As someone who needs to play on a very low dead zone, this controller is horrible. Sony should fix the drift issue, I have gone through a lot of ps5 controller and the drift is greater than in previous controllers. Nothing is more infuriating than seeing an input I didn’t ask appear on the screen.
you might have a faulty dualsense edge then. I've had this controller for over a year now and the stick drift wear I have on the controller doesnt even compare to how bad my previous controllers were.
I love the Dualsense edge because I play fps games competitively and it ticks all the boxes. I would not recommend for a casual player though but for someone like me it is a great buy
Literally my only issue with the edge is it being limited to two paddles This is the best feeling controller & easy to remap buttons through steam if playing on PC I’ve been using a scuf instinct pro over the edge. despite it being less comfortable, it has four total paddles/back buttons…

These controllers still don’t stop drifting from happening no matter what you do in the settings. PlayStation 1-4 I’ve never had stick drift unless my controllers fell hard on the sticks which was once or twice. PS5 controllers aren’t reliable and don’t last at all. I figured buying this would stop the issue after going through 10+ plus controllers but nope. DualSense controllers still drift and you still have to buy a replacement. Ridiculous.
@@DanielZH Very true. But I’ll never understand why they couldn’t just use the materials from the PS4 controller. I never had this issue before until PS5.
I recently got a duelsense edge for Christmas, and I've been really liking it, especially on cod, fortnite, and overwatch. My only complaint is the battery life. I play this racing game called the crew motorfest, and i use my regular purple controller cause i don't feel like it is necessary to use a pro controller on a racing game, and also to keep the quality of the duelsense edge in good shape 😎
@@DanielZH it just seems more natural to me since i used a wheel and paddles for years. Its still weird for me to use a button to shift. So seeing this feature makes me consider getting this controller.
I love my dualsense edge controller. I know the Xbox elite has 4 addition back paddles, but the 2 back paddles on the edge seem more than enough for me and have helped me improve my gameplay exponentially in all games, however I had 2 small complaints. 1.) I recently watched your video about the rubber grips coming off, and my controller is showing signs of the rubber grips starting to peel. Not acceptable for a $200 controller. 2.) I wish Sony would add some type of setting to return the controller setting to its default setting when either going to sleep, or turning off the console. I play both PS and PC, and sometimes when i’m playing on PS i forget to switch back to the default profile and those settings get saved to the controller so when I switch to the PC my button configs get mixed up, so i have to turn the console back on and switch back to the default profile and it’s kinda annoying. Other than that, I have no other complaints for the dual sense edge. Highly recommend if you want to get that “edge” over the competition. Yes pun intended.
Thanks for sharing your experience, about the second problem, you can always switch profiles by holding FN and pressing Triangle to the default profile even when it's connected to a PC or Phone, no need to turn PS5 On.
Great video! It's frustrating to see that even with premium controllers like the DualSense Edge, stick drift continues to be a major issue. What's surprising is that there's actually a tried-and-true solution to this problem that dates back to the 1990s: Hall Effect technology. Instead of relying on physical contact that wears down over time (like in traditional analog sticks), Hall Effect sensors use magnets to detect movement, virtually eliminating drift entirely. Brands like GuliKit have been using this technology to make controllers that last much longer without suffering from drift issues. It's a shame that major players like Sony haven't adopted this yet-it's time for them to catch up!
The controller is incredible but for it to be perfect it needs more battery, better grips and 4 rear paddles, and hall effect, I have about 15 pro controllers and for shooting games the dualsense edge is the most accurate, I feel better aim with the edge than with any other controller, and I play on PC, the controller can be overclocked and it is the fastest controller right now on PC, I have the elite series 2, it is a very good controller but with many more defects than advantages, the USB C port stops working and you have to send it for warranty, the buttons stay stuck and the lb rb buttons get damaged very quickly and many times it drifts in a week of use but the way it feels in the hand is one of the best controls, the weight and its hand feel are amazing even better than the edge.
My Dualsense Edge controller is almost a year old and it's brilliant, the best controller I've got ever, and I've been a gamer since 40 years and I've tried every controller and console under the sun since the 70s. I don't play COD; Fortnite or any online multplayer, besides I love the haptics and rumbling when some "professional gamers" hate it. The more tech involved, the better for me, saying so, I've found that this controller is stellar for games with 120Hz mode, Im playing God of War Ragnarok in performance mode uncapped getting around 70-120fps and this controller shines, the response is almost instant and it feels quite smooth, I don't get the same in a regular controller. I do love how you can customise the stick sensitivity/deadzone to your personal playstyle and here's something people do not get it: the controller myst adapt on how you play style not the other way around, and it takes time and adjusting every profile to each game. And here is why I haven't got the SCUF controller: it's like 50 USD more, the stick drift exists as well and the stick customisation is only via PC, so, you must own a recent PC. But it's a personal preference, I do much parrying in my souls like games and this controller makes it easier after some adjusting.
Thanks a lot for sharing! sure out of some competitive games, this controller is great and has the greatest functions of all time like trigger effects while the stopper can be changed, stick modules, and many more! About the responsiveness, in 120Hz mode, it was always faster than Dualsense in my tests but in 60Hz mode, it's sometimes slower (IDK Why) overall it's a great controller.
@@DanielZH Yes, in 120hz mode it’s almost instant but in 60fps is not that good. I’ve tested in games with 120hz mode such as GWR, HFW,(balanced) Forspoken, Nioh, Hogwarts Lehacy (balanced), TLOUpart1 (performance), uncharted(performance), Spiderman1&2, etc… I guess that you play COD and Fortnite in 120hz mode?.
@@edgarcabrera6102I typically prefer 120Hz mode in all games unless the game is so slow-paced like A Plague Tale that I recently decided to play in 40FPS mode 120Hz output. I also played all the games you mentioned, GOW in unlocked 120Hz mode works very well.
I never play competitive games and usually only stick to single player, but the duelscense edge might just be the best controller I ever used, I never touched the original duelscence once after I bought it
Got mine last week, bought it for $120 from a friend of mine who wanted to use it for his PC but couldn’t map the back buttons without a PS5, which is a con. I offered to let him use mine but didn’t want to go back and forth until he’s satisfied. He settled with a Gulikit KK3 Max (Great, budget pro controller) Anywho, I’m glad I payed the price I payed cuz it’s definitely not worth $200 with the lack of outside customization, since you need a PS5 for that which not many want one but “wOmP wOmP” amirite fanboys AKA braindead consumers?? Having to buy modules instead of just adding Hall effect sticks or hell even HE modules (Gulikit needs to hurry up). Speaking of that, wasn’t able to find any in stock not even on PS Direct. Settled with buying a pair off of Aliexpress, $10 each. Will update later today when they arrive. I do like the controller. Wasn’t fond of the Dualsense, hell I preferred the Dualshock 4 over the Dualsense but the Edge, for some reason, I like it 😅 Battery life, atrocious but since I game on a desk with my TV and PS5 (Behind the TV), hanging thanks to their respective wall mounts, and own a long enough cable (The one that came with the Edge would actually heat up to the point it actually burned me, smelling like burning plastic. No thank you) but yeah, problem solved for me but that’s unacceptable especially for a “Pro” controller. TL:DR version: Not worth $200. Don’t want a PS5? Well you’re gonna need one unfortunately to map the back buttons and whatnot. Get it on sale or even off of ebay. Stick Modules, they might restock on PS direct or try your chances with Aliexpress, if they have any left.
The Edge is great IMO. Works very well except for when you get stick drift. The option to easily replace the analog joystick module is excellent. My pet peeve is the manufacturers haven't had any replacements available for well over a year now leaving you at the mercy of scalpers selling them including fakes for 2-3x the original price. The other pet peeve is why don't they release them with Hall Effect joystick modules? Even if they don't with the standard version, at least include them with the Pro versions...Edge etc. As for back buttons, that don't affect me. I don't use them. Having one on gets in the way, two more so and four would be a nightmare. Plus the controller won't fit on the charging stand with them on.
Had this controller since release and its the best controller I owned and still havent encountered stick drift yet. I have a backup stick module just incase i get it, but its almost been a year and no problems at all. The ONLY Con I will say about this controller, is that it loses its grip after months of gaming. To combat this, I purchased some 3rd party stick on grip and its been good since then.
I like the Edge very much. It's served me well with intensive gaming including 6-8 hours per day. It was a huge step up from the standard Dualsense which displayed stick drift just after one month of use. The Edge on the other hand has exhibited no stick drift during that year except recently. I also bought it because you could easily replace a stick module for US$20 instead of having to spend US$200 on a replacement controller. However my grouse is now I'm getting stick drift issues there are no official Edge modules in stock anywhere to be purchased. They are all out of stock. Everywhere. And the few scalpers who are selling replacement modules for it they are not official PS5 modules but imitation/wannabe modules and to add insult to injury they are offering them at twice to three times the price of the original (that is, when they were in stock). As for the add on back paddles/buttons etc I tried them but took them off. My fingers were accidentally interacting with them and throwing me off. I don't need them anyhow.
Hello, I'm playing reddeadredemption2 If I put it in the default mode when using the edge, the head shot will be taken on the neck when I put the stick up, but if I set the quick setting to minus 1, it goes straight to the head even if I push it a little, but the sensitivity is different for each game, so do you have any tips for setting up the head shot? Is there a way to optimize trigger dead zones and trigger depth in a game where headshots are central? If you set the trigger depth to the shortest, the bullet seems to be less accurate in a game where you shoot a shot or two. Also, if you set the trigger dead zone to 0 to 1, it seems like a bullet is fired too quickly Is there a setting that's moderately fast and doesn't miss the beat?
Hi, there is 1 video for curves in general and 1 for Rapid-fire settings, I recommend you check those from here: ruclips.net/video/ttg4z_-M5kU/видео.html ruclips.net/video/XYuq-datZBk/видео.html For RDR2, I may cover it in a dedicated video.
The sticks are always out of stock instead of making a quality stick that is less suseptible to drift they made an hard to get replacement that won't last long the ps4 controller never had drift that bad and they made it not compatible with ps5 what a scam
Bro i have dualsense edge and i dont like it to much..i play fifa on high levels and i can say that i like more dualsense,is less heavy and the right stick is much better..i feel more comfortable with the old controlller tbh
In FIFA I guess it's not as necessary as in FPS games, and yeah I also feel a normal DualSense Analog stick is different overall, but I will test FC24 with both controllers in terms of response time to see if there is a difference.
depends on the curve and your sensitivity, it does not affect the AA directly, but if your start curve is fast, you'll get out of the AA window faster (i.e: Dynamic)
Dualsense edge user here. Buy it when u know how to fix controllers and got the right tools. Dont buy it when u dont have money to replace the sticks or dont know anything about controllers. Stick drift is guaranteed after a few months max and the stick modules could just stop being registered by the controller controller. Its a cool controller and feels powerful in your hands but needs a cable connected to the console at all times when playing pvp ( feels way more responsive).
@@mr-dolphin-dude3909 I mean what other button apart from crouch/jump do you really need? 4 is a luxury, 2 is a must. That seems to be the main opinion.
Just bought this and immediately noticed a difference in the feel of the joysticks while aiming compared to the stock controller. Stock controller is way more smooth. Maybe there is a curve i can set the edge to to make it feel more natural? Any ideas?
@@DanielZHYes, i have. Before this one i used a custom controller from Aimcontrollers. It broke and now i switched to edge. All my friends say its just getting used to, but it feels like its so slower in the movement..
As a FPS player that uses a SCUF I have 1 problem. 1. mouse click triggers are a must and they don't have it. It makes zero since they would come out with this controller and not have mouse click triggers other than it very nice.
Thanks for sharing, I think they can upgrade it in the future with a new version that supports both kinds with a swappable R2, that seems possible to me after seeing swappable sticks.
Hi Daniel I think I was playing mw3 much much better with my dual sense than the edge . On dual sense I had extremerate paddles. I down my gaming score a lot now. Using the edge don't know why !
i was looking for a new controller other than the Xbox elite 2. i bought the dual sense edge, because i like the design and the way it felt in my hands. the only things that i found wrong with it after playing with the controller, is the battery life wasn't as good as the elite or any other wireless controller. and no four paddle options . which for me is a must specially for a 200 dollar controller. the only thing that the dual sense has going for it is the swappable analogs thats a game changer. i hoping they redesign it for the dual eadge 2
So sad, what's you favorite Bluetooth/wireless gamepad that's better than the Edge for PC Gaming (or PS5)? Is it the FlyDigi Vader Pro, Macenike G5 Pro, 8BitDo (no gyros though), Gilikit KK3 Max or Gilikit KingKong 2 Pro or something else? God bless.
Hi, I haven't had many controllers yet, I had this and DS and DS4 but I'm looking into testing more controllers, here I just mentioned things that could get better in the next PlayStation controller.
@@DanielZH I'd like to recommend the most comfortable I've held (the father of the Xbox form factor and layout) and the first ever Hall Effect controller in history, from 28 years ago (I can't believe I've been using Hall Effect all these years, I only discovered month, God truly works in mysterious way but it's cause of tedious 20 days of among other things diligence in PC gamepad controller gamepad research which I have no prior knowledge of), recommend the first every to use Hall Effect- SEGA Saturn's 3D Control Pad and the first game ever to use controlled by Hall Effect (it's purpose for being made) is 'Nights Into Dreams' which have to thank for with the protagonist Nights being the first character to be controlled by Hall Effects. It also seems to have the best D-Pad (they say the best D-Pad is still SEGA- the regular Saturn gamepad) of all even beating Xbox Elite 1, 2 & Series' (it's Xbox's spiritual father anyway, same with the Dreamcast), no surprise coz' SEGA specializes in fighting games too; made the first ever 3D fighting in history- Virtua Fighter. SEGA was ahead of its time, very much so, it had a lot of first that paved the way to our stuff now. Second to Hall Effect was used in the first ever first-person game, the father of all first person games- Shenmue, still has the deepest fighting mechanic in any game that's a non-fighting game. A channel called Greg's Gaming will test those two first ever Hall Effect controllers from SEGA (28 & 26 years ago, SEGA used them already!) and Marius Heier's channel, he building a quality Hall Effect switch from scratch. I would bet SEGA's 3D Control Pad and Dreamcast's Hall Effect Trigger (I have both and I didn't know I was controlling Shenmue's Ryo with Hall Effects for years as mentione!) will trump all modern Hall Effect even after 28 years. God bless gamers and inventions.
I love it especially in Battlefield and COD which are my main games yea the battery isn’t the best but other then that for me personally I’m satisfied so everyone calling it trash maybe you are trash it’s not a miracle if you suck it’s not going to make you a pro player no controller will but it can give you an advantage I’d rather have low battery life then buying a new controller every 5 months
i bought edge specialy for curves i thought u will be able to change curves in single palyer shooting games so finaly i can have linear curve with low dead zone in every singleplayer game but than i realize thats not the case :D 2 paddles are good build quality is good but the curves and deadzone settings are not rly what i thought it would be. So now when aimcontrollers has christmass sale i bought their controller with full spec for 230euros 4 paddles clicky buttons customize theme much more for the same price. If they will fix SW i would love to go back to edge but with SW working like this u rly will be using volume up down shortcut nothing else :D its so sad cuz if SW will overwrite deadzone settings and curves it will be rly fun for casual gamers too cuz for me single player shooting games are so boring with standard curves and 20-40% deadzone it feel so slow and clunky hope they fix this
It's a shame it can't be a RAW output, imagine if we had an option for curves in games as "Use System Settings" like HDR and 3D Audio. that would fix a lot of problems.
Very hard question, did they add a response curve to Fortnite recently? if yes which one do you use there? If linear, then Precise -5 or -4 could be good for the right stick, and digital +5 for the left stick to get max movement and position changing.
Hi, I'm not sure if I'll test Fortnite in-depth anytime soon, but the stick curve affects the game settings the way explained in this video: ruclips.net/video/XYuq-datZBk/видео.html
Used the Edge on PS5 for 4-5 months. After using an old Battlebeaver while waiting on my stick modules to ship, I never touched my Edge again. I pretty much only play CoD and R6, so the curve shouldn't be an issue, and I definitely wouldn't use the Battlebeaver if I just thought the back buttons were better feeling and better placed. There is definitely something wrong with the Edge's sticks. I don't know if it's tension, curve, refresh rate, sensitivity, or what, but it's definitely not something that you can just get used to.
Don’t think they ever cared. It sounds like you’re just being lame af with your little plastic warring. Typical fanboys 🥱 Let’s not pretend there aren’t any PS gamers who don’t own one or/and do own one but aren’t satisfied. I own it and honestly, not worth $200 (Glad I got it for $120 from a friend). Great controller but nah, not worth $200.
So when I use a Dualsense edge, my joystick curve is different? I use expo in most games, so no matter what option I choose in the ds edge software, it’s will adjust my in game curve to something slightly different
it will be slightly different as not every game has a linear curve, for example in the new test I noticed COD doesn't have a linear curve at all, here's the video: ruclips.net/video/EMwa0ggHcuo/видео.html But soon I do a comparison of Edge Vs. DS default curve in linear situation.
The real reason I hate that I bought this controller is because I can’t find a replacement stick module ANYWHERE! Why is it the only reason I bought the controller for is rendered useless because now it has stick drift and no fix unless I want to pay the price of almost double from resellers, this is sad.
I actually have one and honestly it seriously is NOT worth it. First the replacement analog sticks are mostly out or sold at a rediculous price one suggested one was literally 80$ CAD for a single module. Next the battery life is brutal it does not hold a charge well. Also if your hands are even remotely hot or sweaty the rubber grip on the back starts bubbling and peels right off the back.
Redderry 2 can't set the aiming type on the game itself, but should I just set the dual-sense edge aiming sensitivity curve graph as the default? I'm doing minus 2 on the quick, and I want to find the best optimization
Sony dualsense edge module shortages now. Third party sellers charging double to triple the price now. It's ridiculous. I don't know if Sony ever going to restock modules & sell on their site again. If anyone have any info about this it will be highly appreciated.
Yes I have one, I play red dead, ghost of Tsushima, apex, finals, over watch, cyberpunk, Witcher, Spider-Man, dead space, mass effect, Battlefield/battlefront.
My issues Randomly will disconnect from the ps5 and need a full reboot to get it to reconnect. And in some games the triggers will fire even if I’m not touching them
I’ve had more problems with stick drift than controllers from past generations. I’d be happy to lose some fancier features, but pay the same money, if the most important parts were rock solid.
I never touch first person anything or fighting junk so none of this is an issue. I never bother with doing setup for games. I only play one game and then I play the same game on PC. And it's third person and I never notice lag and milliseconds I also never notice. I have a 5volt charger next to my couch so battery life is always full
I chose Edge because of adaptive triggers, still, you can do more research and see which seems better to you, the thing I mentioned here might be an issue in other controllers too.
Hi, I may cover Nacon in future and compare to the NEW DualSense V2 and Edge but it's an expensive one and I need to save money! Can't get one right now.
I have a problem with my PC Edge, I have a random input delay when I play warzone and I don't understand what causes it... something is interfering with the pad
Yes I play with a USB cable, no I haven't set the preferred USB communication method, but as soon as I can I will connect to my friend's PS5 and I'll try it. with Ds4windows it gives me the same problem,
My problem had after my 90 day purchase already experienced dead dift, instead of having it send to Playstation wait over a month or more. I end up purchasing new sticks
Planetside 2 + Duel sense edge = most Janky analog controls I've ever seen. Changing any option makes it so the controller is unresponsive or skips pixels. Default works ok but the games analog is still wildly inconsistent. DS4 seams to work better for this particular game.
Hey what’s the best joystick is best ? I’m new to controller and I’m looking for good joystick accessories. I have inferno and it’s nice but I wanna try more
I got edge tbh its average at best. Bought it only for paddles. Battery life its terrible, white color its dirt magnet n i can see rubber peeling off soon, its much heavier than dualsense n for me dualsense fits nicer in my hands. Would i buy it again? No.
Can you please review the razer Wolverine v2 pro and compare it to the dual sense edge? I'm so undecided which one i want to get 😫 oh and I mostly play fps games. Thanks
Merci
The ultimate solution is stop thinking your stats are dependent on your setup, your just a console player you have no setup get over it. Really think about y'all doin. You drop $199 for something with potential to fail operation, you already failed yourself. What you need to compete is the controller that came in your box not out of a false promise of competition edge
My main issue is that I have to use DS4Windows to make it even remotely usable. Emulation software for this is utter garbage. Skip this if you are a PC gamer. I assume it's great for PS5 players, though. *shrug*
They need hall effect joysticks 😭, gulikit king kong pro 3 has almost everything you mentioned in this video and more, only thing missing is the curve setting which is a hit or miss for me.
Curve settings could be really helpful if the game has a linear curve too! I'm interested in the hall effect controller accuracy and delay I may test a Nacon in the future.
The fact that you can change the thumb sticks is a bad thing, not a good thing. There are controllers out there that use magnetic sensors for the thumb sticks which are frictionless and will last the lifetime of the pad. Sony purposely continued to use the cheap Potentiometer to keep gamers buying after already folking out a lot of cash for a controller. My mate has had this controller since release and already he has bought 8 modules @ £20 each = £160 + price of pad £220 = £380. That's nearly the price of the whole console with controllers included. Is everyone brain washed here, why is this acceptable. Its extreme carrot and stick treatment, beat the customers with a stick by giving them a controller so bad that when the edge comes out which promises you can swap out modules and save a little money they pounce on it. I'm going back to PC gaming as the PC master race looks down on this generation consoles and laughs its face off

I hate that there's only the default color.
Same! Replacing the whole body with eXtremerate is possible as I showed in this video, but a bit hard: ruclips.net/video/jR64p2wt370/видео.html
Damn bro you you rich asf😂❤️
That's a lot of useful information, thanks for sharing.
Stick drift. The are quick to develope stick drift and the edge has no replacement modules. Theres a global shortage
I never play competitive games and usually only stick to single player, but the duelscense edge might just be the best controller I ever used, I never touched the original duelscence once after I bought it
Very good, it’s truly best when it comes to single player games
Thanks 👍 i was going to buy a Dual edge you just saved me $200.00 during inflation
It's still a good controller! If you got one ensure to buy 2 stick replacement as well, they're hard to find!
Got mine last week, bought it for $120 from a friend of mine who wanted to use it for his PC but couldn’t map the back buttons without a PS5, which is a con. I offered to let him use mine but didn’t want to go back and forth until he’s satisfied. He settled with a Gulikit KK3 Max (Great, budget pro controller)
Anywho, I’m glad I payed the price I payed cuz it’s definitely not worth $200 with the lack of outside customization, since you need a PS5 for that which not many want one but “wOmP wOmP” amirite fanboys AKA braindead consumers??
The edge is great. Stop hating
Nice work…really appreciate what you do 👍
Much appreciated
Thanks for sharing! grips are a nice idea!
Great video . Thanks for always including info related to Rainbow 6 siege ❤
I want to buy one for this game ... but it's so expensive
Hi, there is 1 video for curves in general and 1 for Rapid-fire settings, I recommend you check those from here:
ruclips.net/video/ttg4z_-M5kU/видео.html
ruclips.net/video/XYuq-datZBk/видео.html
For RDR2, I may cover it in a dedicated video.
Also is there an option for better aftermarket back buttons? Or are the stock back buttons just fine? I seen yours were gold and not black.
They only give you a new look but not a different feeling, you can check the options from here: ruclips.net/video/r4WNe13SyuU/видео.html
Thank you for all of your in-depth analysis.
My pleasure!
I love my edge controllers....
Nice to hear that! I love it too, but it can become better if they release a version 2 with functions it's missing.
The sticks are always out of stock instead of making a quality stick that is less suseptible to drift they made an hard to get replacement that won't last long the ps4 controller never had drift that bad and they made it not compatible with ps5 what a scam
lol "you can replace analog sticks for $20" the issue is, Sony never has them in stock for people to buy the modules. So they fucked us on that end.
Yes, sadly it's something that we can't find anywhere...
So how much more of delay do you get with these Edge triggers vs custom mouse click triggers? Is it really that noticeable?
Really depends on the weapon you play with, for Automatic weapons, there's not a noticeable difference.
Hey brother. Talk about HDMI 2.1, 2.0 and 1.4 which one is the best for ps5?
Hi, HDMI 2.1 if you want 4K 120Hz, for lower res or FPS HDMI 2.0 is fine.
Daniel, is lowering the slope scale in mw3 weakening aim assist? Or strengthening it
depends on the curve and your sensitivity, it does not affect the AA directly, but if your start curve is fast, you'll get out of the AA window faster (i.e: Dynamic)
Im already on my second stick drift thumbstick.. dont even wanna buy another Ato
The only real “problem”i have with the edge is that it only has 2 back buttons instead of 4 that I’m used to on the elite 2.
4 Could be good, yeah, but 2 isn't that bad imo.
@@mr-dolphin-dude3909 I mean what other button apart from crouch/jump do you really need? 4 is a luxury, 2 is a must. That seems to be the main opinion.
Got it first day still in love with it. I give it 4.5/5 only problem the grips on the bottom wear off
Nice! Hope there were rubber grip replacements for it with different colors.
Just bought this and immediately noticed a difference in the feel of the joysticks while aiming compared to the stock controller. Stock controller is way more smooth. Maybe there is a curve i can set the edge to to make it feel more natural? Any ideas?
Try steady -5 or precise -5 and see if it helps
I have this exact problem, movement feels very weird on the edge, ive tried different curve settings but still feels very slow and unresponsive.
@@Timblackops1 Have you tried using a USB connection? with the communication method set to USB.
Also as you said the ability to swap sticks because of stick drift is the number 1 reason I bought this controller.
Are the x and 0 button mushy or less clicky than the square and triangle buttons?
Yes, it's like that in every unit I've seen so far...
Acer Nitro Xv272U V3 bro its worth it for ps5 gaming and live streaming iam waiting for your review on this moniter
There's only V2 review on Rtings, let's wait and see how's the new version.
Thanks for sharing! Yeah it's a good choice for FPS games and as a first party controller it's the best out there for playstation.
When they release the DualSense Edge 2. I hope they put Digital Triggers and maybe stick tensions like the Elite Series 2.
I hope so!
i bought edge specialy for curves i thought u will be able to change curves in single palyer shooting games so finaly i can have linear curve with low dead zone in every singleplayer game but than i realize thats not the case :D 2 paddles are good build quality is good but the curves and deadzone settings are not rly what i thought it would be.
What’s the best response curve for the dense edge for Fortnite?
Very hard question, did they add a response curve to Fortnite recently? if yes which one do you use there? If linear, then Precise -5 or -4 could be good for the right stick, and digital +5 for the left stick to get max movement and position changing.
Try Steady -3
What controller thumb sticks do you use?
im playing linear but steady felt so good totaly aggree@@walterwolfgaming
Got mine last week and I absolutely love it
That's great! I like it too
Can you do a video about the stick settings for fortnite ? And does it effect it in the game or not im not sure
Hi, I'm not sure if I'll test Fortnite in-depth anytime soon, but the stick curve affects the game settings the way explained in this video: ruclips.net/video/XYuq-datZBk/видео.html
why not just use hall effect sticks
which model exactly? they typically don't feel right to me...
nice and informative video
Thanks a lot
Used the Edge on PS5 for 4-5 months. After using an old Battlebeaver while waiting on my stick modules to ship, I never touched my Edge again. I pretty much only play CoD and R6, so the curve shouldn't be an issue, and I definitely wouldn't use the Battlebeaver if I just thought the back buttons were better feeling and better placed. There is definitely something wrong with the Edge's sticks. I don't know if it's tension, curve, refresh rate, sensitivity, or what, but it's definitely not something that you can just get used to.

So when I use a Dualsense edge, my joystick curve is different? I use expo in most games, so no matter what option I choose in the ds edge software, it’s will adjust my in game curve to something slightly different
it will be slightly different as not every game has a linear curve, for example in the new test I noticed COD doesn't have a linear curve at all, here's the video: ruclips.net/video/EMwa0ggHcuo/видео.html
But soon I do a comparison of Edge Vs.
Can't you order from PlayStation Direct? It's Available there.
I'm doing minus 2 on the quick, and I want to find the best optimization
sorry but what is redderry 2? never heard of it.

My dual sense edge kicks the bucket. I’m gonna get a scuff, especially now that they’re partnered with corsair.

Yes I have one, I play red dead, ghost of Tsushima, apex, finals, over watch, cyberpunk, Witcher, Spider-Man, dead space, mass effect, Battlefield/battlefront.
My issues
Randomly will disconnect from the ps5 and need a full reboot to get it to reconnect. And in some games the triggers will fire even if I’m not touching them
I also don’t like that the only alternative you get to the base stick caps are domed, I hate domed so much

Same!
the cable is no problem for me...its long enough and minimizes lags...
Yeah, some people like everything wireless, I typically use Cable.
for me it s short, i need a 5m cable
I never touch first person anything or fighting junk so none of this is an issue. I never bother with doing setup for games. I only play one game and then I play the same game on PC. And it's third person and I never notice lag and milliseconds I also never notice. I have a 5volt charger next to my couch so battery life is always full

Hello is it me or when I play fortnite I have fps drop with the dual edge anyone know why
is it consistent? can you record the FPS in idle with both controllers and send a video of it for checking? did you try USB connection too?
The ultimate solution is stop thinking your stats are dependent on your setup, your just a console player you have no setup get over it. Really think about y'all doin. You drop $199 for something with potential to fail operation, you already failed yourself. What you need to compete is the controller that came in your box not out of a false promise of competition edge

@@DavonscpNice, it's a very good choice for those games compared to normal DualSense.
Does anybody have a response curve for call of duty? Model warfare three
What abt the battery?
i wish they would just put 4 paddles
Yes, Probably with the DualSense Pro in future.
