Another great episode! OEM fog lights and rear spoiler really make a difference on the EM1. I was fortunate enough to have both on the Flamenco Black Pearl Si I bought new back in 1999. I miss that car and loved watching you guys refresh this beautiful Milano Red 2000 model. Can't wait to see what's next!
I bought my 00 Si new and for years people said the Milano Red paint looked like wet nail polish! I still have it (stock). Daily driver w/ 135K on the clock.
Thats a nice EM Si. Probably the nicest one I've ever seen after all that work you guys have done. The only EM Si coupe that will be nicer is the one you guys are restoring in house there - I'd bet. As always great job all around taking care of the cars, the customer, the filming, editing, everything. Your guys' channel surely will continue to grow into something amazing and really open new doors.
I’ll have to officially watch this video another time. Today I’m just getting ready for work and listening to what he’s talking about. But on a sidenote this music is super chill lol 30 minutes 59 seconds
I absolutely LOVE this episode! The time, effort, dedication and work put into restoring and installing all OEM parts are tight! This is a flawless and informative, yet very fun video to watch. You guys at AHC Garage rock! This 2000 EM1 is a priceless piece of treasure! I'm interested in finding one! Thanks for the video and keep them coming!!!
Awesome content guys! You do such thorough work. Awesome to see dealer level work on enthusiast cars. That dealer ownership team must be super cool to let you guys do that. (I’m a Honda Service Manager).
excellent job. I have two Honda Civic, a 2019 Sedan and another 1999 EK Sedan (for this ) one in Portugal 🇵🇹 it is difficult to have parts. Thanks for sharing.
She looks sweet! Nice job. Would you please provide the part number for the upgraded trunk torsion rods? I have an electric trunk popper connected to my car alarm. The trunk has always slammed closed and now it's only exacerbated with the addition of the solenoid (which is a little heavy).
Great episode as always Mike, have to say that the Civic is in stunning condition for it's age but I suppose a lot of that is down to your lovely climate unlike us poor folk that live in the cold, damp and wet UK 😭😂 John UK
Nice!! am doing a full restoration on my 99 am wondering where you got the oem fog lights from? Can you provide me with the information where I can get a set?
How do you re-apply / remove / or put new OEM-like decals over the new paint? Is there a non-destructive way of removing the plastic 'Civic' badge on the rear trunk?
I have a 1999 civic si. 99% stock. But it needs some love. Body looks great but the clear coat is bad. Mine is black though. Minus the rear spoiler, what would something like this cost.
RHD headlights have a different beam pattern, they are angled to the left in order not to blind the oncoming drivers and ensure better lighting of the curb. Has it been addressed? Are they street-legal in the US?
I know you want to go the oem route, but leds in reflector housing will blind oncomming drivers. The only safe and proper way to upgrade your lights is to do a retrofit.
That's a beautiful Civic. Back when Honda Really cared about their cars and characters. Hondas current bean counters have Nooooo idea of what car character is all about. Even the new main stream civics look the same as the main stream accords. I can't tell them apart at first glance. This is why I've decided to hold onto my 02 Accord even though I just purchases a special edition Pilot. My 02 Accord is a legitimate Japanese Domestic Import. Even now the interior is top notch in build quality and fit and finish. The engine needs to be rebuilt, the cluch needs to be replaced, the oem paint has not held up at all despite my Diligent efforts to wash carefully and wax using quality products and keeping her garaged. All Honda vehicles 1998 to 2002 are prone to poor paint quality and failure. Something about the paint Honda used at that time.

Milano Red EM1 was my dream car when I was in high school. Watching this brought back some memories.
One reason we are building this car, our dream car as well
Brings me back to high school when I would see these cars as new. Thanks for the memories.
Same for us. Re-living our childhood 😁

Those 2 accessories are must have, and it was brand new too, nice!!!!
The stiffer trunk springs are aftermarket parts or are genuine parts?
I bought my 00 Si new and for years people said the Milano Red paint looked like wet nail polish! I still have it (stock). Daily driver w/ 135K on the clock.
This episode was so soothing, with the music in the background. Great job guys👍
Much much appreciate it

Thank you and yes, we get great support from the management team. Some folks do not mind paying as long the work is good and done right
Nice video, the spring boot tool made it look so easy.
It sure does
Love these videos all the Hondas Acuras are so clean and well quality video everything I enjoy watching in a video
Looks too easy, great work!
I need an si in my life!

22 year old car & looking amazing ! Definitely want a rust free example 07 Honda Accord to officially start my build.
Right on!
Diggin that hood spring tool.
It’s a lifesaver
🔥🔥🔥 love that colour. Anywhere great video 👍🏽can’t wait for the next one 😁
We love the Milano Red too. Stay tuned for the next episode

Mike & the clean boys!
Yes sirrr
Wonderful work guys and cool freestyle from Brian
He’s jack of all trade

Great content! This car is clean! I used to own an EM1 but sold it! 😪
Sorry to hear that
Nice!! Love how you guys work 💯👍🔥🔥🔥
Cheers!!!

It does get a little wet in the summer but it’s great weather all year around. We sitting at 85 Fahrenheit right at this moment 😄
Fantastic work ,civic si beathiful
Many thanks!
A eso se le llama ser detallista; felicidades!!! 👏

Looks awesome! But no rubber trim on the lower lip?
Not on this one
Like the color 👍👍
Us too!!
My dream car, I hope to get my hands on one someday
Hope you do!!
Nice!! am doing a full restoration on my 99 am wondering where you got the oem fog lights from? Can you provide me with the information where I can get a set?
We found our kit from a local seller. Facebook group or marketplace is also a great flatform
I owned a 1997 EX great car and when the civic Si came out I wanted the blue one. It was a bargain at 17k.
Yes it was. I couldn’t afford one back in that era. It was Milano Red and that’s why we are building one of our own
Great job as usual. I’m curious as to why not refinish the inside of the hood or is that not usually done?
The hood comes from factory with a single stage paint job. We want to leave it Oem
🥰😍😍😍😍em1
Where do you get them new type r headlight from?
www.hmotorsonline.com
so damn beautiful!!
Cheers!!
Great job like always 👏 👍
Thank you
@@ahcgarage your welcome
Beautiful work guys! We're do you guys purchase all your part's? Dealer still stock them, seeing oem 📦
We have most of these parts in stock
I miss my em1, I love how easy to take off bumpers not like all the newer hondas
Fogs look great, but I think gloss black would have hit differently
Very possibly
Those are the oem color grey fogs.
like out from factory
I was wondering if soda blasting would be better to remove the paint down to bare metal or plastics? I'm about do to an restro mod on a '96 civic HX.
We often see folks do sand blasting not sure if soda would be strong enough to penetrate through all of the layers of paint. Very interest topic
@@ahcgarage Thanks for the quick reply also. Btw, how did you guys get the brand new Type R headlights?
It’s an amazing machine 🔥🔥🔥. I regret selling my moded restored EJ8. Do you sell the cars afterwards?
Unfortunately we don’t. We are not flippers
@@ahcgarage Thank you for the update, you guys do an amazing job!
How do you re-apply / remove / or put new OEM-like decals over the new paint? Is there a non-destructive way of removing the plastic 'Civic' badge on the rear trunk?

I’m just over here wondering how you got that perfect hood to bumper fitment. You cut out the best part lol
Just time and patient my friend haha
great job.
Thank you!!
hi guys love your work question i have a 2012 honda pilot how can i dress it up ?
Awesome job as always! Question… what the approx price for this type of work?? Range price? If you dont want to give the exact number….thank you.
Labor time and paint material can vary. It’s about a 18-22 hours work, multiply your local labor rate
@@ahcgarage thanks a lot! Now I have an idea..
I need OEM parts 😂 where do you guys buy them from? Or any sugestions?
We can get the available parts from Honda. But for the discontinued parts, IG, FB and local sellers
Why not drill the holes first before paint? It was planned to add the spoiler.
OEM fog lights come with a detailed multi-page instruction with pictures and stuff.
Yup, it sure does. Just got to print it out
@@ahcgarage interesting, mine was already printed. But I got it a long time ago.
What brand were the led’s light bulbs used for the Ctr headlights?
We are not sure
Wow look nice you should put in showroom at dealer
Right on!!!
Whats the part number to that oem fog light kit????
08Y31-S01-103
@@ahcgarage do you have the link to order????? Honda website has them discounted
VX Hatch video soon?
Yes, thanks for checking in. We will have video very soon on the HX Hatch. Too much project in progress in the moment. Haha
Please Please, could you help me with the paint number of the color you put on the car?
@AHC Garage where did ya order the fog lights from and how much were they?
did these cars come fram factory with single stage paint?
I have a 1999 civic si. 99% stock. But it needs some love. Body looks great but the clear coat is bad. Mine is black though. Minus the rear spoiler, what would something like this cost.
RHD headlights have a different beam pattern, they are angled to the left in order not to blind the oncoming drivers and ensure better lighting of the curb. Has it been addressed? Are they street-legal in the US?
Yup sure did. Just got to adjust both headlight beams. 2 minutes job
nice job big like
Thanks!!
@@ahcgarage 🤜🤛💯
what is the average price for this job?
First like from malaysia
Cheers!!! Thanks for tuning in!!
Hey is there some way to still order or get the oem foglights ? realy want them for my ek9
Unfortunately they are discontinued from Honda. However, you can always pick up from resellers
🙌
👍🏼👍🏼
so satisfying ! do the same on my Ej8 please xD
Cheers!!
what size bulbs did you use for the fog lights?
Very nice that must of cost 💲
Surprised the fog light bezel is not black
The bezels do come in a silver finish from factory. Looks good after a while
I know you want to go the oem route, but leds in reflector housing will blind oncomming drivers. The only safe and proper way to upgrade your lights is to do a retrofit.
Thanks for the infos
Correct! The lights look great! But the CTR headlights will blind everyone on the road. The RHD beam angle is not for US roads.
Do you guys know where can I get a brand new fog light kit just like yours ?
IG, FB would be the best place. Prices are much much higher since Honda discontinued them

Hello Brian we would like to sign you a record deal . How does a million dollars sound ?
If my civic was this clean I wouldn’t even take it out the garage.
Haha
👍👍👍
Cheers!!
Is it just me or is the fog light switch not the same shade of gray? I’m scared to ask how much all that cost. Insane
You’re right. It’s a shade or 2 different. Can’t put a price on beauty haha
Could someone link me to a store where I can get those oem parts online
