I have both and love them both (I have the Reflex, not the Reflex Pro, which weighs more than the Pro)). When one runs out of battery, I swap to the other. For the Reflex, removing the back paddles was a pain until I realized that if you gently lift away from the controller, they become easy to pull out of their slots. For the Edge, the back buttons can be used in different alignments giving some interesting possibilities. I've started to like having the levers vertical so that my fingers hit them instead of squeezing them (which I do accidentally in the way you have them in this video. If I had to choose one, the edge goes to the the Edge.
That’s what you call a review mate, no annoying music, super informative and honest opinions, earned a like and sub!!! Hoping to see more reviews like this, great job mate 🙌🏻
Like you I went from reflex FPS to dual sense edge... I can dropshot quicker and the back paddles are more responsive... The stick modules being replaceable makes it a huge game changer/money saver.
Yeah the activation is the same, however travel distance is still greater on the edge, I know when I’m pulling the triggers, I tend to pull them until they stop.
I always wanted a scuf pro controller but didn't seem worth for the price. I purchased the edge (arrives in a few days) and it's perfect for me since I want convenience but also performance, plus I usually need just 2 extra buttons and it play on ps5 mostly. The fact that it's cheaper but also feels premium makes it better, also the fact you can switch profiles, trigger stops and analogs seamlessly is amazing.
My Edge should also be here shortly within the next days. I played with both the Edge and Scuf before buying and for the quality and integration with the PS5 I don't think you can go wrong with the Edge. I also think 2 buttons is more than enough, on the PS4 I had an order on them back buttons but those were too bulky for me to be able to use them for longer periods. The way they resolved this on the Edge controller was just waiting to happen, good thing there are more competitors now for Pro controllers. Now if they would only make them a bit more cheaper would be nice.
@@RespawnRoss IT'S FINALLY HERE and it truly feels premium and enough weight. Played some Apex, cold war and it's amazing and when I get more used to it my aim and performance will improve. Best pro controller I've purchased so far.

Astro c40 is the only sturdy pro controller I’ve owned. Xbox series elite RB breaks every 2 weeks. And I’m about to get my first experience with Sony as my edge is on the way. I didn’t like the ps4 or ps5 scuf controllers.
Same. Had two scuf impact controllers neither of them lasted more than a few months and had problems with the triggers and stick drift one one of them too. Never again!
Edge is best overall. Also I think people need to give the "nubs" a try before assuming the paddles are the best. Sure the paddles are comfortable and sensitive to use, but you also accidently hit them more often, especially when sitting the controller down or readjusting your hand position. The nubs on the other hand have a solid firm click and have no issues with accidental activation. They feel slightly less comfortable at first but you quickly get used to it.
@@Gmaneeeee It's really not. Some of the deadzone stuff you can set as well, is so good. Plus I can use it for FIFA and racing games. I ended up selling my Scuff on eBay and got close to what I paid for the Edge. From an overall package the Edge definitely edges it.
I had mine scuf since march 2021 with over 2300 hours on Apex Legends. Without driftstick. Thats amazing yes. Plus the backbuttons is more ergonomical better than sonys Edge
I’ve owned 3 scuffs and the duel sense edge is the best controller ever. I spent 270 on a scuff that in 4 weeks had stuck drift so bad that it became unplayable. And my other one no longer registers on 3 buttons. They’re cheaply made. Always breaking. Only upside to a scuff is the digital triggers. But 270 for the base models is not worth it when the edge is 200 and comes with more and is just a higher quality. I recommend the edge to any PlayStation or pc user. For Xbox players you can buy a fusion pro 2 for $80 and you’ll get the best bang for your buck
we need a producer that provides everything: cheaply renewable sticks to prevent drift like the edge; 1mm digital triggers, bumpers and buttons like rocketgames; grip on the back like scuf fps; 4 paddles where you can choose what type of paddles you want and a set of different sticks. that would be the perfect controller. except for games where you need adaptive triggers
I preferred the reflex FPS until my R2 trigger broke and it was out of warranty. I ended up getting the dualsense edge and I'm loving it. I just miss the 4 back button set-up on the reflex FPS. It was great for Rocket League and COD. But I'll never buy another Scuf due to their poor quality control and horrible warranty.
Exactly the same here: my R2 trigger on my reflex FPS broke after the warranty. I still have a another scuf reflex with the normal triggers which I use daily for FPS games. But also: If this scuf also brakes, no more scuf, but the edge (but I'm hoping for a second version with 4 paddles!).
@@RespawnRoss anyone know the best method to remapping back buttons on pc? I have a ps5 as well so could i set up mapping on ps5 and swap to pc? Any help much appreciated I really want the edge.
I wanted one of them pro controllers and initially wanted a scuff on the ps4. Never bought one as I heard too many complaints from people where the back buttons did not work anymore. On the PS5 a friend of mine ordered a Scuff Reflex and that one broke 2 times my reason for not spending any money on such an expensive controller. Eventually I did buy the PS5 edge for my PS5 since I trust their quality much more than scuff. Still have my original PS4 controllers which get stick drift once in a while and work again after a clean.
@@RespawnRoss My friend had his Scuf Reflex in the first month when I heard it broke. That's not something you would expect from such an expensive device, and the second one also broke again quickly after delivery. He got a third unit and I believe it's still working but it should never brake this quick. So it boils down to having more luck if you get one that will work for a longer period. I do agree that it's also a great controller. very light weight and the grip is very nice including them fast switches. If only they made their product with better components and not having these hardware issues I would sure buy one. But like I said since a lot of people had malfunctioning units more than the lucky ones I would not go down that rabbit hole...
Currently still using my Edge controller on the PS5 and it's working like a charm. I play mainly a lot of COD MW2 which surely puts pressure on the controller but have had zero issues with it. Also the added accessories are great for when you just want to change the sticks or the backbuttons. Very happy with the purchase and would recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable PS5 pro controller.
I would say the Scuf reflex fps is a more competitive and faster reacting mouse click controller with it's two extra pads but the edge is just if you wanna have a cheaper option that if you do get stick drift, you can change it up and remove the drift. On the other end tho the reflex fps has a 1 year warranty and you can honestly just send it back and tell them you have drift and they will fix it for you. It comes down to preference honestly.
i have had a ps4 scuf impact for about 3 years roughly and within the first week i had major stick drift, they do have a 6 month warranty on their controllers but i had to send mine in for major stick drift 3 times within that 6 month warranty window and they had held the controller to fix the stick drift and it usually takes about a week to 2 weeks for a repair so in turn scuf had my controller longer than i had within that 6 month time window. as you opened the ps5 scuf controller i had seen that they had used the same cheap analog sticks as they did in the ps4 impact scuf controller i had fixed my stick drift by soldering in a default ps4 controller board and have had no issue with stick drift whatsoever after i swapped boards after my warranty was up. in the end the major price point is for the added board for the paddles that solder to the bottom of the analog sticks on the board and the instant triggers. in my opinion i would only recommend buying a scuf if you know how to fix it.
Anyone wondering which one to go for: Go with the edge controller. I got my Scuf about 10months ago and the left stick has so much drift it's borderline unusable. Because the warranty is only 6months, I wouldn't recommend this controller to anyone, especially with the $250 price tag. Get the official pro controller.
@@RespawnRoss Absolutely! Almost nothing brand new fails within 6months lol. When your spending $250+ on a product, a 1 year warranty should be standard.
Both controllers looks really nice and well made but the price man the price ... I don't really think it's worth the price unless you are a very competitive player and really do need the advantage these controllers give.
Totally agree, they are expensive, hopefully this comparison gives some people the answer in terms of what they are after and don’t end up buying both like me 🙃.
I always want to have a controller to play some games on pc like rocket league or smthg like that, had 2 xbox controllers and both of them got their sticks messed up, when I barely used them, went for the edge just because if the sticks get messed up I can simply swap them instead of having to buy an entire new controller... its expensive but its expected durability is much higher
I have a DualSense Edge which I plan to use exclusively for my single-player titles because it’s better than the standard controller, and I plan on using the Reflex Pro for 2042(it’s good now). I’m a bit OCD with my controllers, so when it’s not in use, I will keep it in its case, and I will use my Turbo Air Duster before and after my sessions around the sticks to prevent dust build-up, hoping to avoid drift.
It’s gotten a lot better this gen with Corsair getting involved in QA and design. The ps5 reflex fps is my favorite controller I’ve owned. The mouse clicks are great as well. I’ve had serious issues with all pro controllers in the past including scuf, Xbox elite 1 and 2, battle beaver and aim… The ps5 reflex fps is by far the best I’ve owned but have not tried the edge as I have no reason to buy one
@@RespawnRoss I’ve owned several since Xbox 360. First one was right before cod ghosts launched. The build quality of this gen is night and day and pretty positive that is due to them now being under the Corsair umbrella
@@multi-wreckz712 I deadass have zero issue with it. It has a 6 month warranty btw and it’s covered by Corsair so literally you submit a ticket and get a shipping label to print within 24 hours. I dropped mine dead on the right trigger and it broke the mouse click mechanism (my own fault) and I sent it out the next day just had to bring the label to the ups store and it was shipped back fixed with no charge in less than 2 weeks (including shipping both ways)… and when I say I dropped it I stood up and the chord was tangled around my chair so when I backed up it slung off my desk right onto a hardwood floor directly on the trigger. I criticized every controller I’ve owned in the past including scufs prior to this gen. The Xbox elite is probably the worst just bc of the fact it’s 1st party from Microsoft and has had the same issues over and over all over every Reddit thread and YT video. This controller is better built than all the ones I’ve owned. I have no reason to lie, I paid for it, not like I have any ties to any company. Idc who has the better product at the end of the day but the one I feel is best is the one I’m going to go with and it’s not close rn…
Huge price difference between somewhat similar controllers. I love the edge. I was surprised at how much I liked it. I have a Lotta controllers and find that I’m using the edge pretty much all the time now.
I’m all about the warranties and ease of replacement, with my elite Xbox controller I always call and say it needs warrantied right before the warranty runs out and they never give me hassle, replace it no problem, I’ve been getting a free Elite controller every year for the past 5 years or so. Plan on doing the same for the sony, and fyi if you plan on doing it you can literally tell them anything at all and they will warranty it, a button sticks, it doesn’t hold charge as long, stick drift. Also sometimes they send you brand new in the box one with all accessories and sometimes I’ve gotten refurbished ones too so it’s kinda weird.
I’m looking at both of these controllers currently. It seems like the instant trigger would be more beneficial especially since I’m using it for fps games. What one would you truly recommend?
If you are happy to just have two back buttons I would go with the edge, the integrated software is much better than scuf button mapping and the edge is just much more versatile. If the instant triggers on the scuf are a 10/10 then I would say the edge controller triggers are a solid 9/10 not quite as good but a solid second. I hope that helps.
I never use L2 and R2 for shoot becouse of an angle, and for the crouch I use R3, the best sensativity for me it`s a COD games, but I wish to tune it in Rainbow six, Battlefiels and Apex. So Edge it`s pretty good choice for me
Ive been using scuf since they made the ps3 controllers and only have had a couple problems and still use scuf till this day. Alls they need to change is Hall effect thumb sticks and it will be unbeatable
Oyeah, the mute button on the controller will work in this mode too. Might make a good “hidden trick” video because I haven’t seen a RUclipsr mention it yet.
Wait what that's actually stupid and great at the same time, why would they not add that in the PS5 Mode? As far as I know there's no other Software Compatibility like EQ with the Pulse 3D's
i just got the edge and its only con, for me, is 2 back buttons instead of 4. i use to buy scuffs but every one ive owned had a failure early on, so i switched to razer with the raiju the new scuffs look slick though, i like the paddle layout on yours
Yeah lots of comments about edge only having two back buttons. For me it’s never been an issue. I’m still a big fan of the scuf reflex but sticking with the edge at the moment!
@@RespawnRoss it's a massive deal for me. i have an xbox elite, razer raiju, a pro controller for switch.. plus my old scuffs. i'm completely used to never having to touch face buttons. that's the point of these controllers, your thumbs never leave the sticks. so it is a big deal and i think it loses its title as a "pro controller" because of that. but it's still a cool controller and i love the thumb buttons for switching profiles, volume etc
Great review mate im gonna go for the edge most people ive seen with scuf controllers only use 2 paddles on it anyway as the other 2 get in the way & they are well overpriced.
Thanks for the comment! I’ve never used the 4 paddles on the scuf, I think it’s a bit overkill. I’m sure there is a market for it, but if you’re happy with just the two, more reason to go for the edge!
Yeah I sold my Scuf for the same price as the edge. The Edge is miles ahead of Scuf. The thing I hated the most is you have 4 paddles but you can't map the triggers. If Scuf fixed that it'd be a lot better.
I am bummed with my scuf for the same reason, I want to swap all 4 triggers to the backpaddles. Unfortunately with the Edge there are only 2 back buttons.
Apparently Scuf now has 1 year warranty on their controllers. I’m on the fence between the two, what is your guys opinion? I mainly play battle royale games such as fortnite and stuff and fighting games. Heard plenty of bad things about the scuf getting stick drift or triggers breaking after warranty ends and it was only 6 months, but now it’s a year long warranty, so I’m assuming that solves that issues as I could just always return it. What do you guys think?
Yeah looks like they have increased the warranty to 1 year, which is good to hear. I would still read their T&Cs to see what is covered. If you want the quickest response on triggers, bumpers etc and need 4 rear buttons I would go with the scuf. But if you don’t need 4 back buttons and happy to have a controller which can still be used competitively but may not be the quickest go with the edge. But above all if you have concerns over stick drift go with the edge. Every controller will eventually get stick drift, it’s just the nature of the thumb sticks. The warranty doesn’t last forever, with the edge replaceable thumb sticks that covers you beyond the warranty!
I think the build quality of the edge is actually better than the scuf. However I quite like that the scuf is ALOT lighter due to this. After playing with it for almost a year, the edge still has my vote.
I have both of these controllers in addition to owning other pro controllers. I have to have 4 paddles or buttons which is something I wish the dualsense edge had. For fps games I use my razer wolverine v2 or my scuf. I use rubberbands on controllers that don't have trigger stops to get that instant trigger feeling.
You should look in to the beloader besavior controller… the 4 back paddles are amazing… the features that their design has are amazing, and if you can work with someone to build you one you can have a fully custom controller with the besavior mod
Just bought dualsense edge maybe three weeks ago. Thought about getting the scuf but being able to swap analog sticks and avoid stick drift for only 20 dollars. Unfortunate for the edge only has two pedals so if that’s a dealbreaker might want a different pro controller
I was wondering if any of you guys know about customization L3 and R3 buttons with these two controllers.. I am mostly playing FPS shooting games such as R6 or COD and crouching and side aiming usually used with L3 and R3 buttons are most annoying so I’d like to customize those for better play.. thanks for your answers.. BTW this video was super cool made with all the informations I needed thanks !!!
Thanks for the comment! The L3 and R3 can be customised on both controllers, however worth noting you can turn off buttons on the edge, you can’t do this on the scuf. Hope that’s helpful!
Good question…massive debate, as the activation is at the point of pressing the trigger technically any trigger would have the same response time….I think it would only matter on first person shooters where you need to spam the trigger (e.g single shot gun / pistol)…automatic guns unlikely to feel much different.
I have the Dualsense Edge and love it. However I don't feel that the selling point of replaceable analog stick modules is as great a selling point as some might think. Because the thing is, whenever I've had a controller for long enough that stick drift starts to become a problem... I also typically have problems with the analog triggers at that point. On the Edge the analog triggers are not replaceable, so when my sticks need replacing, my triggers will likely soon need replacing also, but that cannot be done with the Edge. Unless of course you're okay with desoldering the old and soldering in new analog triggers.
With the stick drift being taken care of, my next worry would be the triggers on the Edge. What's the overall reliability like for Dualsense triggers? I know they're way meatier than a Dualshock 4 trigger module, so I fear it's not like I could perform the same, quick fix.
When you customize the back trigger in dualsense edge to jump will it continuously keep jumping as long you are pressing or each press will give you one jump only?
It will replicate the assign button, so in most cases it will just be one jump. But it will depend on the game e.g holding down the accelerate button on a racing game….it will continue to accelerate.
Mine just arrived yesterday. The d-pad feels like it is sticking and the right arrow misses a lot of light input. It requires a lot more force than the other buttons. Is the rubber membrane supposed to feel the same (as firm) as the DualSense? I really want to give it a shot if this isn’t the case, and considering a replacement/repair and don’t want to eat the 15% restock fee if they don’t deem this as a defect. What are your thoughts?
I just tried mine vs the Dualsense and they feel very similar, the edge maybe slightly firmer, but probably because it’s newer. Either wait to see if it loosens up or see what Sony say.
I own a Scuf and Aim controller and right now I hate my Scuf. My Scuf is new I just got it around Christmas. When I press L3 I get R3 responses so instead of running in COD I’m swinging like an idiot. I like the way Aim feels too it’s more big and feels great on my hands. Im going to get the Edge when they offer more colors.
@@RespawnRoss ah yes sorry, i had commented on your other video a month ago and this video is older than that, so ok. You did mention it indeed in the other video.
I use a high rise kontrol freek on the right analog so have to use a paddle on the right side otherwise it's too uncomfortable to hold. Otherwise, I would say the half dome are much more comfortable.
Ive had a scuf reflex pro for a year and a couple of months. I just had massive stick drift which ingame settings cant fix. I want to try the edge. I dont care about the visual design of controllers
I've played with a scuf impact for years, I've never seen the point in mouse click triggers when I always swap ads and shoot to R1-L1/bumpers, it's just better imo. Leaving the triggers normal for games that require them. For the past month I've been playing the ps4 version of mw2 in ps5 just so I can use the impact, I found myself constantly trying to press paddles on the ps5 controller that aren't there (gulag time). So looking into reviews for the edge v reflex. Main issue is the price, but I've always sworn by scuf 🤔
I’ve tried swapping aim/shoot to r1/l1 in the past, I couldn’t get used to it. Is there a scuf reflex you could pick up secondhand, so you can start playing the ps5 version 😅.
Can you 1 up a other reviews and try it out on other games genre fighting games, game that mashes R1 like souls-like or a racing games It’s hard to find reviews on these controllers play games that aren’t for it
You can't replace the Potentiometer in scuff reflex. I bought one and got drift in 4 months (I play about 2 hours per day 3-4 on weekends.) Go with the Edge its better.
I really don't like my scuff. Bought it and have used it once. Just so uncomfortable with how the buttons and module on the back make me adjust my grip.
I like the idea but i feel like scuf is just not worth it. With the player kit + my customized controller i would pay like 400€… i get all of these features with slight downgrades maybe from the playstation edge controller. The literal ONLY pro they habe is two extra buttons. However, if i was really after the extra buttons I‘d much rather go for the razer wolverine v2 pro with SIX extra buttons. Especially the top two extra buttons are much better placed than the scuf. Idk not completely sold for now
I haven’t tried the razer, given this is Sony’s first attempt it’s pretty good….I guess they will do a version 2 in the future which might have more back buttons. Worth waiting if that’s something you need.
The Edge sounds like the winner, but I want to know how long the analogue stick modules will last. It would also be nice if Sony made the controllers in different colours and perhaps with some grippy feel.
Thank you for the information. You are awesome. Question as well, can the dual sense he played on PC with warzone and still have ability to map the back paddles
Im not sure if youll reply to this, but what monitor is being used in the video? And what specs does it have? Im looking to upgrade my current monitor and id like one thats able to take advantage of the PS5’s graphics and overall power.
scuf reflex wins for me 4 buttons digital triggers easily swapable stick caps to accept any stickcap u can purchase online what is imo the most important Feature in a fps controller
I loved the buttons on the Scuf Vantage. But it has such bad stick drift. Still, that side button is great for reloading. The "s1" and "s2" buttons. But I love that the sticks in the DuelSense Edge are replaceable. So you don't need a new pad if you get some stick drift. And, you still get all of the great things about the PS5 pad. I love the XB Elite. I've been waiting for Sony to answer. Finally they did.
@@RespawnRoss Yeah, but at least Sony came out with something more than the stock pad, which is still really nice. So it will be cool to have all the stuff that the stock one has in it, with added buttons, mapping, and the best thing, replaceable sticks. That's the seller right there. The fact that I don't have to pay $200 every time I start getting drift bad enough. Though, I'm only on my 2nd Elite and I got the first when they came out. However, I will miss the modding that used to be easy with pads. I used to paint and add my own sticks to every 360 and XB1 pad. PS has always been harder to mod.
It connects, but need to be a wired connection. You also need to use a ps5 to edit profiles and custom button assignment….this can’t be done on a pc so it’s not a great experience!
It sucks I can’t get the Scuf with the reliability and support of the Sony. Why Sony didn’t do 4 buttons and instant triggers I’m not sure. The Edge is a better controller but it just doesn’t do what I want it to, and what most people want it to. They built a custom controller that only competitive players want to buy and then didn’t give it the things we want like instant triggers, something that’s so easy to do.
I think Sony made the Edge to understand the market of competitive controllers, this is their first attempt after all. The Edge v.2 will likely build upon this and add more back buttons, instant triggers etc.
My controller just broke.. big decision for me. Thanks for the video, can I please ask: because I have L1R1/L2R2 swapped I aim/shoot with L1R1. I mainly play cod so leaning towards the scuf. Does the scuf have clicky trigger L1R1 buttons? And what is the travel like on the edge for L1R1? Are these adjustable too?
Yeah scuf has digital clicks on L1 and R1, the edge L1 & R1 are not adjustable and the same travel distance as a normal dualsense as far as I can tell.

Thanks for watching and glad you liked it! 👍🏻
The trigger deadzone allows the triggers to be just as instant as the fps…set to 0-1 and it’ll ADS just as fast as the instant triggers on the scuf.

Scuf is trash I’ve owned two. Overpriced and poorly made compared to the Sony and Microsoft pro controllers.
I think first party controllers like the edge are certainly making the scuf look expensive in comparison.
@@dwalker4485 I do like the weight of the scuf, super light!
@@JPerkfn I like the edge so far
Edge is best overall. Also I think people need to give the "nubs" a try before assuming the paddles are the best. Sure the paddles are comfortable and sensitive to use, but you also accidently hit them more often, especially when sitting the controller down or readjusting your hand position. The nubs on the other hand have a solid firm click and have no issues with accidental activation. They feel slightly less comfortable at first but you quickly get used to it.
Definitely worth having a play with the half dome back buttons, as well as the dome joystick caps.
got both. scuf is wayyyy better then the edge lol
Half dome is great
@@Gmaneeeee It's really not. Some of the deadzone stuff you can set as well, is so good. Plus I can use it for FIFA and racing games. I ended up selling my Scuff on eBay and got close to what I paid for the Edge. From an overall package the Edge definitely edges it.
I like both
I had mine scuf since march 2021 with over 2300 hours on Apex Legends. Without driftstick. Thats amazing yes. Plus the backbuttons is more ergonomical better than sonys Edge
Dang! That’s a lot of hours!
I know this reply is late but what deadzone have you been using?
Yeah I agree, pound for pound edge is a better purchase! Thanks for the comment.
we need a producer that provides everything: cheaply renewable sticks to prevent drift like the edge; 1mm digital triggers, bumpers and buttons like rocketgames; grip on the back like scuf fps; 4 paddles where you can choose what type of paddles you want and a set of different sticks. that would be the perfect controller. except for games where you need adaptive triggers
The Frankenstein of controllers!
Yeah the 6 month warranty on the scuf is an L.
@@jaepaen they’ll definitely make an edge v2, but a couple of years wait.
@@RespawnRoss anyone know the best method to remapping back buttons on pc? I have a ps5 as well so could i set up mapping on ps5 and swap to pc? Any help much appreciated I really want the edge.
@@ChobeMoney not 100% as I haven’t used the scuf on PC, but assuming it would be the same method as the PS5, the edge you can’t use on the PC.
I’ve never had an issue with my Scuf, but have heard others have. I guess comes down to how much you use it and element of good fortune on the build!
That sounds like a lot of effort! Hopefully the PS5 scufs are more durable!
They need to give 12 month warranty at least!
Thanks for the comment, what air duster do you use?
After seeing this I think I'm gonna go with the edge, thanks!
Happy to help!
My Reflex FPS had a broken left trigger, caused by ADS to automatically release. Returned trying one more..
Ah that sucks, how long had you had it?
This is what made the decision clear. Thank you.
You’re welcome!
Nice to hear some scuf positives 😂
@@RespawnRoss I’ve owned several since Xbox 360. First one was right before cod ghosts launched. The build quality of this gen is night and day and pretty positive that is due to them now being under the Corsair umbrella
Bro Bs i have the scuf reflex Fps.
The right and left trigger have issues. Didint lasted more than 3 months.
Huge price difference between somewhat similar controllers. I love the edge. I was surprised at how much I liked it. I have a Lotta controllers and find that I’m using the edge pretty much all the time now.
Yep I think scuf needs to take a look at their prices!
Edge only has 2 paddles so I'm not impressed.
Not somewhat similar. Scuf is made out of cheap materials and dual sense quality materials.
Good to know!
I hope that helps.
great comparison video!
Cheers! Thanks for that!
I never use L2 and R2 for shoot becouse of an angle, and for the crouch I use R3, the best sensativity for me it`s a COD games, but I wish to tune it in Rainbow six, Battlefiels and Apex. So Edge it`s pretty good choice for me
R3 for crouch…interesting!

Yeah I sold my Scuf for the same price as the edge. The Edge is miles ahead of Scuf. The thing I hated the most is you have 4 paddles but you can't map the triggers. If Scuf fixed that it'd be a lot better.
Nice to try both out and see which you prefer!
I am bummed with my scuf for the same reason, I want to swap all 4 triggers to the backpaddles. Unfortunately with the Edge there are only 2 back buttons.
Where can i buy a new left stick on the dual sense? Its soon unplayable with the stick drift
Just Google edge stick modules, you can’t change the modules on the normal dualsense.
@@RespawnRoss i have aim controller
@@RespawnRoss yeah I decided to go with the edge, not worth risking all that money for the SCUF imo

Interesting, I’ll have to take a look!
Just bought dualsense edge maybe three weeks ago. Thought about getting the scuf but being able to swap analog sticks and avoid stick drift for only 20 dollars. Unfortunate for the edge only has two pedals so if that’s a dealbreaker might want a different pro controller
I think those swappable thumb sticks has a lot of people sold!
The scuf is very nice but when I received mine it had stick drift within a week and had to be sent back to be repaired. Was a bit irritating.
A week?! That’s terrible, how long did they take to repair?
I was wondering if any of you guys know about customization L3 and R3 buttons with these two controllers.. I am mostly playing FPS shooting games such as R6 or COD and crouching and side aiming usually used with L3 and R3 buttons are most annoying so I’d like to customize those for better play.. thanks for your answers.. BTW this video was super cool made with all the informations I needed thanks !!!
Thanks for the comment! The L3 and R3 can be customised on both controllers, however worth noting you can turn off buttons on the edge, you can’t do this on the scuf. Hope that’s helpful!
Nice and honest review🙏🏼
Thanks for watching!
Seems like the the triggers are the only big reason to get the Scuf, but does it really make a huge difference
Good question…massive debate, as the activation is at the point of pressing the trigger technically any trigger would have the same response time….I think it would only matter on first person shooters where you need to spam the trigger (e.g single shot gun / pistol)…automatic guns unlikely to feel much different.
that was an excelent review, great job and keep up the good work !
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed!
I’ve never had a trigger fail on me, but definitely something to consider! Let’s hope the edge is built to last!
Never in my life have I had my triggers fail
i want a scuf but i dont want to fight stick drift they should add the edges removeable sticks
100%
Nice review! Thank you! One question: have you noticed any input lag for the Scuf? (in the PS5 Cod game)
Never noticed an input lag, but I haven’t used my scuf in a while!
With the stick drift being taken care of, my next worry would be the triggers on the Edge. What's the overall reliability like for Dualsense triggers? I know they're way meatier than a Dualshock 4 trigger module, so I fear it's not like I could perform the same, quick fix.
Haven’t had an issue on my triggers on regular dualsense with over two years use.
Definitely get the edge but I’m a 4 paddle player an honestly the scuff is definitely one the better 4 paddle controllers for PlayStation
Yeah if you need those 4 paddles, it’s a no brainer which one to get.

Not on the scuf reflex

I like the idea but i feel like scuf is just not worth it. I haven’t tried the razer, given this is Sony’s first attempt it’s pretty good….I guess they will do a version 2 in the future which might have more back buttons. Worth waiting if that’s something you need.

However, I will miss the modding that used to be easy with pads. I used to paint and add my own sticks to every 360 and XB1 pad. PS has always been harder to mod.
I have a Scuf FPS. But i’ll def buy the Edge soon
Best of both worlds!
@@RespawnRoss i just wish all 4 triggers were adjustable, it’s only R1 and R2 right?
@@vortex9624 just L2 & R2

edge is 1000 hz on ps5 ?
thanks for the review do you know if the dualsense edge works on pc?
It connects, but need to be a wired connection. You also need to use a ps5 to edit profiles and custom button assignment….this can’t be done on a pc so it’s not a great experience!
But you can also adjust the travel sensitivity on the edge
You can adjust the deadzones of the triggers.
@@RespawnRoss thank you 🙏
