All in all I absolutely love it, I use the case but never zip it up as it doesn’t need to be for me personally. The only thing is price for sure. Other than that it’s a heck of a controller
The middle trigger sensitivity setting is useful in my use case. I use it when playing games because I hold the controller with fingers on R1,L1,R2,L2. The middle setting allows me not to miss input when resting my fingers on the triggers but also makes it so I don't have to strain my middle fingers to fully press the trigger.
Do not buy this controller because the back button modules are defective & will break well before the warranty period. Ok you say the warranty covers it, but the warranty period only covers a year from the purchase date - however, if your replacement controllers inevitably break past that original purchase date, then you're out of luck & stuck with a broken replacement refurbished controller. Shame sony, shame....

I am most interested in the back buttons resistance. I'd like to know if accidental presses of the back buttons can be a thing with this controller? I have extremrate kit and I HATE IT. Even after months of playing I REGULARLY accidentally press the back buttons or more specific the left paddle.
I started off using the paddles on the edge, however I would accidentally press them now and again due to them sitting along the arm of the controller, I switched over to the half dome buttons and very very rarely do I accidentally press them, slightly less comfortable but I’ve carried on using them!
With Half Domes, your fingers can never press the buttons accidentally, i have them on for 3-4 months now, and never pressed them accidentally. On the other hand, they are so nice on press, that i keep pressing them without having to :P
Great controller but I wish they used metal ring for the sticks to prevent the plastic dust to fall in your sticks. Also the back button slots need to be reinforced I just broke my left slot the other day and nowere to but the part.
@RespawnRoss I play mostly fps games and I sometimes play hard on my controllers I pressed hard and snapped the hing on the slot were the paddle inserts.
What did you use to clean it , I tried rubbing alcohol . I even contacted Sony stating that it’s a pisstake that I spent £209 for it and this happens .
This is what happened when you have idiots designs a controller. Two paddles and no concave hi-rise thumbsticks, no stick tensioner, the programming is stuck on the PS5 ecosystem.
i had mines for a while... i broke one of the paddle buttons from pressing too hard. it broke a metal piece from inside. Sony warranty replaced the controller for a new one. on the new one,, i put a rubber stopper under the paddle between the controller. now, i'm not too worried about pressing too hard and breaking it again. other than that,, i do love it way better than the regular controller. and yes,, i do wish the price was around $100-$150... sony can keep the case and usbC lock.

Since making this video have experienced stick drift? This seems to be a major problem with the edge, there have been many complaints. I believe the Edge is a cash grab, it's made with cheap components that do not last long giving you the option to buy replacement thumb sticks for £25. Greed at its best.
I haven’t experienced it yet, but it’s inevitable that you’ll get it. Hence why they sell them separate, better that than buying a new controller. However I’d like to see Hall effect being used in future ‘pro’ controllers to remove the stick drift issue!
Love the controller minus the rubber grips because they’re white and it’s already discolored after minimal use. What cleaning agent did you use? Nothing I’ve used has got it back to white. 🫤
Only thing I find off putting is the face buttons. They felt a little less crisp compared to the original dualsense and more like an old sort of abused controller. Figured it was just me at the start and the travel time is deliberately made to be shorter and way easier to press, but sometimes it really bothers me a bit when there's no tactility in the presses.
I hadn’t really noticed before but I just took a look vs the Dualsense, and yeah the buttons definitely sit a little flatter to the controller on the Dualsense edge. Interesting…definitely for the purpose you said to reduce the travel distance.

The grip is nice but my controller looks nasty and the corners of the rubber are peeling off because I get warm sweaty hands and i clean it regularly But I still have it because it is a good controller
I just don’t like the d pad. For the price we still got the under rubber ring? Pressing left might press down or up too….really? As someone who plays fighting games not really first person. The competitive “EDGE” would be d pad button inputs.
@@RespawnRoss it’s just a lot of other pro controllers including Xbox first party n third party ps5 have tactile digital click. N Sony still rubber ring. Haven’t heard of that before, have you contacted PlayStation? I would be interested to hear what they say!
@@RespawnRoss I did they just said send it in for repair
Dang, how did you break the left slot?
@RespawnRoss I play mostly fps games and I sometimes play hard on my controllers I pressed hard and snapped the hing on the slot were the paddle inserts.
That sucks! I would contact PlayStation directly, see what they suggest.
What cleaning agent did you use? I can't the the stains of
I used isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush, that should do the trick.
@@RespawnRoss well it didn't ☹️
Hmmm you’ve got to scrub pretty hard with the brush. People have used a magic eraser (Google it), I haven’t used it myself , but heard that works.
@@RespawnRoss and you are talking about the dualsense edge?
Yes
What did you use to clean it , I tried rubbing alcohol . I even contacted Sony stating that it’s a pisstake that I spent £209 for it and this happens .
I use isopropyl alcohol to clean mine, it does the trick!
This is what happened when you have idiots designs a controller. Two paddles and no concave hi-rise thumbsticks, no stick tensioner, the programming is stuck on the PS5 ecosystem.
what's the hack for the h9/h7 audio thing
ruclips.net/user/shortsmMQ91jh-jys
i had mines for a while... i broke one of the paddle buttons from pressing too hard. it broke a metal piece from inside.
Glad to hear Sony replaced it, no issues!
I cannot seem to find "hack" for h7 headset, nowhere. 🙈😆
ruclips.net/user/shortsmMQ91jh-jys
can I map the paddles to perform D-pad left or right actions?
Yes!
Does it usually stick drift for 5 or 6 months?
I’ve been using for 7 months, not had an issue yet!
Anybody else’s right stick feel weird every time i press it it’s like my sensitivity feels different and less reactive I only use it to crouch so don’t press it as much it’s weird
But if it's black you won't clean it as much...might be good to be white so you know when it needs to be cleaned? Jmo
True, but white plastic tends to yellow over time too, and not just through being dirty. Black looks cleaner and doesn’t tend to yellow.
I do use the cable lock
The middle trigger is the best 😂
😅 what do you use it for?!
@@RespawnRoss standard for single player, middle for fortnite/apex and click for call of duty 🏆 the adaptive triggers are a must 🤷🏽♂️
@@xLED_CloutLordC interesting, thanks for sharing!
I kinda want it but before I get it I want to buy the camo plates and controller because that shit is so clean
A camo dualsense edge would be 🔥
I am not a fan of this controller, which is impressive considering the base duel sense is one of the best controllers ever made
What do you not like about it? Surprising as you like the Dualsense so much!
@@RespawnRoss mostly just the over all aesthetic, gloss is never a good look on any electronic device and it just looks noisy, it looks like a knock off instead of a premium first party controller
@@quatreraberbawinner2628 yeah I agree, I’m not a fan of the gloss, I think the rest of it looks ok, I just want more colours besides white!
What i hate about this controller is the sensitive the stick … its soo hard to aim if you Play aggressiv gameplay and push in Call of Duty for me.
I also have bubbling on the rubber grips which is really annoying
Never seen that before! Hopefully a third party will do replacement grips!
I got the midnight black dualsense, I’m hoping they release a midnight black dual sense edge. Does anyone know if this fits on the Razer charging stand?
Midnight black would be perfect! Unsure on the razer charger, but edge is very similar to dualsense design so I would expect so.
Are the R/L 1s Instant triggers too?
They’re not, they are the same as the normal dualsense.
Love the controller minus the rubber grips because they’re white and it’s already discolored after minimal use.
What cleaning agent did you use? Nothing I’ve used has got it back to white. 🫤
Use some isopropyl alcohol, that should do the trick!
@@RespawnRossThat’s not true at ALL, my edge only has that issue with the X button and before that I had to replace one that had a issue with the X and Triangle buttons. It’s a quality control issues stop capping for Sony
@@TheHobbitFTW I have the same issue with mine (like a lot of people), its terrible... Gonna return it.
6-8 hours on ps5 controller is crazy🤣 but all my friends be like “ y’all still have batteries” when my controller last bout 40 hours.
What controller are you using?
@@RespawnRoss well i play on my PS5 from time to time but I’m usually on a regular Series X controller. I bought the Elite 2 but i don’t really use it.

Having one for a little over 6months i love it i cant even play with the normal controller anymore, cons is the battery life, only 2 back buttons. Oh yeah hate that its white also. Lastly my rubber grips developed like air bubbles
I’ve heard a few people say they have bubbles in the grips. I haven’t experienced it yet but that’s not good. Are they something you can peel off and replace?
@RespawnRoss i dont know they seems to be glued and also have nubs that go to holes that attach to the controller.
@@erhnamdjinn14 that’s annoying, I can’t see any replacements online either.
I love everything about this controller EXCEPT the triggers if they had mouse click triggers this controller would be the goat of all controllers.
💯
Lol mine is always connected with cable so no issue there and mine never gets dirty and I’ve had mine for 6months so far 🤔
My DuelSense Edge is Always Clean I’m Very Huge In Hygiene So My Hands Are Always Clean Also. So The White Aspect Is No Problem, Battery Life Last For 12 Hrs As A Consistent Gamer. My Console Has Dust Cover That I Personally Made Never Had A Single Dust In My Console Controllers Are Always In It’s Casings.
End of the day I Personally never have any issues with consoles nor controllers especially controllers I’ve Recently Installed Magnetic Sensor my self as a tech nerd so I have no issues in the stick drift department
Dust cover for the console is a great shout!
Is it better than elite 2 controller
I’ve never tried it, but I’ve always enjoyed the Xbox controllers!
is the pS5 even worth the switch?
From the Xbox?
I love mine but I also never use that lock for the charger lol, it’s annoying that it’s only in one colour white which is easy to see dirt etc I do wish they could possibly sell colour parts or something somewhere in the nearby future to change this or even just make a whole new colour of it
Thanks for the comment. Hopefully black! 🤞
The lock is there so your controller doesn’t become 2016 iPhone ear buds where you have to move it in ways to charge it and your just dirty 💀
I got mine yesterday, played a bit. It looks a bit "slow" maybe I just have to use a bit. Got it for Apex Legends and back buttons to slide/jump are great, 240 euros is scam price by the way😅
It’s a great controller….it’s overpriced but people still pay 😅
@@RespawnRoss yes I am one of those😌
Middle trigger adjustment is good for rhythm games
Have you got an example? Really interested as to know how people have been using it! Thanks.
At $200 for a controller, if you have one thing that you hate about it, let alone ten, we’ll damn, that sounds like a shit deal.
Still an amazing controller even with all its faults, see it as a wish list of improvements for the edge version 2 🙃
The grip is nice but my controller looks nasty and the corners of the rubber are peeling off because I get warm sweaty hands and i clean it regularly
But I still have it because it is a good controller
I’ve seen a few pictures of this! Not great… hopefully PlayStation will sell some replacement grips.
I just don’t like the d pad. For the price we still got the under rubber ring? Pressing left might press down or up too….really? As someone who plays fighting games not really first person. The competitive “EDGE” would be d pad button inputs.
That’s true, they’ve only really made it competitive for fps players, let’s not forget about the competitive fighting players!
@@RespawnRoss it’s just a lot of other pro controllers including Xbox first party n third party ps5 have tactile digital click. N Sony still rubber ring. It gets me nervous because I went thru two dual shock 4s before n it wasn’t the stick drift. I used up the d pad that it wasn’t responsive anymore . That’s what I fear
@@RespawnRoss n x box controllers in itself do not favor fighting games. You’ll never see anyone at any FGC event or evo using Xbox over ps simply because of the d pad placement
Its baffling how they can still sell at this price range for $210 But they still use pot sensors on the analog sticks, I'd imagine at a cost for arm and leg (atleast for general consumers lol) they would opt for hall sensor/magnetic sensor..
Hall sensor/magnetic sensors would be amazing!
they'd be able to make replaceable hall effect sticks for it which would be pretty cool
@@sdowww 🤞
The battery life is what kills this thing for me. My Elite 2 battery lasts for almost forty hours comoared to the Edge's abysmal battery life.
Forty hours is incredible for a controller…hopefully Sony are thinking about this for the next edge controller!
This is a massive design flaw. 8 hours a week? Some days i do 8+ hours a week.. mine is very dirty even though i wash my hands before use. Mine is even beginning to bubble, and may sokner or later come off
Battery? Tbh, serious gamers (who this is aimed at) generally played close to a small monitor and there is no need for wireless. I owned an astro C40 for 2 years and never ran it wirelessly once
Yeah I’ve heard I few people say their grips are starting to bubble and peel off. I haven’t noticed it yet! They need to sell some replacement grips! Or redesign it so it doesn’t happen in the first place! Wireless is just more convenient for me.
I think that this kind of controllers are good ig you play mostly competitive games, specially FPS. If not you are good to go with the dual sense.
100%, the additional features primarily benefit fps players!
Switch it to PC mode on the dongle
