makes it look done easy or is it the man him self. 😜
It's definitely the Milwaukee tools, haha!!
Which axles you using? Stock?
Yes
